Deshaun Watson settles 20 of 24 cases
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Dave in Avon Lake now's topic in Off the Wall
My prediction is 1-year suspension reduced to like 12 games. Browns may actually come out of this okay. -
1) Re flopping, it is getting so absurd. Guys are running about 20 feet away from the action and will just stop, so the other guy can plow them over And they can get an offensive foul. Or guys setting a screen will just flail and fall to the ground. There is always a mess of bodies all over the court. These players and refs should be embarrassed. It is not normal basketball. It reminds me of how Harden’s leg-kick 3’s became a thing. Totally unnatural basketball move. 2) Don’t get me wrong about Tatum. He does a lot well— just a gorgeous shooting stroke and very good and smooth finisher. Maybe if he has a really good 1B super star scorer next to him, he wouldn’t press so much. But I noticed this even in the earlier rounds— when they are down a little and it is late in the game, his decision making goes in the toilet; tries to do too much. 3) udoka did a heck of a job. I thought prior to this series that they would be lucky to win 1 game. They could have easily won this series, if things broke a little differently in game 5.

Just those close-up shots of the Celtics fans yesterday…. What an obnoxious and gross fan base. Glad they lost. Re the series as a whole, loved seeing Steph and I love his game. But I thought both teams were just flopping way too much constantly, and the refs conversely would let a lot of physical action go. I also don’t understand how anyone could like Tatum. The guy just presses way too much at the worst times, and causes the offense to go Into the toilet. Maybe he will get better with more experience. But for all his talent, he is also very self-destructive on the offensive side.

Josh Allen is Rob Johnson's doppelgänger
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
haha— I still love RJ! At one time, I owned an RJ jersey and three RJ shirts. I actually still might have all that stuff in the attic. -

That one highlight of RJ diving for the pile-on brings back some good memories. That was a huge road win at KC. And that was such a tough and gutsy play. It really felt that RJ’s and the Bills’ fortunes were going to change with that win. (And then they dropped like 4 in a row and missed the playoffs). -
Have we given up on Isaiah Hodgins?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
When drafted, I was more excited about him than Gabe Davis. Thought he had more big-catch potential. But injuries, lack of PT, and what seems like lack of development has probably done him in. I am guessing another year on the PS, if that. -
Tyreek Hill says Tua is more accurate than Mahomes
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is not wrong. It is a lot easier to be accurate when you throw the ball 3 yards through the air. -

before these incidents broke, Watson was regarded as very much a solid team citizen. I believe he won all sorts of awards for community service. I don’t think anyone saw this coming before it happened. But there is no excuse for the Browns (or the other teams in the sweepstakes), because they knew about it and still traded for him.

Dude always was totally befuddled on the sideline. i still remember a browns/Steelers game, where the browns were called for 3 penalties on one play. The look of sheer confusion and bewilderment on his face was hilarious.

Weird move. Also, news to Me that Austin is still in the league. A top-10 pick in one of the worst draft classes in recent memory.

What position concerns you the most?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can see why you say that. But Brown looked great for a raw rookie last year. He had one really bad game, but otherwise ranged from serviceable to very good. And Bates also looked good in his limited chances. I think you give both those guys a full year as starters, and there’s bound to be some improvement. To me, CB is a much more pressing concern. Lot to ask of a barely recovered White and a rookie Elam to be dropped into the starting lineup given what our schedule looks like the first 6 weeks. -
i would love to see a non-standard PED response, like: “oh, dang. Got me. See y’all in 6 weeks!”

Ryan Fitzpatrick calls it a career
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forgot about that play— absolutely epic. Really defines his career too. -
For any self-respecting Bills fan, that hit is very important to pull up on YouTube and watch every few months.

Capitol One The Match (Allen Tattoo)
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to TheNorwoodStrangler's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, you’re right. I think I was mostly referring to his driver— he has been a mess off the tee with that. But his irons and short game have been pretty good. Mahomes really doing a nice job with his short game too, esp putting. I will say that it is interesting to see his chipping— he is really wristy, but it seems to work. -

Golf can humble even these great athletes. JA looking like a mess out there— I have been there! -
Allen tied for 5th lowest checkdown rate in NFL
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Re Tua, I bet they define a check down as a pass less than x yards to a RB, or at least as the second read. Tua was throwing 3-yard lasers to his receivers as his first read. -
good points. Can’t really realistically simulate or practice a crisis situation like this.
