  1. the AFCN is still so wide open. Browns could even still win it.
  2. Both those clips were Diggs against Jackson. if the pats play lots of man again, Diggs will get many opportunities. That’s why I think the pats will end up playing a lot more zone. Does BB ever play that cover 2 shell? I have to think they played that a lot against the chargers, but I could be wrong.
  3. I still have nightmares about Folk after that cowboys/Bills MNF game, where he got the onsides kick And then like a GW 55-yarder. I think that was Folk’s rookie year.
  4. Bellichick weirdly played a lot of man against us last year, and Diggs abused Jackson. I would think they are going to play a ton of the high 2 shell zone this time around. The Bills haven’t done very well against that D.
  5. If I am the colts, I am just handing this off to Taylor.
  6. Almost rooting for Indy. Want to see Taylor do to another team what he just did to us.
  7. Tennessee can’t win without Brown and Julio out there. Too much to expect Tanny to carry this team without anyone to throw to.
  8. I am actually stunned this game is as close as it is. The titans have nobody on offense and have turned the ball over 3 times.
  9. Haven’t been watching this game too closely, but why does J Taylor only have 8 Carries?
  10. isn’t he almost exactly the same size as Tre White?
  11. The trash talk after this game has been great. Ryan Day vowed last year to drop 100 points today on Michigan. And Harbaugh says after the game: “some people are standing on third base and think they hit a triple”— haha. So petty. i will say that Harbaugh has a point— Urban Meyer dropped this program into Day’s lap.
  12. OSU Run defense just looked gassed. Great win my Michigan. Just ran it down their throats.
  13. Just went back and watched Dion on a lot of plays. Woof. He got beat outside and inside. He got blown up on run plays. He made huge mental errors. Probably his worst play was when he thought the end was drifting out to cover the back In the flat, so he just let him go— unabated to the QB. Let to a blown play and we settled for a FG. All he needed to do on that play is stay with the end until he was sure he was dropping. It was just a dumb and lazy mental error and killed the drive. i am hoping the short week caused him to suffer, and the long rest will help him out. We need him. He was— by far— the worst lineman out there last game.
  14. This is great. i have gone back and watched a decent amount of the game. I would go out on a limb to say Ford looked very good. Had some really nice run blocks and held up in pass protection.
  15. Just wanted to make this my daily dome post. This seemed like a good place to lodge it. My work is done for the day now.
  16. I loved that they didn’t call all this nonsense. If I had a gripe, they should have let the Oliver one go too— he just nailed him in the chest as the ball was released. the QB hit stuff and taunting calls are getting so annoying. The last think I want to see is another Land Clark game, where they are calling this every other play.
  17. Thanks! I like the idea of trying with a chicken As a test. We have the joe Junior at our lake cottage. So I may invest in a bigger smoker at our regular house.
  18. Agreed generally. But I think losing a CB1 usually is harder to replace than a RB.
  19. Did you all use a regular smoker, or an egg (or something else)? i really want to try this, but I have a Kamado joe Junior— and so am Not sure I have enough space to smoke a Turkey, even if spatchcocked.
  20. i could be wrong— But if you look at the good starting CB’s in the NFL over the last 20 years, they almost all have been 1st and 2nd round picks. No doubt that there are some exceptions (like Richard Sherman), but they seem rare. It’s why the eagles under Reid used to draft CB’s in the first or second rounds just about every year. Just look at the top 20 CB’s in the NFL now. They are almost all 1st and 2nd round picks.
  21. Agreed. The double move is his kryptonite. What Dane does really well is have very good cover skills (turns his head around, plays the ball); and he seems like a great tackler and is excellent in run support. What Dane seems to struggle with is biting on double moves and not having great closing foot speed.
  22. I am just plain confused by Benny Williams. Was thinking he would contribute more. He looks hopeless shooting the ball. i will say that the one positive to come out of this tournament is that Edwards looks like he could develop into the best center we have had in the last 20 years.
  23. forgot about cam Lewis— I thought he played pretty well in his limited action.
  24. If you look at starting CB’s in the NFL (esp CB1), they are mostly first and second round picks. That’s just the reality. Guys like Norman, Sherman are the rare exceptions to the rule. i just pulled up this PFF list of top CB’s in the NFL, and they are pretty much all 1st and 2nd round picks. it’s just a position where draft position correlates much more highly to NFL success. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-cornerback-rankings-the-32-best-outside-cornerbacks-entering-the-2021-nfl-season
