  1. Haha. I just can’t call it “Kroger.” Same with “Aldi”— I always have to add an S. I don’t care what the proper name is; it just feels wrong without an S.
  2. I agree with this. My post was in response to the OP suggesting having a free agent as the WR1a. To me, that is not financially possible. Your WR1a has to be on a rookie contract to make it work.
  3. it is really tough to know the mindset of an eliminated team, for sure. by the way, in your unlikely scenario, I am not writing off the broncos. They will need some good luck and Wilson to show up, but sometimes these teams play really hard for their interim coaches.
  4. I feel like I hear this being advertised daily. Will have to check it out. Thanks!
  5. Good point about rooting for the Dolphins this week. If they are out, the Patriots will totally fold in that last game.
  6. Perfectly said. Give Basham some time. Also, it’s tough to flash consistently with the rotation and depth we have on the D-line.
  7. I don’t count Saban because he was never able to have success at the NFL level. He is a great college recruiter; but he never proved himself to be a good coach in the NFL. I think the reality is that the Patriot Way cannot be replicated.
  8. Amazing how only McDaniels can take a QB that just threw for 4800 yards last year and run him into the ground. The Patriot Way. Good luck with Stidman!
  9. I don’t care what Boyd says, he will always be a Buffalo hero for the Dalton/Boyd TD to break the playoff drought.
  10. It is actually financially impossible to do this in today’s NFL. If you look at the teams with an elite QB and two #1 WR’s, two of the three players in that trio are on rookie deals (cincy, Miami, Philly). The Chiefs realized this and that’s why they jettisoned Hill and kept Kelce as their number 1. I think the chiefs model is the right one— pay your franchise QB and number 1, and then fill in the rest with complimentary high-pick rookies and modest short-term free agents. If you don’t do that, you won’t have enough money to field a good line or good defense.
  11. I have been asking the same thing. Total radio silence.
  12. Agreed; getting a serviceable starting CB in the 7th round is highway robbery.
  13. I did forget about Bridgewater. In that last season with Fangio, the Broncos played better with him and played hard right to the end and did some good things, but it wasn’t enough. Re the in-game mismanagement, I think that is par for the course for most NFL coaches, IMO.
  14. Welp, McDaniels will be joining Patricia and Judge soon enough back home. I can’t believe how these former pats assistants all have failed spectacularly. I don’t think Bellichick has a single successful assistant from his coaching tree (I don’t count Vrabel, who never coached under him).
  15. They literally just had the exact same type of coach in Fangio— who did an excellent job. They had no QB, and that did him in. But i would argue that had they kept Fangio and given him even a serviceable QB (like a Mayfield or Trubisky), that was a playoff team. Instead, he got Drew Lock for three years!
  16. I hope so. But I think they will need some good live reps (not zoom reps) this week. Just hope the weather cooperates here.
  17. Are these guys even practicing this week? Sounds like no one can move in Buffalo still.
  18. Was just thinking back to the Bengals/Bills games in the past 20 years— those were absolute dog games. Times sure have changed!
  19. The one thing we really need to clean up is our special teams. Two straight abysmal games in a row. I would like to see us just kick some touchbacks (and Not try to cover), and eliminate the penalties on the returns.
  20. There is that great quote from Benjamin Disraeli— which applies here: “there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.”
  21. If weather cooperates, this will be an absolute shoot out. Expect both QBs to be totally dialed in.
  22. I enjoy his fiery spirit, and wish him well for many years as the QB of the Patriots, under the guidance of Matt Patricia and Joe Judge.
  23. I should Copy and paste the text thread I had with my Broncos fan buddy when they hired Hackett. It started basically with me saying: “hackett, is by far, one of the worst offensive coaches in bills history.”
  24. Missed the second half. What happened?
