Dude always was totally befuddled on the sideline. i still remember a browns/Steelers game, where the browns were called for 3 penalties on one play. The look of sheer confusion and bewilderment on his face was hilarious.

Weird move. Also, news to Me that Austin is still in the league. A top-10 pick in one of the worst draft classes in recent memory.

What position concerns you the most?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can see why you say that. But Brown looked great for a raw rookie last year. He had one really bad game, but otherwise ranged from serviceable to very good. And Bates also looked good in his limited chances. I think you give both those guys a full year as starters, and there’s bound to be some improvement. To me, CB is a much more pressing concern. Lot to ask of a barely recovered White and a rookie Elam to be dropped into the starting lineup given what our schedule looks like the first 6 weeks. -
i would love to see a non-standard PED response, like: “oh, dang. Got me. See y’all in 6 weeks!”

Ryan Fitzpatrick calls it a career
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forgot about that play— absolutely epic. Really defines his career too. -
For any self-respecting Bills fan, that hit is very important to pull up on YouTube and watch every few months.

Capitol One The Match (Allen Tattoo)
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to TheNorwoodStrangler's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, you’re right. I think I was mostly referring to his driver— he has been a mess off the tee with that. But his irons and short game have been pretty good. Mahomes really doing a nice job with his short game too, esp putting. I will say that it is interesting to see his chipping— he is really wristy, but it seems to work. -

Golf can humble even these great athletes. JA looking like a mess out there— I have been there! -
Allen tied for 5th lowest checkdown rate in NFL
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Re Tua, I bet they define a check down as a pass less than x yards to a RB, or at least as the second read. Tua was throwing 3-yard lasers to his receivers as his first read. -
good points. Can’t really realistically simulate or practice a crisis situation like this.

thats what I was thinking. very sad. Like others have said, Goodfellas is an iconic movie and he was a star in it.

Didn’t realize how big he is. 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. That’s Diggs’s size. Seems like he can easily play outside.

I don’t quite understand still how the shooter got into the school. In our schools, all the doors are locked during the day. I think most schools started doing this 5+ years ago.

that is exactly right. He probably saw the money and the location of the city, and was like, “okay, trade me there.” it kind of reminds me of when we almost signed McKissick and he kept referring to us as the “buffalos.” Some of these NFL players don’t seem to really football at all.

they really have tweedle dee and tweedle “dumb” over there in Miami.

Haha— context matters. Before praising Tua for throwing one of the “prettiest balls” Hill has seen, Hill made it clear that he came to Miami with low expectations. “At first, I thought it was going to be something crazy, the ball going all over the place,” Hill said, “but Tua actually has probably one of the prettiest balls I’ve ever caught in my life. It’s very catchable. I don’t want to continue because the more I talk, the more it sounds weird. Tua is a very accurate quarterback. That’s all I’m going to say.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/05/25/tyreek-hill-admittedly-had-low-expectations-for-tua-tagovailoa/

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Twice on Monday at Bills camp, E.J. Manuel dropped back and launched deep, soft throws high in the air. Twice they nestled easily into receivers’ hands, including a 53-yard strike to fellow rookie Da’Rick Rogers. Beautiful throws. Just the right touch, and Manuel threw both balls only when his man had a step on the cornerback. That’s the essence of a good lofted deep ball: You throw it deep enough where only your guy can get it, and high enough so the receiver can adjust his speed to the flight path of the ball. https://www.si.com/.amp/nfl/2013/07/31/ej-manuel-buffalo-bills-camp

This is the time of year when the team controls all the media. I have my doubts.

Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty sobering. my only response would be to hope that these stats reflect more of the “average” NFL player. A lot of the NFL “elite” tore their ACL’s and went onto have productive careers. Von Miller and Darrell Revis both come to mind. -

Ex - Bronco Brendan Langley in airport brawl

I am no boxing expert. But the Muhammad Ali hands down, bobbing style doesn’t appear to be the most effective self-defense strategy. Even Mr. Miyagi is going to be blocking those punches. -
Allen to appear on PGA championship alternate telecast
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The comments in that twitter thread are gold. i hear you! That said, even a lot of these pro athletes are like us regular folk too. I remember chatting with this one retired NFL lineman a few years back. He was a semi-starter and had probably a 8-year career. He was basically exhausted— said his wife worked full time now and the deal they made was he would be the stay at home dad when he retired. -

haha— true. He can probably turn over duties to the Au Pair. -

Wow, mitch has a nice wife— she just had a baby a few weeks ago! The idea of me asking to play golf even on a public course 5 minutes from my house with a newborn in the house would have been produced uproarious laughter from my wife.
