  1. this is wise advice. I messed this up last year and decided to be “social” and enjoy the Steelers opener at a sports bar with friends. What a colossal mistake. So, I will be back to watching the game in near solitude, mostly standing and pacing, or on my knees, with my family looking alarmingly at me.
  2. I will be devil’s advocate on Graff. She had 22 grand slam singles wins. Serena has only 1 more, but Graff retired at 30 years old. She started getting injured a bit more, but I would argue that she probably could have taken a long break to get healthy and gotten possibly another few titles. Not saying Graff is #1, but there is a very strong argument for it.
  3. to be fair, those are defensible rankings. Steffi Graff was absolutely dominant for a long stretch.
  4. that is a great fast food burger. It was only a promotional burger. They brought it back to the menu by popular demand.
  5. Nice run for pegula! But just an absolute sloppy match. Both players looked pretty meh— tons of errors, no one holding their serve. Even playing poorly, she had a chance. Too bad that the critical point was a bad luck let winner for Switak.
  6. In the playoffs the last few years, I had to wear my heart rate monitor because I had never experienced such a high resting heart rate. I am super laid back and stress free in all things, except the Bills. I start stressing for days prior to any “big game” (and as my wife reminds me, I always say “every game is a big game.”)
  7. I have to think bellichick would be the best barometer of this. He has been fooling young QB’s for decades, and yet Allen surgically obliterated that D twice last year.
  8. I actually think dink and dunk is Matt Canada’s style of offense— lots of quick passing. Plus, their line remains awful, so they are almost going to have to rely on short passes. people ripped on Ben R losing it, but his line and coordinator didn’t really help him out. There was one game when they were coming from behind against the Colts in 2020 (and ended up winning), and Ben R called all his own plays, and was chucking it 40+ Yards down field.
  9. You all predicting a high scoring shootout are going to be stunned. I think the D is going to come to play. Bills D is going to be the best in the NFL (even without Tre), and both offenses probably won’t be clicking yet on all cylinders. I am predicting Bills 23 Rams 10.
  10. I can’t even think about this game. It is too nerve wracking. Why do I enjoy this again?
  11. I have never heard “Peter king” and “sound analysis” mentioned in the same sentence before! From the mind of Peter King: If I'm New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft, I have to say no to Bill Belichick now, hire Tom Donahoe to run the football side of business, and get on with my life. Because if I'm Bob Kraft, this is the thought process going through my mind today as the Jets stonewall my compensation offer for Belichick and refuse to budge from their demand of New England's first-round draft choice in April's draft: I am willing to give a man with a coaching record of 37-45 full authority over all my football operations by naming him coach and general manager. I am willing to pay him in excess of $3 million a year. And now I have to throw in my first-round pick? I'm already without my fourth-round pick this year, and I'm sure to lose a couple of valued players like Tedy Bruschi and Shawn Jefferson in free agency. Now I have to throw in the pick that could become Ron Dayne and may solve our dilemma at running back for the next five years? Maybe I wait a couple more days for the Jets to budge. Assuming they don't, I get on with my life. https://web.archive.org/web/20020208020725/http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com:80/inside_game/peter_king/news/2000/01/26/ten_things/
  12. I think she has a chance to win this. Lot of great women, but no one I would call dominant. I think she is in the mix.
  13. best I can guess re Williams is that teams see him as a possible post-week 1 guy, where the money isn’t guaranteed. I honestly wouldn’t mind having him back, though obviously not at tackle.
  14. If it were me, I would be like, “I like money, I have money, and now I really like golf.”
  15. I can’t believe he still even wants to play.
  16. Any time you guys are in western NY or down into Erie, PA, you should grab some zweigle’s or hoffman’s white hots at a wegman’s. Growing up in Rochester, you had your red hots and your white hots. The white hots have more of a clean, pork flavor. In terms of hot dogs, they are unique and really flavorful.
  17. My usual: 1/2 a glass of room temperature water (that likely won’t be drunk anyway).
  18. Oh wow. You have missed out on the greatest delicacy Rochester has to offer!! https://zweigles.com/this-is-everything-you-need-to-know-about-white-hots/
  19. don’t buy that. I was told the same by an internet provider several Months ago, and the guy was just flat wrong. It took some additional calls and maneuvering until I found the right people. All of these companies have retention people who will try to sweeten deals to prevent cancelation. I believe this whole “we no longer have a retention department” is a new scheme.
  20. Agree on both. These guys both have some potential. If there is an opportunity to play a bit more, now is the time to take the leap or else you miss your window. Hodgins window for us officially just expired. He will never get off the PS. I actually think both guys could stick on certain active rosters.
