OT: Belichick says that Mac's improvement is "dramatic"
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is great news. The more they stick with him, the less they are a threat. I expect Mac to get better, but is his ceiling anything more than a prime Matt Schaub or prime Chad Pennington? -
Called today, and got it for free. No haggling. I think this is 3 out of the last 4 years of getting it totally free. going to miss DTV!

beane said “cracked some ribs.”

if you just look at his fumbles, it actually understates how bad he has been. He misplays a ton of balls too, which had led to near “touches” and muffs. It’s less of a fumbling issue with him, and more of a decision making problem.

maybe some pseudo-media connections? Seems like Cover One was represented, and so I wonder if some of these podcasts and local website writers had some reserved tickets?

I don’t have all the rules in front of me, but I doubt that Austin is PS eligible. I think he has too many accrued seasons.

i remember going to the Bills/Steelers joint TC practices a few years ago. It was so disorienting watching all the different groups at the same time. I always wondered how if you streamed any of it, whether anyone would even know what is going on half the time.

Dont worry. Just download the app, wait for about 12,000 people to go through, and then wait for the special offer!

I refuse to play such a dangerous jinx game. You guys pretty much have learned nothing from the last 30 years of bad juju. -
Same here. I feel guilty sometimes, but I actually steer my kids away from playing youth sports. My elementary school boys play basketball, but nothing else. I don’t really have the time to chauffeur them all around or kill our evenings and summers on youth sports. I figure they can mess around playing in gym, neighborhood sorts of games, and then if they really get into something later on, can see about getting them involved in a reasonable way. maybe this is old fashioned, but when I was kid, I didn’t do all these organized sports. I played pickup bball, pickup football, tennis in the park, backyard baseball. I did little league for a few years when older and some rec bball in middle school. i just don’t get the travel league youth sports starting from age 6. Seems like a waste of time.

He isn’t getting the full 230 guaranteed? Sucker!

I agree that he plodded forward most of the time. I don’t think that made Emmett “special.” He was good and running downhill and through open holes. He was just a solid back, in my book. Not special in any way. Re those 90s backs, I would take Sanders, Thurman, Allen, Faulk, T Davis, and Bettis all over Emmitt.

40-year-old Jason Peters interested in joining a playoff team

I think people forget that play. That was really JP’s coming out party. -

well said. You hit the nail on the head. It was like David landing a mortal first blow on Goliath’s forehead. That HR was everything. -
Former Bill Charles Johnson Dies at 50
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall
RIP. Totally forgot that he played for the Bills. Donahoe did bring in a few former Steelers on the tail end of their careers (CJ, Gildon). He had some solid years for the Steelers with Kordell and Yancey Thigpen as the other WR. -
Bills ranked dead last in YAC last season.

This is going to change this year, with a cook, Shakir, and Lil Dirty probably getting more involved in the passing game. Anytime I watch the chargers, I am always amazed at how often a little 1-yard dump dump down by Herbert to Ekler is an easy 8-10 yards every time. It would be great to get those easy yards all the time. -

we have now officially exhausted all of our Bobby Brown song references. -
Most dramatic sports moment you saw?

i remember this game well! In the late 90s, I would probably watch 90% of the Mets regular season games. in terms of dramatic moments involving the Mets, this one has to be number 1 for me. In 2000, Mets score 10 Runs in the 8th to comeback and beat the Braves. I remember watching this in the hospital (was there for a minor procedure). Totally improbable comeback. -

it was like out of a movie, like The Natural. Gibson couldn’t walk and it was clear all day that he wouldn’t be available to play. He then comes in against the best closer of all time (who never gave up home runs), and hit the GW HR! Even though that was Game 1, I still contend that it totally changed the entire series. Momentum totally shifted. -

My “in person,” not on TV moment, May have been the Flutie bootleg against Jax. I totally forgot until now, but it was on 4th down. -

Most dramatic sports moment you saw?

This was an epic match— I remember watching it too. in terms of other tennis drama, I remember watching Jimmy Connors’ run at the US Open in I think 1991. -
I was texting with some buddies about Kirk Gibson’s game-winning home run in GW 1 of the 1988 World Series. It then dawned on me that that may have been the single most dramatic sports moment I ever saw. A close second is probably Christian Laittener in 1992 at the buzzer over Kentucky. How about all of you? What’s the most “dramatic” sports moment you saw? Edit: can be either live or on TV.
