    He is a warrior, and I am glad he is back. my hope is we can be smarter with his use— maybe mix him in more with the backups and save his body for the stretch run. Hopefully Hamlin and Benford are ready to go and we can have a bit of a rotation.

    I think he would have a leg to stand on had he had the breakout year this past year that everyone was expecting. He didn’t.

    Thinking about this some more, it was JB’s fault. He could have gone out on his own terms, but seems like he was refusing to be clear as to his intentions and timeline. Smart move by the school to just quickly put an end to it. Not classy, but necessary.

    Hope you guys are right! Just feel very jaded by the last few years, and worry that the continuity (especially re scheme and style of play) won’t help.

    Will be bittersweet, for sure. He is a legend, but these last few years have been lean. It is a different game now.

    This seems to be the normal disease that all #1 WR’s have. My one Steelers’ fan buddy warned me about this when I told him how Allen and Diggs were BFF’s. He said the same was true of Ben R and AB— they were out there throwing passes to each others’ sons in training camp, going out to eat, etc. Then when AB didn’t get the ball as much, all of that went out the window.

    I think he will be back to the Steelers on a very modest deal.

    I actually don’t think there is any team in the entire NFL that would trade anything (like not even a conditional 7th round pick) for him. Amazing how this guy has fallen.

    Didn’t you used to work for DTV? I canceled myself (after almost 20 years), and my plan runs out here in two weeks. Not sure yet what I am going to do.

    I have played a handful of times and it is pretty fun. I used to play quite a bit of ultimate frisbee back in the day and prefer it. But being a golfer, I like disc golf too. I have a buddy who is a die hard. Goes out every morning to play and loves it.
