Due to what? A penalty in the endzone and a missed FG. And with the missed FG drive, that was also due to Josh taking a bad sack on third down. I am not saying everything was great today. But not sure what the coach is supposed to say when he is asked about the slow start on offense. Yeah, it would be great to start faster. But even with the slow start, if the players could execute a little better, they would have had 13 points at halftime.

What do you all expect him to say? and did the offense really start slow? Josh threw a pick. But we also had two 10+ play drives in the first half.

that’s pretty much the eagles offense. They are going to just keep running, especially down in the redzone.

In 2020, what was key was having more of a zone blocking scheme, being RPO heavy, and having Beasley in his prime. People forget how huge Beasley was to this offense. we could certainly try to replicate a lot of that, but the personnel now is different. That said, we actually have the ability to do a lot of other things better, like run the football and playaction. Great point.

This is true, but I am actually seeing every week this team slowly figure that out, especially on offense. It is painful to watch. But I have a feeling that we are close to seeing something click here.

Anyone know why Dorian Williams left the game? Was it injury related or due to bad play?

Sort of amazing to think that if Diggs caught that ball at the end, we could have had a viable shot to the endzone on the last play.

we are also literally the only team Gesecki plays great against. The guy is meh against everyone else. I don’t get it.

Honestly, this Jags defense is really good.

The fact that he missed both FGs in the exact same way makes me feel good. That doesn’t really suggest the yips— probably something more intentional with how he thought the wind was blowing or something.

We should be doing a similar deal with Indy for Lil Dirty. For all his faults, the guy could get open against man coverage.

One would hope that when Kincaid gets back, he is another option against man coverage. That said, I am surprised that a guy like Harty can’t get open against man.

Anyone know if pats still mostly play man coverage? For whatever reason, other than Diggs, our guys can’t seem to get open against man this year.

I agree. That stuff seems to fly more in college with your Kirby smart’s. But I don’t think pros really respond to the yelling and screaming stuff.

BTW, was watching the “highlights” from last night (or lowlights!), and I have to say one wrinkle I loved was on 3rd and 2 late, they motioned Diggs into the backfield as the RB. Then he released (against a safety or LB) for a quick 6-yard catch and an easy first down. Loved that concept!

I sort of see both sides on this. I think it would help the rhythm of the offense to get some more guys involved earlier. People gripe about Gabe and Knox dropping balls. It’s tougher to get into a rhythm when you only get like 2 targets. I really liked that little out to Shakir yesterday and the goal line pass to Harty. Keep feeding Diggs— but mix some more of that in so guys can get a feel for the game. I think it will up the level of play across the board.

they seem to play up and down to their opponents. You could tell the moment that Miami game started how locked in they were.
