  1. But with a $20M base salary!!! It’s just an insane contract for what we know his production is going to be (50ish catches; 700ish yards).
  2. This is so dumb. Cooper is not that good, especially at that contract. Browns would be better off using a first round pick on a receiver.
  3. I started a thread on this a few months ago, but these networks really need to reimagine what makes a good sport announcer. these two guys are “known”— but that’s it. Just boring and deadbeat guys.
  4. hmm— this must be it. The packers fans’ see “Hyde” pop up on the ticker and think it is Micah. Thanks.
  5. This is a total rumor here, but my buddy who is a packers fan said his buddy, who is a Wisconsin reporter, heard that the Bills were releasing Micah Hyde. Sounded implausible to me— but any chance that Hyde’s cap hit would make him a surprise release candidate?
  6. Same— we called it “scumming.” I always heard about a dead horse in the canal. there was always some kid saying that he knew a guy who knew a guy who saw a dead horse in the canal. I didn’t realize it was a local legend!
  7. i do find it weird/red flag that a guy that is elite as he is keeps getting traded. And to get moved for only a second round pick?
  8. if ever there were a proper use of the laughing emoji, it is now.
  9. So frightening! You are right— all the freak dangerous stuff that we all survived as kids!
  10. heck, yeah! In the late 80s/early 90s, in rochester, we would jump off some of the bridges, old locks, and walls into the canal in our sneakers. We called it “scumming.” The cops were always looking out for kids scumming, so you had to do it on the down low. I was never as daring as my friends, and would mostly do it off lower cement walls, not bridges or locks (still probably 30 feet high). A buddy of mine also had a rope on a tree And we would swing out over the canal and jump in. in hindsight, it was pretty dangerous, given all the wood, debris, and other junk floating around there.
  11. To be fair, when you have a consistently winning team, standards are higher and so is disappointment. Fans get fat and happy.
  12. i feel bad for this poor buddy of his that you accosted. “Show me the text evidence— now!”
  13. Trubisky in Pittsburgh is an ideal fit. I don’t get why he would go to NYG, where I think Jones would still be the presumptive starter.
  14. this is personally my favorite of the three threads. But I am hoping the next one today might have some potential.
  15. i never cared for Cooper in oakland (too inconsistent), but then he had a really good first two years with Dallas and so I figured I was proven wrong. But I was right, especially with his contract value.
  16. This thread is pretty dumb, for all intensive purposes.
  17. Right now, the odds favor the team that wins the coin toss. They need to devise a system where the odds won’t be stacked against one team based on pure chance. i think the Bills’ likely proposal of just playing another 5 or 10-minute quarter seems like it will even the odds.
  18. Wish we could have stolen that win. They played very well, and Cole had a historic night— wish we had won for him.
  19. Nice! No rush on Haack— let him take 4 steps.
  20. i agree that their other items are overlooked. Great chicken and fish sandwiches. They actually have some good sides and apps, like mozz sticks and potato cakes. I had a buddy who used to swear by their regular deli sandwiches and subs (not sure they make them anymore).
  21. I would argue that Arby’s horsey and Arby’s sauces are the best fast food condiments around. (Yes, I rank them above chic-fil-a sauces).
