the bills special teams just has to be able to NOT lose the game. Can’t have Blocked punts, fumbled returns, bad ST penalties, missed PATs. Just play average to below average, not terrible.

Congrats Kyle Williams, new DL coach of the LSU Tigers

I think it was Tom Krumrie who called him a “rolling ball of butcher knives.” -

wondering what’s going on with ingram now? I think we could use him out there, especially on ST and for depth. He was great as a gunner last week. -

i am a big Tomlin fan. He kind of gets a little of a bum rap in the sense that he hasn’t had a great QB for a long time going into the playoffs. Tough to win without one. -

I would bet Zay is out through the AFC playoffs. And I think the Steelers have a 50/50 chance of winning this game. -

GB has been my SB sleeper all year. Love has to be healthy though. -
Bills red zone efficiency— 72%

I think we will be pleasantly surprised by this defense in the playoffs. Gut feeling. Re-watching highlights from some of the earlier season games, and I have faith they have it in them. -

One of the reasons for the Bills’ success this year has been their amazing efficiency in the red zone. About 72%!! we sort of take it for granted, but they have run the ball very effectively near the goal line and have schemed open some other very nice plays (as well Josh’s usual magic). https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct

Eagles Poach Lewis Cine off Practice Squad
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Am I right that it was up to Cine? He could have opted to stay with the Bills as a PS player rather than go to eagles? if so, I suspect he may have done this for the money more than anything. -

That Denver game (in particular, the blocked FG return) was the defining moment in the Bills franchise’s history, I would argue. -

this is Joe Klopenstein-esque!

yeah, how can two guys in the route get jammed so badly that they fall down? That’s bad. edit: to be fair to Knox, that probably should have been illegal contact given where it was down the field.

i don’t know. I really don’t want a first time playcaller for an OC. -

Didn’t realize this, but Davis Webb is the QB Coach in Denver. Looks like he is getting credit for developing Bo Nix, and may be a HC candidate down the road. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/no-davis-webb-isnt-a-head-coaching-candidate-yet -

agree. Going to be like a 23-20 game. -
At first, I thought I had heard of him. Then I realized the person I had heard of is Nick Bonino, who is an NHL player (and was a key part of the HBK line for the Penguins when they won the cup in 2016 and 2017).

Have you ever quit following a sports team?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
i grew up in Rochester, and was a paper boy for the D&C. They had this newspaper boy day, where all the kids got to run the bases at Silver Stadium and get autographs. During one of those days, I got an autograph of this young unknown player named Curt Schilling! maybe this was just my experience, but growing up in Rochester when I did (80s), no one really followed the sabres. You’d go to a few amerks games, but that’s about it. -
this is a fascinating stat. Also probably shows you how much more open the receivers get, with Lamar near the “top.” Interesting that Mahomes is also with him in terms of lowest percentages of being perfectly covered, which I think suggests that KC has better receiving talent than people think (and/or Reid schemes them open a lot).

Big Ben never defeated Brady. It’s the only reason he made it those super bowls. as long as you have a Mahomes or Brady in the way, every other team is going to have to scrape by to maybe get a one off SB appearance. Otherwise, it will be the chiefs there most every year. That’s just the reality of having a player like a Mahomes or Brady to deal with. -
was just coming on here to post the same thing!!

Finally, we have someone here with some sense who is thinking ahead. The old post-gift curse is quite a common jinx. Thankfully, there is a reverse. there are two main ways to reverse it: 1) go back to canton, and leave the mug there. Do not break it. Simply leaving the mug on the grounds of the HOF will do the trick. This is probably inconvenient, but very effective. 2) less effective, you must not use the mug for its intended purpose (drinking), and you must keep it in a closed drawer during games. It is acceptable to bring it out on non-game days, but not for its intended purpose (eg, use as a pencil cup holder). keep us posted!
