  1. I think the timing is more of an indictment on Haack. Seems like the team would be fine just grabbing a guy off the street over Haack, if necessary.
  2. Git r done, buddy!! (I am not sure what there is get done, though).
  3. Nah— not necessarily saying Blackshear is the next Eckler. I just don’t know. But RB is such a weird position where these diamonds in the rough can easily be found. Just wish that sometimes these teams (not just the Bills) trust their eyes at the RB position, and not just go with the higher drafted guys. But we all know how this ends for Blackshear. Taiwan is not going anywhere.
  4. Don’t forget that Austin Ekeler was an undrafted free agent. He only got a chance because Melvin Gordon held out. Sometimes you have to roll the dice on these late-round and undrafted RBs.
  5. Also, the Bills traded Cody Ford. Thought I would let you guys know this breaking news. 😁
  6. Sometimes the young see things most clearly!
  7. I agree. It makes no sense. You can only get 11 guys on the field at a given time— isn’t that a natural way to protect the value of the product?
  8. Been on here since 1998 (As a “guest” for the first four years, until y’all made me register). WHatever happened to that one guy who decided one day to just become a Steelers fan to improve his quality of life?!
  9. Cook has looked pretty good. The only guy who has looked better is future hall of famer Raheem Blackshear.
  10. I think part of the problem with the oline in the past had to do with scheme— specifically, the RPOs we would run. Guys like Ford should not be running RPO’s. They need to just go out and blast some people. With those RPOs, the linemen almost have to block in a very tentative manner.
  11. i agree that the league has changed, but in a way that has actually made top-end RB value even more worthless. There really are no more premium running backs, outside of like two guys. And everything is really a time share. That’s what makes it frustrating when teams still won’t give these undrafted guys a chance. Odds are— if actually given a chance— Blackshear will outproduce Devin. But we will never know.
  12. there is always a stud preseason RB that we never give a chance to. I would even go back to Lionel Gates, who was our 7th rounder in 2005 and lit it up in preseason. there is a serious bias in the NFL Against late-round RBs. And yet so many late rounder or undrafted guys— when actually given the chance— succeed in the NFL (Priest Holmes, Arian Foster, Willie Parker, Fred Jackson, Terrell Davis, etc.)
  13. Well, it’s all relative. All three are great in the sense that they can all meaningfully contribute to the DL rotation.
  14. would be really painful to lose Bryant, ankou, or love to the giants. Those guys are all really great.
  15. "You get six touchdowns on six drives, obviously nobody did good. So we have to evaluate the group as a whole. We have to tackle better. We have to hold the point better. Everything," Hackett said. "Obviously, our defense didn't play good enough. The offense didn't play good enough, especially in the beginning. But that's why we do this."
  16. I don’t mind this if the market dictates it. But this is all the more reason that they need to really open up training camp to the masses. That’s really the way you can get the whole family to enjoy the team. Having the limited tickets to camp and the failure or the app still really irks me.
  17. the paint colors are way too dated. They need to re-paint the entire interior. It looks like Trading Spaces circa 2001.
  18. I also was once worried about Mike White.
  19. I saw this. I don’t own any pets, and yet somehow the bots at twitter have discovered that I love dog and cat videos, because that’s pretty much all I watch on twitter.
  20. i know they switched Hart to guard, but I agree: I never want to see him ever again. It’s amazing how he always sneaks back onto the roster.
  21. especially if Bobby hart is out there in front of him.
  22. Benford can also be the future at safety with his ball skills and size. I think they should look at working him in there.
  23. When this thing was heading to the initial hearing, I predicted 12 games. This was a good deal for Watson. But if he truly is a serial predator, this won’t be the last we hear from him.
  24. Never understood the benefit of a guy whose only talent is to set the edge.
  25. Well, I hope you are right! But I see the colts as having an elite o-line and the best running back in the NFL. Terrific receiving options in Pittman, Allie-Cox, and Hines; very underutilized last year due to wentz. And Ryan will be great in that offense, esp since he will be protected and they will remain run first. On D, they just play fast and physical at every level, and got better in an already great secondary. They also have been an opportunistic D— even in the pre-season game against us a week ago, they were doing the same stuff (tipped picks, etc.). My only hope is that they take a step back on D due to losing Eberflus to the Bears.
