  1. Daboll is my biggest concern. Doesn’t seem like he usually gameplans based on the weather or risk of weather. In our playoff game against Baltimore last year— which was very windy— we threw the ball almost 40 times.
  2. This isn’t another weather or dome thread— I promise! in light of what is expected to be extraordinarily windy conditions on MNF, how do you think each team’s roster and gameplan changes, if at all? Here are a few thoughts I have had: 1) patriots defense goes back to man. From everything I have read, the Pats have gone increasingly zone (cover 2 shell, cover 4) over the last several weeks. With heavy wind, I would expect they could revert to man and loaded boxes— taking away the run and everything short and actually giving us the deep stuff. 2) Bills change up personnel and focus on run game. I am predicting that the Bills for the first time activate DS, Moss, and Breida for the same game, and that we may see two of the three in the backfield at the same time. This may be stating the obvious, but out of necessity, I would expect a run heavy offense. Lots of two TE formations. Lots of sweeps. Designed QB runs.
  3. I beg you— please build a dome or a retractable roof or a huge wall. The wind is the problem. It’s going to make this game unwatchable. I guarantee you neither QB has more than 150 yards passing.
  4. i am not sure which drive it was— but the reason we settled for that FG was solely because of Dawkins. I think that was the one when he thought the end was going into the flat, and just let him go unabated to Josh. It was as bad and dumb of a mental error that I have ever seen a LT make.
  5. interesting to hear how JB was watching Anselem in practice and suggested a mechanics change to his FT’s— now the guy is clutch at the line. You sort of wonder if they could play him At the 4— offense would suffer, but that length on the back line on D with Swider, edwards, and Frank would be pretty sweet.
  6. i am more worried about the wind. Anything over 15 MPH will become a serious problem.
  7. Is that true that the Saints ran a lot of cover 2 against us? I thought they mostly played man— but certainly could be wrong.
  8. haha— love Pittsburgh Dad. The “bargaining” is me big time— I am making deals with God all game.
  9. For as much as everyone gives JG grief (me included), that was as smooth of an ending as you will see. Calmly broke the press. Great feed from Jimmy back to him and he confidently went up. Love the IU fans complaining about the call— he got nailed in the side and then raked across the arms. That was a no brainer call.
  10. Gritty win there against Indiana. I have to say that the officials really took over this game. Benny getting shoved at the end of regulation, and then IU gets a phantom call on the put back to sent it into OT. Then it was just foul calls on both teams back and forth down the stretch until the very end. major props to Anselem for hitting 4 huge FT’s when we were down 4 in OT2. That game was about to slip away if he didn’t make those.
  11. even I forgot!!
  12. That officiating is pretty bad. Looked like a phantom foul there at the end.
  13. haha— totally forgot about this dreadful game. The FG attempts were just comical.
  14. Fromm has arrived!!
  15. agreed. He cannot outmart himself. Let’s get some balance on offense again.
  16. good luck to Mac Jones completing that in the gale force winds that are expected!
  17. Really nice and quick video on Dane Jackson Ron Cover 1:
  18. yeah, that’s the last I could think of, and that was in 2010! Plus, that stadium is part of a complex, which has other indoor venues. A small market like Buffalo should be looking at the stadium for all the other events that they can host in it besides football— there has to be a lot more money to make with an indoor stadium venue.
  19. what new cold weather city stadiums don’t have a roof? It would be so behind the times and a huge waste of money for the city and state and taxpayers if it didn’t have a roof. Just go build the same stadium as in Minnesota or Indy.
  20. Agreed. It reminds me of this guy I used to know pre-BCS, who said the college football bowl and national championship voting was more exciting because of the “controversy.” i don’t want “excitement” from the unknowns of the weather. I want our games to be watchable and not have it handicap our entire team.
  21. The weather stress is killer. We have a pass heavy offense and we can’t ever use it. Josh’s best games are in perfect weather conditions.
  22. yeah, I think he was injured at some point. Rivera said after the game he had no idea about the issue.
  23. Hop will be looking at his third consecutive losing season here this year.
