I am pretty sure Buffalo is big enough and has enough hotel capacity that it can host 90% of the events that Indy does, including an AFCCG and an NCAA volleyball tournament. Indianapolis is also really not that big of a city. I used to live out that way and they would count the population based on a much wider geographical region.

I think the jets/fins game couod be close, but Flacco is going to kill the jets. I think Miami wins and we end up playing them in the WC.

There is a chance that the first round of the Playoffs will Be week 18 rematches— NE/Buff and Balt/Cin. Very weird.

BTW, that’s why you build an indoor stadium. Indy hosts a boatload of events at Lucas Oil Field. (okay— I am done complaining about our stadium plans).

Sort of what I expected against UVA. I absolutely hate playing them. They hand check you to the death and it just becomes a sloppy mess of a game. Nice to see Cuse fight back and make it a game.

We ran that same double fake reverse in college intramurals. It also resulted in a fumble (and two guys crashing into each other).

Plus, Division opponent games can be wonky. If I am the chiefs, I don’t want any part of the chargers.

I will console myself with the fact that the chiefs will probably get the chargers in the second round— the one team that I wanted to avoid.

I have changed my tune on the 1 seed. It is looking like the chargers are locked into the 5 seed. So that probably means the 1 seed gets them in the divisional round. I would rather play the 3/4 winner (bengals or likely ravens).

an “elite run defender” is exactly the same type of nonsense that is applied to Sammy— who was considered elite at “drawing coverage away from other receivers.” Those are just ways to make excuses for lack of actual production. Clowney was the number 1 overall pick in the draft, and the numbers don’t lie. His production as a defensive end is putrid. Elite ends are expected to stop the run— that is just par for the course. But they are paid to sack the QB. Clowney is just a plain bad. And he apparently also has a bad attitude. There is a reason that no one wants to pay him money and no one ever wants to re-sign the guy. The one time a team Re-signed him (Browns), they clearly now have regretted it.

Nah. Clowney is basically the defense version of Sammy Watkins.

The Super Bowl is always played at a perfect weather location or indoor spot. Why not the same for the AFCCG?

i agree. I don’t understand how anyone can speculate as to cause, including the NFL docs. Let’s all hope it is something rare like commotio cordis, as the NFL docs have speculated. But it is driving me a little crazy that people are speculating on various causes and calling things “misinformation” already. I am just hoping it isn’t some undiagnosed heart defect or something that could be recurring.

I don’t know why, but I always have had a soft spot for NP and will root for him this week.
