TNF: Jets @ Colts, 8:20 on Fox/NFLN
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gotta say that reich is calling a really nice game here. Playcalling is very balanced. Not sure if he calls his own plays or not. But Colts have good rhythm. -

ugh. This stinks. Hope he can battle through this. Gotta pull for the underdog. -

he is also fearless. He made like 3 or 4 accurate throws downfield into tight zones. Not these little easy Tua and Mac check downs. -

He is shredding very solid defenses with almost no legit skill players around him. I am pretty impressed. -

White is looking sharp. Wilson looking worried on the sideline! -

haha— that only applies if you can’t first sweep the leg. -

Haha— holy holding, Batman. Yikes. -
Thanks. Weather.com said 10-20 MPH winds. I think anything under 15 MPH is manageable to throw in.

Does anyone know anything about the Jax stadium re weather conditions? Looking at the forecast for Sunday and it will be a little windy (10-20 mph).

geez— that’s it? what a bunch of homers!

Tyler Bass named AFC ST Player of the Month
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
To play the devil’s advocate, I do believe it seems rare for rookie kickers to have immediate success. I have no idea why, since there can’t be any sort of learning curve. But I remember looking at this before, and a lot of rookies flame out, and they only latch on and have success after they have bounced around to a few teams. Guys like Bass and Butker seem to be more of the exception. -

Derrick Henry potential season ending injury
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can’t believe the titans were so woefully unprepared for a Henry injury. They had really no replacement on their roster even; McNichols is a skat back. -
I am late to the party on this, so sorry if it was posted. But I just watched that OBJ Sr. video, with the perfectly timed plays to REM's "Everybody Hurts"--- umm, hilarious!!!

Will Josh Allen get sacked by Josh Allen?

I came here to post this exact same thing. Well done, sir. -
Ready to go where? Home? Edit: actually, this could be the worst insult ever leveled at John Feliciano!

Philip Rivers would be open to join the Saints
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
He never had a great playoff record. 5-7. But what is funny is Peyton Manning didn’t either. He was about .500. Same with Aaron Rodgers. Those guys actually choked just as much— but it is overlooked because of a super bowl run. -

Don’t get me wrong— we beat those guys fair and square. But the Colts were probably the toughest opponent we played from a matchup perspective (even tougher than the chiefs, who I thought we lost to mostly because of bad coaching). They got the momentum late, and I thought we were doomed there at the end— but the D held when it mattered. i am not some huge Rivers fanboy, but he had a great year last year, and I see no evidence that he is washed up or has a “noodle arm” or choked in that game— which others have claimed in this thread. It’s like people remember just the final Score of the Bills/Colts game and infer Rivers is washed up. It’s odd to me. -

well, for one, the Colts outgained the bills in every statistical category. And if I recall, The bills defense couldn’t stop rivers and the Colts in the second half, until the very end. That was overall one of the toughest matchups for the Bills. They won and played a great game against a tough opponent, but it wasn’t a win because Philip rivers choked or is a washed up QB, as some here might suggest. Rivers is in the top 15 of QB’s all time in terms of game winning drives. -

I love how you guys are ripping Rivers. He only threw for over 300 yards, 2 TD’s, and had a 95 QB rating against us, and we won that game by 3 points last year, and very easily could have and should have lost it. He also threw for over 4000 yards, 68% completion percentage, and had almost a 8 YPA in 2020– pretty comparable to Josh Allen. He would easily be an upgrade over Winston in NO, and is probably better than at least 20 starters in the league. -
Buddy, git r done!!

The “math” of going for 2 makes no sense
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to beat a dead horse, but how can anyone say those stats are statistically significant? No team goes for it enough to generate enough stats that would tell them their true 2-point success rate. And you cannot, IMO, extrapolate from a league average over the last x years. I mean, the stats currently show Houston has a 100% success rate on 2-point conversions. That is unlikely to be the true probability for that team.
