  1. Completely agree. I too was (foolishly) expecting that thumbs-up sign by Damar. This was a crisis situation. People that have never been involved in these types of situations don’t appreciate how fluid they are and also how mistakes can be made by really Sophisticated people and organizations.
  2. to be honest, i give the NFL a bit of a pass. Probably messed up. But I am also not sure they had all the info and I think as the seriousness escalated, they figured it out. In these crisis situations, communication mistakes are often made as information is discovered.
  3. Remember when Josh had that super long streak of zero red zone interceptions? I kind of wonder if there is a benefit to taking more risks down there. That is, when he wasn’t throwing those picks, were we scoring fewer TD’s in the red zone than we are scoring now with a few picks?
  4. ESPN seems like it is really cutting it close with this Rose Bowl. Better not delay Showing our game.
  5. was going to mention Jeff Ruby! He has several great restaurants downtown. Back in the day, I used to go to the Maisonette— which was actually considered one of the best restaurants in the country for many years. That, and there were a few other French bistros in Cincy that were great. I remember eating at a few super nice Asian spots on Mount adams too. it’s been a few years since I have been back— kinda wish I had bought tickets for this game!
  6. well, now I am nervous! White, Jackson, Elam, Rhodes, and Benford. That is a solid 1-5 group, IMO.
  7. the thing I don’t get about Cincy Chili is the excessive cheese on top. You walk by a Skyline and see the photos, and they seem to put like a full bag of shredded cheese on the top. That said, I have been to Cincy many times And have never been tempted to get the chili— they have a ton of other great food options there, and so I have never found time to get the chili. Great food town.
  8. even if bad Mike White shows up, I am thinking Jets win like 13-3. It is not going to be a pretty game.
  9. I have to think that the atmospherics of rushing him back for a must-win game had to play a factor in this too. Stinks for the Dolphins, but they have no chance of beating the jets without Tua. Like none.
  10. my own conspiracy theory on Benford is that the IR thing was a bit of a stash, and he has been learning up to move to safety (or at least backup there if needed) for the stretch. We are thin at safety, and are deep at corner. And I have never heard of an oblique sidelining someone for 3 weeks before.
  11. haha— must be a generational thing, because that’s who I picture when I think of Quesenbury too.
  12. At least it is looking clear until then. There was a good chance of rain throughout the entire game earlier in the week. Hopefully when the storms come, they remain scattered and away from the area.
  13. Marrone. (It is a very unisex name too).
  14. I thought Harbaugh shut that door last year. Seems pretty bad form for him to flip.
  15. As pitiful as this sounds, I started to wear my heart monitor during the playoff games and force myself to calm down. My normal resting heart rate is like 50. During the 2020 playoffs, it would be like 100. What is sad is that this enjoyable experience is the one that produces the most stress of anything for me. I tried to be better last year and make watching the games a social experience with friends. Now, I am back to pacing around alone and watching with great anxiety.
  16. The one guy I always watch and wish he were on the Bills is Austin Ekeler. I swear that he catches 3-yard passes, and every time turns it into a 10-yard gain with a little wiggle, broken tackle, or dive forward. I thought Hines would be that guy for us, and he has flashed (had a huge third down conversion last game in the red zone where he made a guy miss on a check down), but not with any consistency. Eckler does that literally every time he touches the ball.
  17. Just know that those two years of education serves this Bills message board well!! I will say that I have become a weather nut over the last few years because of this team and our weird weather games. I love the windy.com Site for wind— it always seems to be super accurate and gives you the wind speed and gust speed pretty far out in advance.
  18. Land Clark doesn’t know how to call holds. He misses the obvious ones and any time someone gets pancaked on a block, he assumes it is a hold. There was one play where the Ravens center got called for a hold on a textbook block where the defender fell. recall this Land Clark hold call on Dawkins from the Jets loss— it was an awesome block and overturned a critical play:
  19. he is a super coach, and this could be his best year. To keep that team together and have them where they are is amazing. his coaching stats too just overall are like top-3 of all Coaches of all time stuff, and he hasn’t even hit the age where Bellichick started having success.
  20. ha! Maybe. It looked like he was stuck when trying to get out. I also give him the benefit of the doubt because Heyward is pretty much one of the highest character and clean defensive stars in the league, IMO.
  21. It’s like a 1940s football game. Ravens going with the wing T out there.
