agree. With golf, we have similar rules. We max out at a double. Gimme putt is inside the leather of your putter extended from the cup. And we do 1 breakfast ball.

I say this seriously, but wonder if the giants can trade us back Boogie. He isn’t even active for them most weeks, as far as I can tell.
-
Exactly. That’s why I get annoyed too with the people who take p-ball so seriously.

I have gotten into it. Thought it was lame before I tried it as a former tennis player (and I still prefer tennis), but it is pretty fun. I have played with my college age nephews and it is better when it is fast and you have athletic players. I will say that I get annoyed at some of these hard-core players. I played in a tournament on a cruise with these guys that took it way too seriously, and it started to annoy me.

I would be willing to bet Von is inactive. But I love his spirit!

Actually a smart move by the dolphins. I bet they have one niche thing for him to do and that’s it (eg, catch 5-yard fades).
-
haha. I have been actually making my way through Good Place recently. The jags references are hilarious.
-
I hear you. Just want to get a W, and get out. For me, it is the combination of the time, place, and the Jags. Who ever gets excited for a Jags game?

TNF. Sorry, is CHI/WSH worth a thread?

Looked like about 5 guys died on that 2-point attempt. -

I don’t get this Washington team at all. -

I always loved the Colts defense. They were very solid, well-coached, and opportunistic. I am surprised Eberflus has flopped in Chicago so far. -
if Von plays, he better look like this:

Great point. you are killing your TV coverage here in the US. I am guessing the ratings for 9:30 am est games are not good. You probably get almost no west coast and mountain time viewers. I know I haven’t tuned into any of the Sunday morning games myself yet. Also, I plan on going to church this Sunday. Will have to watch the first half and then go, and watch the rest after. I could skip church, but then that would cause the Bills to automatically lose.

I guess the Jags run the most screens of any team. Little concerned with that, as it seems like our D seems to get fooled by screens (and jet sweeps) with sometimes too much over pursuit.

the 9-6 game in 2021– those were the glory days for them, huh? also, I can’t even believe there is a jags fan board.

oh geez. I totally forgot about that 2009 game. The TO catch is memorable. But looking at that box score, what a forgettable team that was. that 2004 loss will live with me forever. I screamed when Wilford caught the TD to win the game, and it caused my newborn nephew to burst into tears. He is now 19 years old, and I tell him that story!

I hate playing those guys. The only fond memory I have was being at the game in 1998 when Flutie scored on the naked bootleg. otherwise, I can recount a parade of horrible games against the Jags (1996 playoff loss, which I had to listen to on the radio since we didn’t even sell out and I got blacked out on TV; 2004 home opener where they scored on the last play; EJ yahoo streaming mess in London; playoff loss with Tyrod at the helm; urban Meyer debacle).

Seems about right. Misdirection is not Matt Canada’s strong suit.- 45 replies

I can see him playing the clarinet in a Benny Goodman style orchestra.

Herb Miller sounds like a Mattress Firm salesman from Raleigh, NC.
-
Spot on. The whole team seems to raise their level of focus and intensity for these big games. (Makes me wonder why they laid such an egg against the Bengals last year).

I think it also has to do with Elam though. Lot of negative innuendo in the comments by McDermott about Elam. Even today, he basically was like, “we’ll see” about Elam.
