  1. rats! Was hoping he would come back. I think he actually has an NBA game potentially— could have used another year to see. Also— and maybe this is me— nothing is going to be better than college! Stay another year and have a lot of fun!
  2. I really hope this doesn’t come to fruition. The guy is injury prone, will cost too much, and thinks way too much of himself. I am not going to be able to tolerate all his “looking around to blame others” looks all game too.
  3. completely agree. Sanders has a lot more left in the tank than Julio does.
  4. “At your highest moment, be careful. That’s when the devil comes for you.” can’t recall what movie I saw it in— some fighting action flick set in LA, I think.
  5. if I had a place I sort of liked on our last trip, it was lower Manhattan and the financial district. Just seemed a little cleaner, open, and less crowded. We made our way up into Chinatown and little Italy— which, while crowded, had a great vibe and we hit up some great food spots. We went to a great show also, but it is funny— I was telling my wife that if I had to guess, 90% of people at these shows (and nice restaurants) have to be tourists. I don’t think the people that live in NY do any of that stuff on a regular basis— which is funny, because over the years, that seems like the appeal to draw people to live there (theatre, restaurants, night life).
  6. I was in NYC not long ago. I have been there a number of times through the years. I just don’t sort of get the appeal. Any time I am there, it just seems crowded and “hard” to do anything or get around, and I am overwhelmed with the smells of garbage (and now garbage plus marijuana). Sort of curious what people’s thoughts are. And also if there are fans of it, best neighborhoods to hang out in and visit? Maybe I am not going to the right places or doing the right things I have spent time in midtown, east and west sides, and downtown (Lower Manhattan). But haven’t spent much time at all in the upper west or upper east sides or Harlem and north of Manhattan.
  7. Only one guy I can think of that they may be thinking for that roster spot. DUuuuuuuuukkkee!!!!!!!!!
  8. i got three kids and I have read every Zach ertz post on this board— get your priorities straight!!
  9. wait, your screen name is “die hard bills fan” and you don’t have time to read a few Bills posts? 😁
  10. i just tried the math game today, and am really digging it.
  11. Pretty obvious the entire NFL wants Rick Bates. Bates and the 25th pick for a top-5 pick? Anyone? Anyone?
  12. Maybe Gilmore could come back and “prove” he can tackle, not take plays off, not blame others, stop holding every play, avoid missing numerous games with injury, and be a good teammate.
  13. Just wait for the dramatic zoom in on Antonio Brown’s face!
  14. I have a family member that treats people with aphasia. I don’t know how bad Bruce Willis has it, but it can be treated and improved through therapy, and so he may not have to give up acting altogether.
  15. Agreed. Wouldn’t have negated the score. Plus, we scored after that. Can’t really get worked up about it. the one missed call I was mildly irked at was the illegal shift on the chiefs GW TD. But the way they were moving the ball, they were going to score a TD on that drive no matter what.
  16. he is 7 years old and came up with the idea to google: “what is the best word in wordle?” and “adieu” popped up! The other best words that popped up were “about” and “sweet.”
  17. My daughter loves “radio.” My son goes with “adieu.” My wife likes “stare.” I really like “young.”
  18. FYI, this is what I read: “Rock, who made the 2009 documentary Good Hair about the wonders of African American hairstyles, didn't know Jada suffers from the hair loss condition alopecia, his friend told the outlet. His joke prior to Smith storming the stage was that Jada, who has been shaving her head since 2021, could star in a G.I. Jane sequel. The source said that Rock "doesn't have a mean bone in his body," and wasn't trying to humiliate Jada. Further, he was "shaken and bewildered" by Smith storming the stage.” https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/will-smith-chris-rock-made-up-after-oscars-fight-claims-diddy-145640005.html
  19. Ha— thanks! my little quip was meant to be a dig at how movies are now being released in so many different ways and on so many different platforms. would you think Chris rock is in the wrong here if he didn’t know about her alopecia? From what I have read, he didn’t know about it.
  20. i have had a really good sweet potato waffle fry— it kills the regular sweet potato fry!
  21. Frank A leaving would be a big mistake, IMO. Got 14 minutes per game last year— likely going to go up this year. He can get more meaningful minutes elsewhere? (In my dreams, I envisioned being able to put both Jesse and Frank on the floor next year at times).
  22. i would seriously love to know who made the call on this— Johnson, Daboll? They had to think Bates was a total bottom feeder to not start him during that mid-season stretch when the entire interior oline was getting blown up every week.
  23. i guarantee that this will be, to date, the most memed incident in all of history.
