  1. The key for the Bills will be not giving up another huge run. I haven’t seen this out of a Bills D since Wannstedt— but we have allowed 3-4 monster TD runs this year.
  2. Mullens is actually very good as a QB3.
  3. i actually was thinking the same thing. Like have a kicker on the PS, who we can call up if this happened to us.
  4. That personal foul was huge. That 93 on Carolina was basically baited into it by the Bills. i will say that this type of game was exactly the same as the pats wins over the bills for the last 20 years. Brady and co would mess around; the Bills would sort of hang around until they did something dumb; and then the patriots would win comfortably.
  5. This game was on the edge of a Bills blowout. They stripped Newton on his one run, but the panthers recovered. They had two near picks. And Newton miraculously hung onto a ball when Obada blew him up on a sack. It’s those types of turnovers that have caused the panthers to get demolished. Just some lucky bounces for them today, otherwise this would have been a laugher.
  6. No doubt that is part of it. But this is also a copycat league. And I think people underestimate some of the schemes the Bills D develops against specific opponents.
  7. whats weird about Lamar is how sick the dude gets. He has had COVID like 4 times and then non-COVID illnesses a bunch more. They really need to get him some vitamins!
  8. i actually had the opposite take, and said that we should be featuring Moss (albeit a lot earlier this year). That has to be the second dumbest thing I have said on this board— the first being that Ryan Leaf would be better than Peyton Manning
  9. i thought at least 2 of those calls were super ticky tack. One was when he almost grabbed a guy‘s head well after the action. It was unnecessary, but almost looked incidental.
  10. i have a theory about this. Seems like every time the Bills play a really good offensive team, McD and company do a nice job of developing a defensive blueprint. Sometimes it works— but even when it doesn’t entirely, it is always replicated by other teams the following weeks. For example, i feel like this happened when we developed the blueprint on how to slow Lamar Jackson a few years ago. You sort of wonder if NO May be doing some of the same stuff we did in the second half last week?
  11. this would be absolutely nuts. Winds of over like 20 are pretty rare. To be in the 40s and 50s MPH for two games is just bad luck.
  12. When I heard his name today and saw him spin like a turnstile, it all came back to me.
  13. This is nuts that with 3 games to play, we could be the #1 seed or be out of the playoffs. The AFC is wild this year!!
  14. to me, it was a no brainer to go on 4th down late today. If we kicked a FG, it would have been a 13-point game— that is pretty much the same as a 10-point lead. Better to kill clock or score a TD.
  15. Great win! This was a must-win game against the best passing defense in football. We were super efficient in the red zone, and ran the ball when we needed. Defense and ST solid all the way around.
  16. Obada. So happy for Obada against his former team!
  17. I think if this gets to four downs, do you go for it?
  18. he is getting happy feet. He had lots of time on that last play to stay Pat.
  19. we are playing the #1 pass defense in the NFL today with a makeshift offensive line.
  20. That was entrapment. They just baited that 93 into that PF. I can’t believe he fell for it.
  21. I am okay with that if it is in the first half or very late in the game and you don’t need it. But you never know if you will need all your timeouts at this stage of the game.
