You make quite the impassioned counter argument and a lot of good points! i actually don’t disagree with you on some of this. There are a lot of bad or inexperienced content creators out there. But that is true of normal color commentators. i have listened to a lot of great content creators who are smart, knowledgeable, and great communicators. It might be a rare one that could translate his skills to the booth— but that is true of any color commentator. It is a job that very few get— only the very best can rise to the top. All I ask is that some of these guys in the new generation of film nerds be looked at as part of the pool of candidates. What I see now is the booth is viewed as just a cushy retirement job for former players who aren’t really meaningfully vetted or trained.

i have a buddy who is a die hard Broncos fan and he compared the Broncos at the beginning of the season to basically the Tyrod-led Bills.

This Fangio D is so frustrating to play against. He invented this 2-high shell that everyone now loves to play. Has turned offensive football into dink and dunk. Chiefs will score a TD here but will take 20 plays to do it.

you look at the broncos team and they have a ton of talent on the offensive side especially. Sutton, Jeudy, and Patrick at WR. Fant at TE. Williams and Gordon at RB. That total group of skill players is arguably like a top-5 group. But with no QB, it doesn’t matter.
