Colts are the real deal. I think they are actually a good SB sleeper pick. Have basically that same elite running game and elite D, but with a vet QB who can actually pass.
-
agreed. I used to play at some golf tournaments with some retired NFL players. You couldn’t even tell who the linemen were. The guys that are health conscious know once they retire, they need to drop the 10,000 calories per day, and return to a normal human size. What’s sort of crazy to think is that back in the 1970s and earlier, you had mostly normal sized guys play offensive line— 250 pounders.

He must be looking normal or better for him, otherwise why is he modeling for the camera in some of these. I do wonder if these olinemen have to really put on weight (sometimes over muscle) to bulk up as much as they can?

i bet you are right. if you look at most metrics, there are like 20+ better left tackles in the league, including probably Dawkins. I have no idea what anyone sees in Brown, except to confuse him with his dad!
-
exactly. That eye incident had to be a watershed moment for any of us Gen Xer fans. I remember even now all the details.
-
Is anyone like me, and only think if his dad when I see the name “orlando brown”? Getting old!
-
yeah, I think you said what all of us are thinking. He is about to go off a cliff. Really hope the guy has a support system around him.

the biggest breaks the Steelers got was not having to face the patriots en route to their two Super Bowls. Steelers/Big Ben would have had zero SB’s if they had to play the patriots in the playoffs.
-
That’s the problem when you get a RT to play LT. That said, I bet the chiefs pay him pretty close to this— you don’t make that trade and then not re-sign him.

Bless you. -
I am just a huge Rafa fan. Love his game, how he plays, the respect for his opponents. I know you are a Federer fan. I always liked him too. And I don’t mind Joker. But from a style perspective, just have always enjoyed Rafa more.
-
Just stinks that Rafa had to pull out. I think he would have won the whole thing.
-
I respect that. But I am in the other camp. I actually go further— Barry Sanders was the best professional athlete I have ever seen play. Just mind-blowing talent.

Le'Veon Bell to Box Adrien Peterson

Bell is going to just dance around the whole time. -
Interesting. I thought Bonilla was unique. by the way, back when I was a die hard Mets fan, I used to love Brett Saberhagan! I loved those early 90s Mets teams (Olerud, Hundley, Gilkey, Fonzie, Ordonez, etc.).

Seinfeld Series Finale...Yay or Nay?

I never really got into Curb Your Enthusiasm. But I was on a long flight today and watched a handful of episodes. I was actually laughing so hard at one point in time that I cried. it was this scene where Larry keeps seeing his chiropractor’s nasty frayed underwear, and he tries to give him advice about wearing better underwear so he isn’t scaring his patients away. Absolutely hilarious stuff. -
Seinfeld Series Finale...Yay or Nay?

The Seinfeld last episode was always going to be too tough to really nail, just based on the nature of the show. I think it was a decent way to end the show, by bringing back some of the side characters throughout the years.
