  1. I do think JB needs to get Benny a lot more minutes here, especially in the early games. He really needs the PT if he is going to contribute in conference play.
  2. What I find to be interesting is that teams disrespect our playaction. If you have looked at our run struggles, the entire defense just attacks our runs. In the jags game, any time we tried to run, it was like 11 guys going right after the RB. The more we run playaction, the more our running game will open up.
  3. i don’t get how they can generate the lanes they do so effortlessly. I think they run a pretty similar zone scheme to what we run— but just use way more misdirection, etc.
  4. Jimmy is a super crafty shot creator. I love how assertive he has been too. That said, the big irony given his dad, is that he is the weak link on defense.
  5. Agree. Bojo is having a tremendous punting season, but—shocker— Crosby has missed like 10 kicks.
  6. Agreed. I felt like we were outplayed and escaped with that win in the playoffs last year. I hate the match-up. Bills will have to play mistake-free football, and force Wentz into some bad mistakes. Can't have our RB's fumbling the ball, and those bad penalties and sacks. Also, I think the Colts mostly play cover 2, with that 2-man shell. It's exactly the type of defense that we have a hard time with-- going to have to run the ball and do quick hitters. Take all the underneath stuff.
  7. i believe I read that he came back into that game yesterday.
  8. jets team doctor diagnosed him: “Mr. White, I believe you were smooshed by AJ Klein.”
  9. NFL just needs to change the rules and allow the booth to do a quick video review/confirm on any roughing calls. Probably won’t happen— but it would be a good way to balance protecting QB’s against these bad game-changing calls (where the refs often have bad angles).
  10. i think Josh is due for a red zone interception. (and that is how you pull off a reverse jinx)
  11. I am pretty sure it is a crime to possess brass knuckles in most states, including NJ.
  12. Those disguised blitzes by Spags always seem so hard to block. That’s what really burned our oline against the Jags.
  13. BTW, to my untrained eye, I thought this was Obada’s best game. He had the one sack (negated by the AJE late hit), and I think he may have been credited with another one on a force out of White. But I saw him have a number of decent run stops and pressures (including one that the announcers highlighted).
  14. I am seeing a lot of taunting in this game, and yet no flags!!
  15. i agree completely— but the person to blame is Dawkins. What a dumb penalty. He could have let his guy go through untouched if he wanted on that play.
  16. I said this in the GDT, but I am amazed at Tyler Bass. You look around the NFL, and the kicking is dreadful. Then, you see Bass. He makes it look so effortless. On his PATs, it reminds me of a pro golfer hitting a 70-yard pitch. Just so easy and perfect every time. i really think he has a shot at the pro bowl this year. Deservedly so.
  17. How do you sit Klein next week against the Colts? We need him as a run stuffer more than we need Edmonds in coverage.
  18. i am legit worried. Seems like every time I tune into a game, Mac has been going down the field a lot more, and his accuracy is solid. They have him behind a line that protects him well, with a bunch of very good safety outlets. Even then, I don’t think he is who I am most worried about. The Pats D looks solid, and given our offensive line woes, I am worried about all the stunts and disguises BB is going to use to confuse them.
  19. was that really a missed block by Breida? He went out and ran a short route— wasn’t sure if it is on him to adjust or what?
  20. the key to me was all the playaction they ran. I noticed this in the jags game, but when the Bills get under center and run their stretch plays, the D goes 100% playing the run. Just getting under center today really slowed down the rush.
  21. trust the process. losses, ties, wins, broken knee caps.
