he needed to exercise self-control. The hubris of this guy to think he can walk up there in front of a live audience on live TV and do that— it is unbelievable. By the way, I sort of stopped watching will smith movies years ago when everyone was the same post-apocalyptic sci fi movie. He’s made the same movie like 100 times. That said, King Richard did pique my interest— though I haven’t seen it yet. Not only have I not seen any of these Oscar movies, it is hard to even figure out how/where to watch them anymore!

And then will smith wins best actor! he audibled well on his speech, but don’t think public opinion will buy his “I am a man of love, defending my loved ones” Schtick.

Let me just foreshadow my 2022-23 grievance: ”why did we sign Duke Johnson when we never activate him, and use up a gameday spot on Taiwan Jones?”

i have a buddy who went to Rutgers and had the same experience as you. I think it must be the school. I have heard is it ridiculously huge. Also, I bet commuting didn’t help. At the school I went to, the commuters really had a strange and detached experience. I went to a small liberal arts school (about 2000 kids), and lived on campus. Really loved it. Two of my closest friends and my wife are all people I met in college. But otherwise, I don’t keep in touch with a lot of people from there anymore.

interesting that you are hearing Cole is 50/50. I just assumed he was gone. He could really benefit from another year, especially where he might be the go-to scorer.

I bet Williams and Ojabo are both drafted before 25.

i haven’t studied all the receivers out there and what they might command. But I see Golden Tate floating around out there— I think he is a guy that you can play both inside and out. I don’t mean to be critical of Crowder. He may be the better fit, as more of a pure slot. Just hoping we can fill out the depth at the WR position.

i hear you. But that’s why I was hoping we could get a guy with a little more versatility than Crowder. What was nice about Sanders last year was he could play both inside and out. Now, we have to find another receiver (probably in the draft) to get some depth on the outside. Unless, i guess, if Hodgins can finally contribute there.

I would have preferred someone that could play both inside and outside. Jets used crowder a lot on the outside, but he really struggled there. I think he is being brought in to play exclusively out of the slot. We still need someone who can back up Diggs and Gabe on the outside.

I think we tried to sign him, but he didn’t see the contract— he kept turning around and glaring at his agent.

Interesting to see the market at LB. Inside LB just isn’t a position of value as much anymore. I think we already have all our defensive ends. Miller and Shaq basically replaced Hughes and Addison. I guess we could arguably have a need for a replacement for Obada, but wouldn’t surprise me if they used that on a late-round rookie.

totally agree. I thought Mariotta was going to be a hotter FA prospect— even more so than Trubisky.
