  1. I suspect all this chatter is being leaked by the Texans to try to drum up the market.
  2. I think the best case scenario for Watson is he is traded; pays a boatload of money to settle all 21 lawsuits; and then gets hit with like a 6-game suspension or something along those lines. Edit: Ben R got a 6-game suspension for his sex assault allegations (later reduced to 4 games).
  3. I think it is just a product of our success. You see a lot of the good teams every year playing back to back prime time games against top tier opponents. That’s what NFL fans want to see.
  4. Well, looks like he went out there to die. pretty amazing all of the people reporting sightings of Laundrie recently. It seems like many of them were fully convinced it was him.
  5. I have never seen anyone can blown up off a sneak that bad ever. Even if Dawkins holds his ground a little, then Allen might have a chance.
  6. Normally, I like standing pat. But I do think they should look for an upgrade at guard. I wonder if the Texans have anyone good they would move as part of their fire sale.
  7. i was thinking of doing the same. Between Winston and Keenum, and I am on the fence.
  8. Keenum has to be a top-5 backup. I think he will manage and do as well as Baker would do. But if the browns can’t run, they are done regardless of who the QB is.
  9. 1) it would be interesting to hear Vrabel talk about his influences. But I have heard him talk of his formative early years with the Steelers under Jim Hazlett. And He has Hazlett on his staff, and his defense looks similar to the Hazlett-coached And LeBeau-coached defenses of the Steelers. 2) I may have misunderstood the OP re whether Vrabel is from the Bellichick tree. I will note that I don’t believe he ever coached under Bellichick.
  10. I like him, but the big knock on him out of college is that he doesn’t have enough vowels.
  11. It is pretty rare to not pick up the 5th year. There Has to be some major red flag.
  12. Statistically, what is a good red zone offense? Right now, we have the most trips in the league, scored 100% of the time, but have about a 58% TD rate. by comparison, TB is in the low 60%’s and KC is around 70%. what is a very good/elite conversion rate?
  13. I will just say this about Vrabel— i think it be totally unfair to say he came from the Bellichick coaching tree. He didn’t. in fact, My theory is that his style of coaching is more of a product of playing for the Steelers than anything else. Play hard physical 3-4 defense; and run the ball. He even cycles through assistants and players in the same way as the Steelers do— just fit new guys into your general Framework and keep going.
  14. Would be risky, but I think we had time to use a TO and score. The reality is you get the first down, and then can call your last TO if needed, and then you have probably 2 passes to the endzone to try to score.
  15. Hindsight is 20/20— but using a timeout there would have really been wise. Settle everything down; get into the right play call.
  16. I am the first guy to blame the refs usually— but that was literally a perfect spot.
  17. Why couldn’t Tre shadow AJ? Instead, Tre was crashing the run. Sort of odd.
  18. And we held Tanny to 215 yards passing. I thought the D played fine. Henry is just a beast to stop in the red zone and those little 5-yard runs here and there add up, and then he punches them in.
  19. I actually also thought they wanted to cover more for the physicality of it— set the tone and blow them up. I think they did pretty well overall. But i am of the “don’t tempt fate” camp.
  20. he was trying for the kill Shot. We could have dunked and dunked it for a FG instead.
