Weird game. Philly dominating and yet this will probably be like 21-21 or 21-17 going into half.

Your classic KC dumb luck.

I think what you are seeing this time of year is 10% of the posters making 90% of the comments. That’s also how Twitter works. I would venture to guess that the vast majority of fans are happy with the team and season, and obviously wish some things could have gone differently. The negative nancies probably will mostly calm down once we get into the draft.

agree. I listen to only the Cover 1 episodes with Tomosett, Quinn, Prohaska, and the film session with Turner. The best ones are the Thursday game day previews with the opposing team’s podcaster. the other cover 1 hosts are really meh. Marino’s podcast is okay, but it suffers from him being the only host, and being on too much. Probably would be better if he did it twice per week, and had a co-host.

I was talking to an appliance repair guy not long ago. He said even the really nice appliances now aren’t going to last more than like 7 years or so. That’s also consistent with our experience. So, the options are to buy something cheaper— knowing you will have to replace it— or get the warranty. The problem with the warranty are the limitations on it and the claims process. After cycling through appliances, I have realized that the warranty isn’t a bad deal for something like a microwave (which will 100% die on you now by like year 6), or fridge. But otherwise we are just rolling the dice.

Congrats! That sounds like quite the accomplishment.

I would bet after this past winter, he was looking to be a permanent snow bird.

Commanders may not pick up Chase Young’s 5th year option
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
All good points. I just think in Young’s rookie season, we saw everything that justifies him being an elite pass rusher. I would give him a pass on the last two years due to injuries. And even if he busts, the risk isn’t that high— an extra year. If he returns to form though next year, the free agent price tag for an elite DE is super high. That said, I don’t follow WFT closely, and so can’t speak to his character or effort. -
How much does sports success & failure affect your life?

Spot on. I guess “drought” was the perfect word. We got thirstier and thirstier all the while. -

This would be super dumb of the Redskins to not pick up that 5th year. -

Amazingly, I think the drought years hardened my resolve and made me more invested and addicted to the team. I sometimes wonder if had we had more success whether I might be more apathetic as a fan. -
I just made my call to Directv to end our long term relationship
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Xwnyer's topic in Off the Wall
yeah, you could be right. I am going to call DTV here to see if I can squeeze them for a deal for a few months, and then see about switching over in the summer. -
Had to miss this one. For some reason, I no longer get ESPN-U. So they looked good?
-
I would feel better if they could pinpoint the cause a little more, but that may be impossible.

My gut instinct is that you all are switching too soon. YouTube may have a sweetener for Sunday ticket next summer— ie, sign up for YouTube and get discount for ticket. -
Favorite season of the Allen era?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
agreed. What is troubling though is I felt everyone beat the drum of returning to a shorter, quick release game plan the second half of the season, and yet they never did. I just don’t get it at all. -

that’s the first thing I noticed too. Our offense the second half of this past season just went into bizzaro world. -

i just found a little highlight clip on twitter from the game, and added to my post above. Be still, my heart! -

if that was the year when we played the Niners in Arizona, then I agree. I absolutely loved that win. Josh was so insanely dialed in. -
Josh Allen golf ball- Charity fundraiser
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to artmalibu's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just got some new pro viX’s for Christmas I am going to try out this summer. I have used a few here and there with great results, but never have really sprung for a dozen before. Excited to use them. (I usually would play with refurbished Calloway’s, which I have found to be hit and miss)… though I am a mid-high handicapper, so it is probably my own poor play more than any ball. -
I am actually not a big John Williams fan (just because a lot of his music blends together). But this is one of his best, and some of the slower aspects of the main theme are pretty beautiful.

Down year from Gabe, for sure. But you all forget some of the insanely difficult and huge catches he made this past year too. As I recall, he made some game-saving 3rd and 20 diving caches, and some really acrobatic and big play ones too (eg, both TDs in the Steelers game). Also, the loss of a true slot this year with the Crowder injury really shouldn’t be held against Gabe. There are things he can improve on, but he is a hard worker and has shown enough flashes to be our #2.

Saquon Barkley is Still a Media Favorite to the Bills
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to JackKemp's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am thinking he gets like $12m or $13m per year, and not going to get a lot of years on it (like 2-4 years). Consider too the market is going to be absolutely flooded with free agent running backs this year. -

Whoever gets him will get him at a pretty bargain deal. No one is paying for RBs anymore.
