I think it’s someone named Thompson, who gets a handful of carries. Both guys can hit the hole Hard for 4-yard gains. Also, it may just be me, but I think CEH is just okay. Not a guy to be super worried about. He had two great games this year (one against us)— but seems stoppable.

By the way, re CEH, I am not sure him playing or not is all that huge. Those other chiefs backs all seem to fit their scheme pretty well and run hard. I thought Williams ran hard last week.

You all are a lot more forgiving about Watkins. There are a handful of former Bills that I really dislike. And he is one of them (Gilmore, Jairus Byrd, and Dareus). Re Watkins, he is soft (mentally and physically), always has a ton of excuses, and produces poorly for his obvious talent level and his salary. He’s just an underachieving slacker. Chiefs’ fans appear to have the same view of him— total frustration and irritation for him giving so little for how much he makes.

if they win tomorrow, this will be the best single season in team history, IMO. a lot of that has to do with overcoming covid, the meteoric rise of Allen, and the quality of their regular season and playoff wins.

Exactly. Why is Lamar better? Because I saw him have a ridiculous run a week ago against the Titans. The analysis is so shallow— it’s mostly recency bias. I know Matthieu is very good, but because he had a good game against Cleveland last week, he is suddenly now like Ed Reed and will shut down an entire side of the field? I suppose we can also expect Taron to get another pick 6, and to hold the chiefs to 3, while we are playing this game.

TBH, if you have only casually watched both teams all year and have your general talking points, you are picking the chiefs here. The analysis is easy— they shut josh down in the first game and Josh player poorly last week, Matthieu is a beast (because he had a great game last week), and Mahomes is the best QB in the league. I think the people that study the tape and have watched both of these teams’ games critically are more evenly split on who is going to win, if not picking the Bills at a higher rate. I think the Bills are going to surprise a lot of people tomorrow.

To be fair to you, I am not sure PM does his 12-yard drifting drop backs all the time. Seems like it’s mostly in long-yardage situations to buy more time.

Re stunts, Kollman has a video where he basically said don’t stunt the chiefs. Due to PM’s super deep drop at times, the edge rushers can race around the tackles pretty easily.

I have been looking at similar stuff, and haven’t seen high wind projections. The latest stuff I have seen from the local feeds is light mist and nothing mentioned about high winds. Not doubting you— but if you can provide a channel you are looking at, that would be great. That way I can obsessively Follow it too and stress out some more.

Today’s David Hasselhoff research project ended up in some sad news. The guy looks totally broke. On Twitter, he is auctioning off all this knight rider and bay watch memorabilia. His music career also looks pretty sad— he released his first heavy metal Album in December.

where are you seeing that wind? Everything I am seeing says 9 MPH. Also, I have read that the walls of that stadium are straighter or higher or something, such that wind on the field ends up being less of an issue. Not sure how accurate that is.
