  1. Steelers’ fans always travel well, including apparently on Amazon too.
  2. i started a thread on here a few years ago about this— there are a string of nightmarish Bills opening day losses. It’s brutal.
  3. I used to do a dynasty auction league, with rules so complicated that it would make your head spin. At first, it was a nice change up to normal snake draft. But after a year or two, it was not a lot of fun. Turned less into fantasy football And more into the equivalent of playing the stock market. I would recommend trying an auction (preferably with a league of sophisticated players), but in the end, I much prefer a snake draft.
  4. by the way, how do you like me starting this content-rich thread? I am following in your foot steps to try to become a Respectable veteran poster who the younger generation will admire— very similar to the real Mr. Miyagi. Gone are my days of posting bad quips and tacky memes, my friend.
  5. The most amazing thing about those highlights is how much better he was last year. You can see flashes of the accuracy and touch and decision making in those 2019 highlights— but they are mostly just his raw athleticism. In 2020, he totally harnessed that in a controlled manner.
  6. Kinda stinks. I figured the Bills might try to sign him after week 1 for some veteran CB depth. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/09/05/49ers-add-josh-norman/
  7. Please tell Me that floor is all marble.
  8. Had the good fortune to hear him speak a bunch of times— was a genuinely good dude. Crazy that he died only a year from his diagnosis.
  9. I remember you mentioning it. I mean, this is supposed to be enjoyable, isn’t it?! 😁 If I had to guess, the stress of it has been caused by like 20+ years of back-breaking bad football and bad luck. Now, we are on the precipice, and so the stakes feel so enormous. I think if your team consistently is in the hunt/contender, then it probably doesn’t feel like this. They lose and it’s like, “Oh, well— we will get them next year.” I had that feeling in the early 90’s.
  10. I was the total opposite. Loved Phillips and wanted them to re-sign him— but wanted them to let Lawson walk. Part of that was that I felt Phillips bought into Buffalo and the team— and Lawson struck me as just waiting to get of here. Plus, Lawson as an “edge setter” has such a limited skill set.
  11. I was basically sick to my stomach watching the playoff games. I had to actually consciously try to relax because my heart rate (normal resting of 50) would be at like 100+ during those playoff games. Just pure misery.
  12. When I watch the Bills games, I am all nerves and superstition. I basically have to watch them alone, with possibly a meager glass of water by my side. I have agreements with friends that they can’t text or call me during games because they did that once before and the Bills lost. Plus, I need 100% focus. This year, I am going to try to turn over a new leaf. Since the team is pretty good now, I think I can relax a little. So I’m going to have a watching party for the opener and live a little. Just hope this doesn’t cause some major jinx to occur. 😬
  13. Agreed, and I have been drafting DS too in my leagues. Sort of surprised that Miss is ranked ahead of him because I think we will see Moss as the second option and maybe around the goal line. To those on here who think having a 1,000 rusher in this pass-first offense is implausible, it’s not. Aaron Jones had over 1000 yards last year. CEH easily would have also had over 1000 had he not been injured (had 800 in 13 games).
  14. Was in grad school and saw a people on their cell phones (the few who had them) in a panic trying to call loved ones in NYC. The prof was an old guy and clueless and was angrily trying to get everyone to their seats. I think we had class— but i still remember the one classmate on his phone in a panic, who said his brother was in NYC.
  15. Agreed In my view, the gameplans were the main reason we lost. Just got totally outcoached.
  16. I think it makes some sense. Every time they sign a new TE, he hits on the owner's daughter.
  17. Look at you, House! Starting a serious pinned thread! You’re turning into a respectable poster.
  18. I think Brown probably has a market, but probably not until after week 1 when salaries don’t become guaranteed. We don’t have room on the roster, but it would be great to have him on the roster for some injury insurance.
  19. I was really hoping they would find a way to stash him on IR. His injury against Chicago was probably way too minor.
