  1. except they always seem to show up and win against good teams. Very weird team.
  2. there used to be one many years ago. Not sure it still exists.
  3. there was a recent study that opined that 40% of people with Covid were totally asymptomatic.
  4. Agreed. I am really looking forward to seeing this bengals team. Again, maybe it is sour grapes from last year, but I just have this gut feeling that they will regress even with the new oline.
  5. Agreed. Any defense that can pressure with 4 is always going to be tough. The Steelers are like that. the ravens will be tough because they blitz a lot but have the corners to play really physical and tight man coverage. I do think all these high shell defenses will soon fade back into oblivion. There is no way they can stop the potent offenses of today so long as the QB is patient.
  6. I actually think the road team is going to win most of these games today. I also am looking for a major regression from the bengals and the Steelers being a sneaky winner today.
  7. i am the same in terms of numerous close contacts, and not testing positive for a long time. I had my kids—who were positive— breathing into my face and sharing food with me. My wife had it too. My co-workers too. Yet still negative! It was sort of a bit of a relief when I got my first totally unambiguous positive test in early July with symptoms. I was like, “okay, finally I know for sure i have had it!”
  8. You have had it, but probably just didn’t know. At this point, unless you are in a bubble, statistically you almost had to have it. The recent CDC stats re kids and Covid pretty much re-affirmed this— in many states, over 90% of kids have it, even though the reported data was much lower. https://www.inquirer.com/health/coronavirus/covid-kids-test-positive-cdc-at-home-20220819.html?outputType=amp
  9. They need to start mixing in Benford at safety, as he could be the future there. The dude is built to play safety. Has the size and tackling skills for it, as well as the zone and ball skills.
  10. Agreed. I was actually surprised that Von was in there in the 4th quarter. They need to limit his snaps to the bare minimum. We need him in January.
  11. i was out in Monanta a few years ago and was going to catch the 2020 Bills/Rams regular season game on my tablet with Sunday ticket. It was blacked out, and I looked at the TV coverage map, and it seems like Montana and Wyoming now get all the bills games as their “local” games. That is now officially Bills country! (PS: I did find a workaround to watch that epic game!).
  12. it is like winning like this is such an unfamiliar feeling to us fans that people just go back to the usual bag of negative posts. But even the positive threads on here are so whacky; I think the winning has brought a lot of “different” posters out of the woodwork. 😃
  13. what is weird is that I have found there have been more absurd threads in the last 24 hours after this win than after a bad loss. Very weird.
  14. I think they would have slid Crowder to the outside. I actually don’t see Shakir being active ever if they activate both crowder and McKenzie. Especially after that fumble last night, they aren’t going to be activating only Cook as the second RB.
  15. At the moment Devin Singletary had that 12-yard run on their opening second half drive, I was wiggling all around during the run, and accidentally kicked my sparkling water can onto the ground. The water poured out, like a fountain of good luck. I truly believe that was the turning point of the entire game.
  16. you should reserve judgment on this until the end of this year— because I am predicting Oliver will be a pro bowler and all-pro with Miller now on his side.
  17. It seemed like the defense was a little gassed. But I see no issue with playing to the whistle, if those guys on the other team are out trying to score. That said, the “McD special” of taking a defensive timeout always seems to backfire— the other offense always seems to convert or make a play after the timeout!
  18. Some were read options where he kept it. The problem is that he always keeps it on those. I have never seen him hand the ball off on the rear option runs. Never.
  19. had the same reaction when I saw his number, and thought he was a linebacker. Even on that return, he looked smooth— like Jerry’s return a few years ago. Every time he plays, the guy makes plays.
  20. He is a dope. There is a market and very easy to slot him in. The market obviously Does not include Watson, who is an outlier and no other team would ever pay a fully guaranteed contract like that. just get the same deal As Kyler Murray and move on.
  21. not that you asked, but I would recommend the cover one post-game show.
  22. Same. I am thrilled that we seem to have hit on Benford. He was my favorite pick when we drafted him. in an ideal world, Elam slides into corner and Benford could even become the next great all-pro safety for this team.
  23. I would be more concerned if those turnovers were due to scheme issues or mental errors. But Three of them were basically unforced fumbles— something that is easily cleaned up. The other was maybe a tad of a late throw by a QB who played a nearly flawless game.
  24. was going to post something similar. What a refreshingly cleanly called game. No PI calls, no offensive hold calls, no weak personal foul/hits on the QB. probably one of the best officiated games I have seen.
