  1. people have been trying to get rid of McKenzie for years, and he always beats out the competition. That’s what I love about him.
  2. Taking a kicker and two punters In the 4th round!? The draft has really changed.
  3. a lot of fans still have a drought mentality. Draft operates slightly differently when you are in our current position.
  4. I have to think any receiver they draft now is going to be a PS type player. if they are seriously worried about depth, we just need to sign a vet. Even Manny Sanders could be an option.
  5. Per Beane, sounds like they liked his smarts, instinct, and versatility. They think he can play inside and outside. like other speculated, they trust this Baylor coach, who is a straight shooter and said Bernard is outstanding.
  6. I am not saying that Marino or cover 1 is wrong (or right) on the pick. My comment was more general— I don’t care for Marino generally, at least compared to the cover 1 guys. The cover 1 analysis is just generally more deep and data and film driven.
  7. Agreed. Milano seems bigger than he is, and he plays bigger. But he is only 220. i think this Bernard is going to be similar.
  8. They must be thinking he is a Milano clone. He is almost the exact same size— sort of your converted safety type.
  9. totally agree. There is a lot better bills’ analysis out there.
  10. Glad we didn’t end up signing McKissick after all. That dude would have have been cut.
  11. lot of vet wideouts out there on the market we can get for depth still.
  12. Kind of better than reaching on a receiver. This is the kind of “receiver” we needed— hopefully can finally have a great screen and check down game. Herbert throws 2-yard dump offs to Ekler who gets like 12 yards out of them. Hoping Cook will be the same kind of weapon.
  13. Looking for the next three Tom Brady’s! I am loving it!
  14. there is that school of thought that you just draft QBs and see who sticks. But I don’t think any team has tried it.
  15. amazingly, Willis will be there when the Steelers draft in the second. They could take both Pickett and Willis if they wanted!
  16. it is a scheme thing with cockrell. He is a very serviceable zone corner. Can’t really Play man well. He has had a solid 8-plus year NFL career.
  17. it is super dumb. if the Bills stood pat, there was a chance Elam would be gone and they would have had to have reached on a player with a second round grade. I would rather them hedging their risk with a 4th round pick than reach for a guy they probably could get in the second round.
  18. For some reason, the lone guy I equate with the 4th round is Tim Euhus.
  19. interesting. I used to feel the same way about Texas players under Mac Brown. Super soft and coddled— one of the reasons I didn’t like our infamous Mike Williams pick. thanks for reminding me that I am getting old!
  20. I just have to say that the deal of the night was the ravens sending Hollywood brown to the cards for a first round pick. I couldn’t imagine giving up a 3rd or 4th round pick for him. Just nuts.
  21. Good call. Lito was great. I actually always thought Florida was known for producing very good DB’s.
  22. interesting. Any reason for that? by the way, I think joe Haden graduated from Florida.
  23. this is a total joke. I suspect we are going to see the WR market crash the same way we saw the RB crash a few years ago.
  24. Huh? How did the bills get an extra first round pick?
