  1. It is a total waste. RB’s are a dime a dozen. People need to understand that when you draft around 30, the philosophy also changes. you really have to stick to your board. Oftentimes you can get one of the higher rated interior linemen or ILB or safety around there. The Bills can’t be reaching for gadget guys or niche players.
  2. Twin peaks will suck you in. In college, my buddies and I binged it— it was so memorable. I have thought about re-watching.
  3. yeah, it’s a joke. All we heard about for years was needing to get Spiller in “space.”
  4. This sounds like me ten years ago arguing why we needed to keep fred Jackson over marshawn lynch!
  5. I was watching the game highlights today from the Bucs/Chiefs game to see how they defensed Brady. it was pretty similar. How did Brady handle it? Check downs. Gronk and Jones had huge days on simple crosses and dump downs. I think those were there last night and josh didn’t take them. I also think the little crosses to Knox were there all night— but were rarely called. Once, I think. The chiefs can’t cover those very well. Other teams target their LB’s and Sorenson in coverage on those.
  6. Um— you do know rosy cheeks is a symptom of mumps? Unreal.
  7. I feel like I remember Pettine sending a delayed blitz on a Hail Mary when he was with us, and it was brilliant. Super effective—QB couldn’t get the pass off.
  8. it’s called the “Bile chick heritage classic” per the thread title. I am not sure if it is connected to the “josh has yellow coloring” thread.
  9. Wow re Beasley. That’s even more impressive now that we know how gimpy he was.
  10. I like it. But even this dog would probably let Kelce catch a bunch of 8-yard passes before biting his leg. by the way, Kelce seriously had zero bad games this year. The closest he came was against the Broncos, where he only had 3 catches for 30 yards. But that was because the chiefs scored so many defensive and ST TD’s in that game, that they didn’t really use their offense.
  11. I really like the idea of getting Rex Burkhead on the cheap as a replacement for both Taiwan Jones and TJ Yeldon. He can fill both their roles on offense and ST. The risk is health— 31 years old and coming off a torn ACL. But seems like we could get him for cheap.
  12. agree. I can’t tell you the sense of calm I have with those guys locking down the back. They are reliable and fundamentally sound.
  13. Is Levi only a RFA? If so, then they will tender him and he will remain as the 2. Would love to see Dane though work in the mix and take over Norman’s spot.
  14. Gaines and answer shouldn’t be in the same sentence. Dude won’t make it out of OTA’s without an injury. Re Dane, his problem is speed, as far as I can tell from his limited snaps. I noticed him a few times getting run by and he doesn’t have the closing speed of Levi.
  15. As @DCOrange mentioned, Burkhead is a free agent. That guy is a killer at figuring out how to get those short 3rd down conversions-- plays violently and contorts is body really well. Then he brings the dimension as a great pass catcher. I assume his blocking is good, but am not sure. But I am loving the idea of Burkhead now in FA.
  16. Agree entirely. I would love to grab White or Burkhead. That’s exactly the type of RB this offense needs. We need to run a bit more to keep teams honest, but we shouldn’t be messing with our identity. Just look at the chiefs— it’s not like they were pounding the rock last night.
  17. maybe not every play— that is probably an exaggeration. But they needed to double Jones more. I am pretty sure he was 1 on 1 with Mongo all night. Steelers blitz a lot too— and the Bills figured out how to double Hayward, block Watt, and protect Allen.
  18. They needed to double Jones on every play— the same way they treated Hayward.
  19. Anyone find it interesting that Romo during the game tried to downplay his dinner with Fitz and Josh last year? I wasn’t sure if Romo was basically saying it was really much ado about nothing, or if he was trying to downplay it to maintain his objectivity as an announcer (not play favorites)?
  20. There are some easy re-signings of some depth guys on here at low-cost deals (Marlowe, McKenzie, Nsheki). I also can see the Bills locking up Levi— who really came on— to a modest-size deal. Other than that, I think they let everyone else walk, including Milano. With the lower salary cap this year, I think we will see the market flooded with more guys willing to do 1-year prove it deals. So there could be some cheap FA stop-gap signings we could make.
