  1. division games are weird; there will be lots of close games and losses between those teams.
  2. Hackett should have hired the old mr. Khaki pants data analytics department that marrone and him use to consult with!
  3. Hackett was agonizing over that play call sheet all night. It was between run left, run right, bootleg left, bootleg right. Lot of choices.
  4. what was he doing there? Calling timeouts before the snap. Was that for dramatic effect?
  5. I actually am thinking that could be one of the worst coaching decisions I have ever seen. It’s like when Jauron would be ultra conservative all game, but then call a high risk play at the absolute worst and wrong time to lose the game.
  6. Interesting data analytics there by the boy genius Hackett. Not like he has Russell Wilson as his starting QB and onlY needs 5 yards and has two timeouts.
  7. Don’t worry— these spot challenges have an extremely High chance of success. And it’s not like the Seahawks could use the TO in a 1-point game.
  8. ha! Bills fans have short memories. The fans were complaining about the red zone woes for most of the regular season last year!
  9. i will say this about Hackett— he at least has their running game going. But it is a very basic offensive scheme. Extremely predictable passing game. He has Russell Wilson— he can really open it up with a QB like that!
  10. Amazing that these refs actually call delays of game!
  11. if teams want to amplify volume through stadium design, which is basically no different than some teams illegally pumping sound in— whatever. But then to try to suggest that Seattle has these great loud fans is so disingenuous.
  12. Wow— should have kept Fangio. This defense doesn’t know how to tackle anymore.
  13. Drives me nuts that Brandon Staley is now this so-called genius, when he just uses The defense he learned under Fangio.
  14. its only like 10 people booing him. Those nerds re-designed the stadium to increase the volume 1000x fold.
  15. There is actually a pretty easy and proven way to slow him down. You get a defensive end to line up wide and jam him hard at the line— don’t let him free release. A few teams have done this with him (saints come to mind) and it was shown to be very effective. I don’t know know why more teams don’t do this— I am assuming there is a significant downside (maybe taking away one of your pass rushers basically).
  16. The Durant reference is spot on. A bball player with a really bad “calf strain”— just asking for that Achilles tear.
  17. Weirdly enough, not the Chiefs. They should be scared of us. We have a defense that can stop them, and they don’t have one that can stop us. I am mostly worried about the Colts— still having JT nightmares from last year.
  18. agree totally. I was telling my buddy this same thing. Go for the punch, if you want. You miss the ball at all, and it is a 15-yard unsportsmanlike. That’s the risk you take.
  19. we had the same mentality. I actually remember having a dream prior to that game of peerless price catching a long TD to make the score 70-7. I ended up having that exact same recurring dream many times for several years— every time it was Price against the Titans to make it 70-7. Of course, it never came true….
  20. Thanks for posting. This game was everything for me. Coming off the MCM, I hated that titans team and Jeff Fisher— we absolutely had to win this one. It is a game I still remember vividly.
  21. Ancillary point— when the snap was bad, the holder needed to just fall on the ball. That is the whole point of kicking on 3rd down in that situation.
  22. So much for thinking I got a fantasy steal with Dak in the 9th round. He has 1 fantasy point.
  23. All college football fans. Very little pro interest. If they follow pro teams, it’s like out of state teams. It may also be the fact that most of the people I know live in Austin and Houston.
