  1. What is with this atlanta offense? Last week, it was super creative. Ton of motion, unique formations and groupings. This week it is very simple.
  2. I think you just have to run on them. San Fran with a pretty good game plan so far.
  3. it’s a really hard play, and some of these QBs and WRs make it look so easy. That was a perfect throw and such a great adjustment and strong catch. They made it look super easy.
  4. For the many superstitious fans out there like me (and @Just Jack ), you have to admire Dan Campbell’s wife! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/wife-detroit-lions-dan-campbell-200000333.html Here are the highlights: During games in Detroit, Holly watches and supports the team from a stadium suite — just not in the way most people might imagine. “If things are not going our way, I get sent to the bathroom,” she shares, noting there's one inside the suite. *** But if things go south, Holly takes note of what she was wearing and puts the outfit “on ice for a while,” adding that it's "not being worn any time soon.” *** At the time, the Lions endured 10 losses before finally securing a win against the Minnesota Vikings. “The day we won our first game, I forgot to say it – for the first time ever,” Holly says. “And it’s worked out for him, so maybe it was me. The whole time, it was me saying, ‘Do a good job.’ ”
  5. This is the age old debate of would you trade “best college team” for “worst NFL team.” There’s no way. it’s not like I don’t watch college football and see how good Ohio state and some of the other elite teams are. But it’s an apples to oranges comparison. Even of the 14 Ohio state players drafted last year, more than half will flame out. That’s just the normal bust odds for NFL draft picks.
  6. except for Chris jones. If he gets injured, they are basically done.
  7. I wouldn’t even trade the guys on our practice squad plus the guys we all will know will end up there (Eli Ankou, Jefferson, the usual suspects) for their team.
  8. I don’t think the oline has been bad in pass pro. The bills (Josh?) haven’t been setting their protections right, leading to tons of free rushers.
  9. Agree. I think the NFL is coming back around to investing in O as the way to win.
  10. agree. On a related note, My buddy who is a Steelers fan was complaining about the CB coverage last night on that play. That was perfect coverage! Higgins is just so good— he’s going to just adjust and catch that. well, I did say Flacco played great. But even he admitted that it was like being a kid in a candy store throwing to those two guys.
  11. i think Flacco played great. But you can basically put any semi-competent starter with those two receivers and throw for 300 yards. you put burrow with Curtis samuel and Elijah Moore…. I wonder what would happen?
  12. my fantasy team begins its ascent from the ashes….
  13. Seriously. There probably aren’t 2 or 3 other QBs who could have made that throw. That was insane.
  14. I seriously can’t believe he threw that to the end zone.
  15. NFL yet again fighting common sense on what is a catch.
  16. Huh? Didn’t look like that DB had both feet down?
  17. Flacco not looking bad, but those receivers are not helping him at all.
  18. the catch rules just overall defy common sense. You slow anything down to the frame, and it probably doesn’t look like a catch. my rule change would be— if it looks like a catch in real time, then it is. Should be a judgment call, just like calling “holding” is a judgment call. We shouldn’t be looking at surviving the ground or the ball moving.
  19. what I hate too is how these announcers are like “good play” when the receiver makes some unnatural move to dive back into the defender. That Diggs one was especially bad because he was out of bounds.
  20. Dude is a head case. He is like 1 bad game or even a bad play away from exploding. If the Steelers traded him away, you know he’s really bad.
  21. Def PI where the ball is underthrown and the receiver comes back into the defender. that should Be considered an “uncatchable” ball and no penalty. Otherwise, it rewards a bad pass and penalizes good coverage.
  22. Bigger issue was just not even running the ball, after it was working. It was a 1-score game. Whether cook or ray or TY, we could have kept running that inside stuff and picking up chunk yards. I actually don’t think they ever stopped us on those runs.
  23. Not holding out hope. Also, opening the window after the bye, probably means a few weeks after the bye. That and the 4-week window, and are they really trotting him out in December?
