  1. I watched the Cal game and they actually looked good. Maybe they are turning the corner a little.
  2. well said. I may be too harsh on AD. When the Lakers signed him, they got exactly who he is. He’s going to get these constant nagging injuries. They really only won in the bubble because it allowed LeBron and him to not play a full season. I do think we will see Luka bounce back, assuming he can shed some weight and his calf isn’t too serious.
  3. This is a crazy trade. I always thought AD was an injury-prone soft player, and figured the Lakers would be stuck with him. It’s amazing they could unload him for a stud like Luka. if Luka’s big issue is being lazy, that is easy enough to cure.
  4. good topic. I hung onto all my cards, and they are all 80s and 90s junk cards, worth nothing. my kids are really into sports cards now, and so it is fun to show them my old cards. I will say that at least I got a lot of fun out of my old cards, trading them all the time as a kid. I had a friend whose mom wouldn’t let him open any of his cards. He probably has boxes and boxes of season sets in his garage now, all worth nothing!
  5. I think he is obnoxious, and needs to cool it with the refs.
  6. the big benefit to his scheme is we can get by with very cheap players in the secondary. Don’t really need great players at corner or safety. The problem is we can’t play this way and beat Mahomes in the playoffs.
  7. I have said this before, But they need to make a decision as to whether they made a big switch in defensive philosophy. Reed is great, but probably not worth it in our zone heavy defense.
  8. Slightly off the subject. I just discovered that Choula makes a salsa, and it is excellent. Hot and smoky taste to it. I had a neighbor years ago who would ship in these hot sauces from Trinidad, and he gave me one once. Nothing better. Great flavor, and would knock your socks off.
  9. It’s all still very raw. Too early for you guys to be listening to this and posting rationally! 😃
  10. we need to have a TE run the tush push, similar to what the ravens do.
  11. I wish I were as optimistic. It seems like they have some really great talent this year. Just can’t play D; O is very stagnant; and too many turnovers and bad mistakes. Rotations have been a mess, but that may be due to the injuries. I do think they have to give Red though a few years before they pull the plug. Maybe he can grow into it. Also, would love to see him have a really great defensive specialist coach on that staff.
  12. great topic. This is going to be a real head scratcher. this regime has been able to get by with low draft picks and cheap vets at the secondary positions just by getting guys who are good in basic zone coverage. But it’s clear you have to play man to beat Lamar and Mahomes. And those great man cover guys are the high draft picks and high-end free agents. i think they have to decide whether they are ready to make a fundamental shift in their defensive philosophy. That will dictate how they approach free agency.
  13. dude had the defensive play of the game for us against the chiefs with that sack. Should have won us the game!
  14. The Bills have now suffered their 56th wrist injury of the season.
  15. How about this? Winner gets the second overall pick in the draft.
  16. I actually thought he looked a little dazed on that breakup to Hollywood Brown too. I think it was the prior play.
  17. I hear you, man. This one hurt more than any of the others because I allowed myself to feel like we were winning. I was so sure of it when we had the ball, including on the last drive. I Couldn’t sleep last night. i actually even thought of just giving up on the NFL and the Bills altogether. Why put myself through this? But having a few young kids who are die hard fans— I can’t do that. just trying to not think about it….
  18. We need to re-think the defensive scheme And the type of players we draft. Big D-lineman, thumper LB, and man corners. it’s clear that that’s the sort of defense we have to run to beat these playoff teams.
  19. I actually think the chiefs got some bad sideline calls too. Late in the game, pachinko ran to the sideline and got down in bounds, and the ref called him out of bounds to stop the clock. the sideline officials were just incompetent.
  20. Same here. The one play I started to re-live at about 4 am was actually the weird overthrow to Shakir. I think that was a wasted play, which forced us into 3rd and long. The other play was around 6 am, and it was the last play. Bernard has to be able to run with Perrine on that. He tackles him in the open field and we get the ball back.
  21. Allen feasts on Vic Faggio defenses. Would have been a shoot out.
  22. yet their vaunted D gave up 29 points, and probably 36 if Kincaid catches that ball. Despite all the money and draft capital and coaching they spend on D, they only win due to their QB.
  23. Worst night of sleep I had in a long time my time. Kept waking up every 2 hours and re-living all the key missed plays.
  24. Agreed. It’s all about execution in the playoffs. i remember the lions win and thinking how well we all executed on offense— guys making hard catches, etc. We needed a broken tackle from coop, or a better block from Torrance, or a hard catch from Kincaid. That would have been the game.
  25. this whole “You gotta beat the champs, to be the champs,” is nonsense. KC isn’t a good matchup for us. Let someone else take them out for us one time. Just like the Steelers in 2005, 2009, and 2011– they couldn’t beat Brady and the Pats, and some other team did it for them.
