New England really struggles down in Miami (relatively speaking). I think it is probably a 50/50 game. I also think Tua is a much better version of Mac Jones. Will be fun to see those two dinker dunkers battle it out!

Today was the first time I have ever seen Allen so quick and Patient on the checkdowns. All those dump downs were getting us 8-10 yards. It forced BB to abandon that high 2 safety shell. I have never really seen us drive a team out of that defense. It helped that Devin isn’t also just falling down when he catches the ball. He turned those into solid 8-10 yard gains. Even Gillian turned one into 10 yards.

There is nothing Bellichick can do against Allen. Based on my untrained eye, they tried just about everything today (high 2 shell, man, cover 4, blitzing, rushing 2 guys). Nothing worked. This isn’t EJ Manual out there, getting befuddled with the creeping defenders. BB can’t trick Allen.

No offense to all You good posters, but none of the above explanations make any sense. Bates doesn’t miraculously make the other guys better. Cody Ford has been playing decently lately. There is more too what happened today. Even when Brown was at LT today, they were looking great at every position. A few weeks ago Darryl Williams didn’t even move at the snap— now he is playing great at both guard and tackle? Morse has been getting blown off the ball at the snap, and suddenly held his own today. i have no idea what happened, except all 5 guys played out of their minds today.

i don’t think Ben is the problem. I didn’t see the game today, but I have seen a lot of Steelers games. He is playing okay. He has like 3200 yards and 19/7. Better than pro bowler Lamar Jackson! i think their main problem is their line and not enough playmakers. Their receivers are all possession guys, and Harris is mostly meh (in part because of the meh line). Just lots of mediocre skill players. Ben isn’t going to carry a team— but if you put him on the colts or a similar team with elite skill players or a elite line, he would look great.

we are going to need them both. These small slot receivers constantly get nicked up. Hope Cole is back soon, and we figure out how to use McKenzie.

it wasn’t just Bates. In fact, Ford has been playing okay the last few weeks. Williams and Dawkins have been really bad. Morse has been bad. Brown was awful last week. then, today, everyone was great. I really don’t understand what happened— but every single guy played amazingly today.

Agreed. i will give the pats credit though. Their run game is elite and they converted every 4th down. They have to play a perfect game on offense to hang with teams like Buff, KC, and the other elite passing teams, which they pretty much did today. A few miscues by them on O, and it would have been far worse.

If we can be peaking at the right time, watch out!

Agreed. Then the pats were forced out of their cover 2 and into man, where McKenzie ate them up.

That draw there was so predictable. Always run if you go into the 2 minute warning. Bills thankfully saw it from a mile away!
