  1. This defense is really coming together. It really looks great when Braswell, Edwards, and Richmond are all on the floor at the same time. I also think this team plays much better D with a lead. Just seek to be more aggressive.
  2. I gotta say that I am impressed with San Diego state. They are physical and play better D than even UVA. Just can’t stop Buddy!!!
  3. I had a feeling the Big 10 was overhyped. There is always a conference that is inflated every year. Illinois and Michigan though are still probably going to make deep runs.
  4. I saw this picture of him working out the other day:
  5. welp, I only came on here to post a wonder years GIF, so.... (slinking away).
  6. I agree with you that small gadget guys are a dime a dozen, which is why the Bills are in no rush to sign McKenzie. But Watkins has played in the NFL like 6-7 years. So we know what he is. He is not a #1 or #2 receiver. He’s not really a slot guy. He is not a gadget guy that runs jet sweeps and screens. He’s not a speed guy. He’s not even a decoy anymore. He’s not anything. He just sucks away a roster spot because he is utterly ineffective at whatever he does. I guess maybe what you might compare him to is owning a super expensive and powerful convertible, when you live in Siberia. It will give you a good ride one time per year. But it otherwise costs a ton of money and takes up space in your garage.
  7. Comparing McKenzie and Watkins is like apples and oranges. Not similar players at all. I think a guy like McKenzie on this team though would have more of an impact than Watkins would.
  8. can you even imagine sammie running a jet sweep? His foot would hurt even thinking about it.
  9. I wonder if we already have our replacement for him with Gentry.
  10. I suspect they are fine going into this season with Knox, Sweeney, and Hollister. If they can add someone in the draft, that is gravy. i don’t get the Ertz love anyway. The guy seems pretty broken down.
  11. He is not even worth that much. A player like Watkins is not only a waste of money, but a waste of a roster spot and waste of an active player on game day. He will play in 8-10 games, and be gimpy for half of them. He will have 1-2 really good games.
  12. Agreed. no chance anyone signs him to more than a 1-year deal.
  13. I don’t know your background. But how can you say you have “seen enough of him”? Unless you have some inside access to practice (maybe you do), we have all seen him play like 10 snaps two years ago. I am not saying that you are wrong. It’s just that it seems like everyone is just guessing based on no data. I would like to see what he looks like this pre-season now with a few years of training and reps.
  14. I don’t know how anyone on here can be so definitive in their views either way. Had anyone seen him play in practice over the past few years?
  15. agreed. When they cut him and didn’t even offer to restructure, I thought it was because they figured age and injuries caught up to him. So I thought they would sign a younger and less injury prone guy. Instead they signed a more expensive, older, and equally as injury prone player in Sanders. Very odd.
  16. I wonder if BB is kicking himself. I would rather have Trubisky than Cam Newton.
  17. Well said. I agree with all of this, and what you say makes sense and aligns with the high expectations the Bills have in Knox.
  18. Agreed. I think his act got old in KC too. Guy makes $15M, takes up a roster spot, and shows up for 2 games each year. I doubt KC would even sign him back for the vet minimum— they are better off having a guy that plays most Sundays, as are we.
  19. No one thinks Knox is better...yet. I am sure there are people that think it’s only a matter of time, and the comments by the Bills coaches, FO, and other players makes it sound like Knox is on the verge. I don’t think anyone disputes that knox’s athleticism is off the charts— Ertz couldn’t compare even when Ertz was the same age, let alone now. Knox just needs to figure out how to play TE. Lot of TE’s take a few years to figure things out. For example, people were desperate for Jonnu Smith— his first two years in the league were pretty comparable to Knox’s first two. I am just of them view that the Bills think very highly of Knox such that they aren’t going to be breaking the bank to trade and sign Ertz.
  20. I have been wrong about just every FA move by the Bills, so I expect this will be no different. But my view is they have no interest in trading for Ertz or really paying him. They are thinking Knox is better, and may just look to bring in a solid #2 blocking type.
  21. Please don’t tell me he is eating shrimp cocktail at Tempo. Please. I don’t want any part of this guy.
  22. I sort of get where you come from. Less about the $$, more about the positional flexibility, for me. I would prefer to sign and pay guys that can play ST and offense or defense. just not worth it, IMO, to activate guys like Taiwan and Roberts, who provide nothing for you on offense, but eat up a game day roster spot. I’d rather have a bit of a drop off in ST talent for someone that provides more flexibility. That’s why I was hoping we would sign a guy like Burkhead rather that Tawain— Burkhead can get you meaningful touches on offense too.
  23. Don’t like this at all. I was hoping we would get a guy like James white or Rex Burkhead for that “other” RB spot.
