Barkevious Mingo released due to child sex allegations
buffaloaggie replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Child abuse is beyond awful. Absolutely despise that institutions have been involved in covering it up, just as guilty as individuals. In this case, I'm not so sure, and will let facts come out rather than rushing to judgment. Mingo seems like an OK person. He helped Armonty Bryant when Bryant was fighting substance abuse. The fact that his lawyer even focused on the Falcons releasing him, rather than only the indecency charge, makes me think this needs to play out in court, letting facts come out. -

Buffalo's Four Major Sports - Mount Rushmore

If it's that someone played Professionally in Buffalo, I'd go with: Football - Bruce Smith Hockey - Dominik Hasek Basketball - Bob McAdoo Baseball - Johnny Bench -
It's not hate. He has not lived up to the hype. Defensive Rookie of the Year predictions fell short. This year, I have seen a Defensive Player of the Year prediction now from LaConfora. I think many agree he is out of position, and he does not play with good instinct. He's an athlete that can chase down plays, better suited as an OLB.

53 Man Roster: Projection After OTA/Minicamp
buffaloaggie replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cutting Butler would mean a $6mil cap hit, zero savings. Cutting Zimmer and Harry saves the Bills $1.87 mil on their cap. Unless they make an undeniable case for keeping them, the cap says Zimmer and Harry are gone. -
Carl Nassib Announces He is Gay
buffaloaggie replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being gay should not be a big thing. Being a lesbian is more commonplace in women's sports, so it's not as big a deal, though the media still seems to enjoy when someone has a preference reveal. That said, he needed to come out now, IMO, because he's overpaid and was benched towards the end of last season. He was in danger of losing his platform. so better to do it while he's an active player vs. being a released player. That way, he can bring an increased attention to the Trevor project. We'll next have the first male athlete to come out while a superstar in their sport. -
Which is a good thing. It's tough going from HS to college, playing as a true freshman. He is good, has a cannon arm, but you kind of need to let performance on the field do the talking. He has a learning curve, just like any other rising HS player. Speed increases at each level. He'll be playing against 11 guys now with similar skills to the player that picked him twice in the Championship.

Ewers obviously has some learning to do. Watching his play against Austin Westlake in the State Championship, he made some bad decisions in that game. The #1 QB should be able to overcome High School play, even against a dominant team like Westlake. Give him a year or two before you expect greatness. He's not Trevor Lawrence or even Kyler Murray.

Etienne can't catch as well? To me, he was more effective catching the ball against teams like Bama, OSU, A&M and ND. Harris is a poor man's D.Henry. Big, but not as much speed. I'd wait for Javonte Williams if he gets to us in RD 2. Edge rusher, CB (Samuel) or a trade down for Day 2 picks. I think an EDGE rusher would help us the most to possibly reach the SB

Brandon Beane at Clemson pro day
buffaloaggie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is anyone considering that Etienne ran up rushing numbers against poor ACC defenses? Ohio State limited him two years in a row, LSU shut him down, and he may have had one decent game against Bama in their blowout win three years ago. Otherwise, I'd rather have a more tested commodity in Najee Harris. I'm sure Daboll would like Harris too. -
Apparently, it's a requirement that the drafted pass rusher will put guys in the hospital. 😂

Trade up or trade back in this year’s draft?

A lot depends on who we get in FA. We could wind up with our DE/pass rusher there 🤞 -
Trade up or trade back in this year’s draft?

Corner is always a wild card. Our roster has a 1st rounder (Tre), a 4th (Johnson), and two UDFAs (Wallace and Cam Lewis). I feel better going with a later round CB, while targeting a OT and LB with 1 and 2. We're mostly in a position to take best available. -

Bills need to play with the salary cap at this point, getting younger, less expensive contributors. Bills may be shedding DTs, Edge players, and will likely need a LB. They'll also be filling holes in the OL. They need bodies, that can turn into potential starters. At best, we can trade down from the first round, and still get a potential rookie starter or two with the 1st and 2nd picks. After that, it is about cheaper players. If we're talking about scoring some impact FAs, the FO will have to sacrifice somewhere. Trading down gives us cap relief while still filling holes in the roster. And yes, draft depth is there at Tackle, CB and LB, three areas where the Bills can use help. -

This is a very deep draft. Trading back and gathering more picks makes the most sense in this draft. -
Two players that have my interest as later picks are Elerson Smith EDGE Northern Iowa https://withthefirstpick.com/2021/01/01/elerson-smith-scouting-report/ and Israel Mukuamu, a 6'4" CB out of South Carolina, though Mel Kiper has him rated pretty high https://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-football/article242534821.html

Texas A&M RB Spiller..any relation to CJ?
buffaloaggie replied to Big Turk's topic in College Football
As others have said, Fred Spiller is his Dad. Isaiah is a big Adrian Peterson fan, and that's why he wears #28. He flipped to A&M after Jimbo Fisher's hire. Jimbo runs the ball, Kevin Sumlin not so much. Isaiah has great size, and moves very well. Great kid too. Lots of NFL potential. -

Predict the division winner: AFC South
buffaloaggie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Titans have a good defense, great RB, a good set of young receivers. Agreed that the Titans can outscore or shutdown other teams.
