  1. Full disclosure— I think with the exception of Dion Waiters, I thought every former Syracuse underclassman should have stayed! So I am a little biased. Good point Re his FT shooting and touch. I suspect JB doesn’t want him taking a bunch of 15-footers.
  2. really terrific game by him, including even passing and on D. I actually think today is a pretty good indicator of his potential, as it was one of the few times he wasn’t regularly doubled. He is not going to get double teamed in the pros. I still think though he could really benefit from staying and developing an outside shot, and maybe adding more beef to his frame.
  3. Given the weather too, this was the obvious gameplan. Look at what the bengals did— just very simple quick stuff and then guys made defenders miss with a move in the snow. I don’t get it, because the first few games of the year, we were all over the quick stuff. And then we added a Hines who is perfect for it also.
  4. I may wait on canceling DTV. I am hoping that YouTube has some deal with new subscribers involving Sunday ticket. Gonna wait and see.
  5. They gotta build a dome at Pebble Beach.
  6. You can both draft great players and “trust the process”— ie, draft those great players that are good guys that buy into the culture and don’t have a host of baggage or off field issues. I like how this team won’t go near the Tyreek Hills, Kareem Hunts, Frank Clark’s, and Joe Mixons of the world. I am not cheering for guys that beat their pregnant girlfriends. And those are the same guys that when they aren’t winning, they are causing locker room problems.
  7. “terrible golfer” is harsh and not accurate. He is a great golfer. Yeah, he is not a pro and hitting par or under on a professional course. But I am betting he is a super low handicap based on what I have seen. He wouldn’t even be allowed to play at these pro ams if he wasn’t a single handicapper. To each his own on golf. But I can say that it is an extraordinarily difficult sport, and that’s why these pro athletes love it. It is nearly impossible to truly master— always working to get better.
  8. Ruh roh. Good luck paying Burrow, chase, and Higgens. that’s why you need to hit on a WR early in the draft and then let them walk. FA prices on WR’s are too high.
  9. As someone who plays a lot of golf and gets a fair amount of elbow issues, golf is usually a lot harder on that lead left elbow. So, I approve.
  10. So, how was this?! I assume the Washington Generals won? 😃
  11. amazingly, the chiefs even looked really good with Henne back there.
  12. He was back at practice Wednesday. Not sure what is going on.
  13. Go watch highlights of Quintin Morris’s college games. He is better than anyone else we can get in the draft. Just gotta use him more!
  14. Wishing you well, Tom! Will always remember you for this great play!
  15. You interviewing for QB coach?
  16. Agree. Hurts that UNC and UVA losses were basically decided by charge calls too. That said, that was a charge by Edwards. any chance Edwards comes back? He can legit improve his draft stock if he does? Needs to develop an outside shot.
  17. Wish they could have pulled that out. Played UVA as well as they ever had on both sides of the ball. Just a bad charge on Edwards and then UVA hits an absurd contested shot over Hima, and that’s the game.
  18. Poor guy. Makes me thankful that Josh dodged a major bullet.
  19. Benny Williams looks like he is done at Syracuse.
  20. True. But you gotta admit that the atmospherics around this entire game stink for the refs. They had a material impact on the game— like their calls and non-calls caused the chiefs to win. So the calls and non-calls better have been mostly right.
  21. hahaha. I have never seen a team get hosed like this.
  22. I am still shaking my head over the one play where they let the entire thing run for a Cin stop, let the punt teams come out, and then the refs called a do-over for KC. On said do-over, they call a defensive hold for a first down for KC. I mean, can you write a better script?
  23. Chiefs also have Frank Clark and Chris jones, and were playing on a clean field. We had no Von, a gimpy Oliver, and 11 guys who looked like they were gingerly stepping on a wet sidewalk out there.
  24. I feel dirty watching that game. Can you imagine the stench of losing that game? A combination of over-officious refs and weird special teams plays.
  25. perfectly said. The ghost of “Coach” Joey Porter is lurking over there.
