  1. It's a bicep tear. He is out for the season. Sorry that he got injured, but it's fortunate for the Bills that it happened while he wasn't on their roster. The "injury prone" tag will be on Crowell the rest of his career.
  2. You have got to be kidding! The interception on the first possession was an interference. It wasn't called. People just have too much idle time when they bring up an idiotic idea like starting Fitzpatrick. Edwards is fine, T.O. will be back. BTW, please don't start questioning T.O.'s injury either. I wouldn't be disappointed if he sat out even another game. It is preseason after all.
  3. I have to agree. Everyone blamed his lack of production on not having anyone else on the other side to get pressure on the QB. His injury has turned him into a huge question mark. If the Bills can save money and give another player with potential the chance to show what he can do, I'd say it'd be worth getting rid of Schoebel.
  4. It does look stupid, but it's a step above the frohawk, the worst hairstyle since the mullet.
  5. Hamdan is a VERY inexpensive #3. That's the advantage he'd have over the other QB's you mentioned. Not sure if those guys would settle for the 500-600K that Hamdan is getting vs. playing in the UFL.
  6. Sandy Denny...only outside vocalist ever to sing on a Led Zeppelin song.
  7. NFL Network tried to get Mark Schlereth when they heard his contract was up.
  8. Pretty much... The #9 pick has signed a five-year, $28.5 million deal with $18M guaranteed The #12 pick has signed a five-year, $23 million deal with $13M guaranteed
  9. I think ESPN may have lured him away. From what I hear, the two networks hate each other and will do just about anything to steal the other's talent.
  10. 5 years and $25M...think there will be any expectations for Mr. Maybin? Glad he's signed, but he has a whole lot of time to make up for. Really don't want to see a Derrick Harvey type year of 15 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
  11. I saw this in an article on Yahoo! Really does not make sense that the Bills would want to keep the signing quiet until after Saturday if he's on the active roster, does it? BTW, I'm glad John Wawrow is keeping us straight! Thanks for all of your updates!
  12. As much as things are apparently not official, I'd say from T.O.'s tweets and Shefter's reports, an agreement is in place, and some ink needs to be put on paper after a plane flight from Maryland sometime today.
  13. Freeney - 4.48 40 yard dash 28 reps @ 225lbs Maybin 4.64 40 yard dash 22 reps @ 225lbs Not much to compare on, other than they were both #11 picks. Both have quick first steps. Freeney weighed 16 pounds more at the combine. Maybin is 3 inches taller. Once Maybin gets on the field, we'll have something concrete to base judgements on. Guess that'll be in Pittsburgh.
  14. OK, Aaron, show us what you got! Substance or Hype?
  15. I'm still stuck at UDFA with 300+ posts. Of course, I didn't post anything on TSW for six or seven years after joining as I was posting on a CFL website. Can you make that Doug Flutie category?
  16. Chris Simms at #9??? Looking at these ratings makes me realize how bad most team's backups are. Had to mention our old buddy Todd Collins at #6. Impressive! Maybe Rob Johnson should make a comeback.
  17. He already added weight to get to 250. I worry about how much weight that he can put on and still maintain his best assets, his quick first step and speed. I agree, his height is fine. As a comparison at DE, look at Jarvis Moss. He was underweight at 6-6 1/2 and 250 pounds, now up to 265. He is nearing total first round bust status, and will be there after the Broncos release him later this month, as rumored. Once Maybin takes the field, we'll know if he can get to the QB in the NFL. Let's hope his quick first step and speed will produce Freeney like results and not have his lack of weight produce a Jarvis Moss like bust.
  18. Who needs Maybin?
  19. Sounds like he just wasn't motivated to play in Buffalo. Here's a couple of his latest tweets:
  20. So how close do deaths have to be, to consider them coming in three's? Eunice Kennedy Shriver was a week ago. ...and Ted Kennedy was on the 14th...oh wait, that was the hockey player Ted Kennedy.
  21. I think it was Donte Whitner that was being interviewed during the game Saturday, and he was talking about how the Bills would control time of possession with the no huddle. Has he ever watched SBXXV (sorry to bring it up) when the Giants had the ball more than 40 minutes? TOP could be a misnomer in the scenarios that you describe only in the case of giving the defense a chance to rest. The defense would get the same amount of rest in both cases you talk about. TOP measures a team controlling the game clock and the ball, keeping it from the other team so they can't score. The Bills of the 90's had the good problem of scoring too quickly and not giving the defense a chance to rest. Those Bills could run the same number of plays in 25 minutes of clock time that the other team could run in 35 minutes. It all comes down to how effecient you are when you have the ball. If you score on a long play each time you have the ball, number of plays and TOP would not matter, because your offense was efficient with the ball. Basically, what I'm saying is TOP and number of plays can show a team dominated a game possession-wise, but it also might not mean squat if the other team was incredibly efficient.
  22. I remember being at the 1997 Mastercard Colonial and that was the beginning of his not talking after losing. After losing to Mike Weir in the President's Cup in 2007. PGA 2009. I'm not in the habit of having to track Tiger pulling a LeBron (or is it LeBron pulling a Tiger?) Mickelson talked after his blow up at the U.S. Open. Link I can't agree with everything this guy says, but he thinks Tiger's a sore loser. You also did notice that Tiger marked his ball, rather than letting Yang putt last. The tournament was over because all Yang had to do was two-putt from where he was and he still would win, but Tiger couldn't accept defeat. Pretty much every golfer would have putted out in Tiger's position.
