In all seriousness, I have a feeling Tua is going to take some hits on Sunday. Milano’s wasn’t even the worst; remember when AJE absolutely destroyed him? I have a good feeling about our D against that O. Obviously they are going to get yards and score points. But I think we can generate some big plays on D, and hold them (to at least under 70!).

I am not sure it mattered whether you put in there Derek Carr of Jimmy G, because they look like the exact same mediocre QB.

this is really alarming. I think his strength was zone coverage. His weaknesses really related to run D. That he laid this sort of egg has to be a bad sign for chicago.

Watching these Miami/broncos highlights today, we really need to stop their running game. Their backs are explosive. I don’t really see Tyreek Hill streaking wide open like he was today— though he will obviously be a focus of our attention too.

Re the first down playcalling, on paper, those screens and reverses and delayed speed draws should work against an aggressive d-line that gets up the field. But they don’t. Those elite d-linemen are too good and recover very easily. the better move is to just power run right at them. We should be doing that on first down, and get ourselves to at least like 2nd and 6 or 2nd and 7.

This is like a disease that seems to inflict every offensive coordinator. Getting too cute on short yardage.
