  1. It seemed like the defense was a little gassed. But I see no issue with playing to the whistle, if those guys on the other team are out trying to score. That said, the “McD special” of taking a defensive timeout always seems to backfire— the other offense always seems to convert or make a play after the timeout!
  2. Some were read options where he kept it. The problem is that he always keeps it on those. I have never seen him hand the ball off on the rear option runs. Never.
  3. had the same reaction when I saw his number, and thought he was a linebacker. Even on that return, he looked smooth— like Jerry’s return a few years ago. Every time he plays, the guy makes plays.
  4. He is a dope. There is a market and very easy to slot him in. The market obviously Does not include Watson, who is an outlier and no other team would ever pay a fully guaranteed contract like that. just get the same deal As Kyler Murray and move on.
  5. not that you asked, but I would recommend the cover one post-game show.
  6. Same. I am thrilled that we seem to have hit on Benford. He was my favorite pick when we drafted him. in an ideal world, Elam slides into corner and Benford could even become the next great all-pro safety for this team.
  7. I would be more concerned if those turnovers were due to scheme issues or mental errors. But Three of them were basically unforced fumbles— something that is easily cleaned up. The other was maybe a tad of a late throw by a QB who played a nearly flawless game.
  8. was going to post something similar. What a refreshingly cleanly called game. No PI calls, no offensive hold calls, no weak personal foul/hits on the QB. probably one of the best officiated games I have seen.
  9. We are up 21 with 4 turnovers and an out of bounds kick? This has to be some weird record. Three sloppy turnovers.
  10. If that was a hold on Benford, then there would be holding on literally every play in the game. Can’t even believe McVay asked for it.
  11. Let’s not let our role players give this game away. How about Allen, DS, Stefon, and Davis handle the rock now.
  12. Rams play calling has always been really interesting to me. They will pound that ball endlessly, even for 1 yard gains, just to set up the playaction later in the game. It is amazing how committed they can be to the run.
  13. haha— I like your mental gymnastics to make a possible loss feel better!
  14. this is wise advice. I messed this up last year and decided to be “social” and enjoy the Steelers opener at a sports bar with friends. What a colossal mistake. So, I will be back to watching the game in near solitude, mostly standing and pacing, or on my knees, with my family looking alarmingly at me.
  15. I will be devil’s advocate on Graff. She had 22 grand slam singles wins. Serena has only 1 more, but Graff retired at 30 years old. She started getting injured a bit more, but I would argue that she probably could have taken a long break to get healthy and gotten possibly another few titles. Not saying Graff is #1, but there is a very strong argument for it.
  16. to be fair, those are defensible rankings. Steffi Graff was absolutely dominant for a long stretch.
  17. that is a great fast food burger. It was only a promotional burger. They brought it back to the menu by popular demand.
  18. Nice run for pegula! But just an absolute sloppy match. Both players looked pretty meh— tons of errors, no one holding their serve. Even playing poorly, she had a chance. Too bad that the critical point was a bad luck let winner for Switak.
  19. In the playoffs the last few years, I had to wear my heart rate monitor because I had never experienced such a high resting heart rate. I am super laid back and stress free in all things, except the Bills. I start stressing for days prior to any “big game” (and as my wife reminds me, I always say “every game is a big game.”)
  20. I have to think bellichick would be the best barometer of this. He has been fooling young QB’s for decades, and yet Allen surgically obliterated that D twice last year.
