  1. Yeah, they love him here, and his wife is supposed to be a real “glue” person for the culture. Maybe they carry two QBs on the PS. They have room, at least right now.
  2. Thanks so much. very helpful. It’s weird. I am not feeling a lot of pain, but some instability and “crunchiness and clicking, and just not cutting like I need to. I played hoops this morning and did this pivot (trying not to put weight on that bad leg), and just fell on my butt. Very embarrassing. But I figure if I can get some PT and just kind of be careful playing through it, I won’t have to miss time playing sports, which is my major form of exercise.
  3. More of a grammar pet peeve than an expression. I hate when people drop the infinitives from sentences (“to be”.) so, they say, “That needs washed,” as opposed to “that needs to be washed.”
  4. were you able to play through it at all? I know it is probably a bad idea, but I have been bracing the knee and continuing to do some sports, like bball and golf. For bball, I am taking it easier— sort of trying not to cut hard, etc. Haven’t had more issues yet, but obviously the knee isn’t right. (Going to see a doc next week).
  5. This book really changed my mind on medical marijuana and legalization. Strong evidence linking marijuana use as causing mental health disorders. https://www.amazon.com/Tell-Your-Children-Marijuana-Violence/dp/1982103663 Didn’t see your post here. But I agree. It is really concerning if you read the literature. Also the THQ content in marijuana Today appears to be way higher than that of the 1960s.
  6. If this is the knee pain thread, I have come to the right place. Seeing the doctor next week. Think I may have slightly torn the meniscus playing pickleball of all things. Sort of clicking and not as stable.
  7. also, 3.8 yards behind a pretty elite oline!
  8. Neal looked better on D this preseason, FWIW.
  9. to your point, I guess the market spoke on that, and all we got was a pick swap for him.
  10. Not disagreeing with you, but I gotta give him credit for hustling. I think he really has a high motor (maybe because he has to), and maybe that makes up a bit for lack of quickness and speed. For example, I remember on that long TD run in the Steelers game a few weeks ago, Basham never quit on that play and tried to chase down Warren from the back side, and actually got relatively close.
  11. I am wondering if this means Kingsley Jonathan played his way onto the roster. Very similar player to Boogie.
  12. very frustrating. Also, boogie was looking pretty good too. Why not try to ship AJE instead? (Maybe he tried).
  13. But he hasn’t been healthy, and you have to give up a pick, and have to pay him. Considering all that, is it worth it?
  14. Same. I Watch a lot of Steelers games and Probably have seen every snap Rudolph has played. Wholly unimpressive. To put it in context, they benched Rudolph in favor of Duck Hodges.
  15. i am glad someone else feels the same way. This drives me nuts!
  16. I have felt this way about him coming into every season (after his rookie year), but he can’t seem to put it all together. Shows huge flashes, that’s for sure.
  17. Agreed. Damar held his own last year under some tough circumstances. There were some good film clips from cover 1, as I recall, showing him play really strong in run support. I think the Bills are going to be patient with him and his up and down preseason based on what they saw out of him last year, and the need to give him more time to get back from the heart scare.
  18. Agreed. Kyle Allen is a lot better.
  19. To your one point, I do believe this is now becoming more of an “expectation” and I can see coaches and teams saying they don’t care what the league says if this happens in the regular season.
  20. We have seen now three NFL games that have been canceled recently. The Bills/Bengals game due to Damar’s injury. And then two preseason games where a player suffered potentially serious injuries where stretchers were called. what are your thoughts on this? I definitely get the cancelation of the Bills/Bengals game, since that was so unprecedented and really a life or death situation. I am less sure how I feel about the other games, and I wonder whether we will see more of these team-initiated cancelations during the regular season. There are obviously major scheduling impacts, but also there is some real decency and humanity to halting games when someone gets seriously injured. Pretty tricky situation.
  21. the problem is how our team and offense is built. It’s not like we are the Niners, where they can plug in a semi-competent scrub, since their offense is entirely run-based with playaction. I just don’t think it is worth fretting over backup QB’s. Outside of a few, they are all going to be in the same boat. For us to win some games with a backup, we would have to win with defense and a strong run game.
  22. Josh Allen is like 85% of the offense. If he goes down, doesn’t matter who the backup QB is.
  23. Agreed. He is 100% going to the PS. Seems like a perfect PS guy.
  24. there’s more truth in that joke than you know.
  25. we need to sign this guy just purely out of spite.
