  1. History from preseasons past...The Lions went 4-0 and then went 0-16 during the season last year. Way back when, the Bills went 0-4 in preseason and made it to the Super Bowl. Granted, I think that team actually scored a TD with their first team offense, unlike Trent and Company. I am a bit concerned also, but I'm not going to say we're on our way to the #1 or 2 pick next year until the season starts and then we'll see the true ability of this team. I agree, this coaching staff is the problem. When players consistently underachieve, you have to figure they're not getting the best brought out in them. I don't think anyone has ever said "that Turk Schoenert is an offensive genius" and meant it. The Bills are like my old company, they watch their good people walk out the door and replace them with the mediocrity that's left over. That explains Turk's rise to OC, except we never had good people in place on our coaching staff in the first place, except Bobby April.
  2. How did the Bills miss out on Trevor Scott? UB grad, he looks pretty good from what I've seen in this game. Tied for most sacks by a rookie last year.
  3. Calipari replaced this guy who was just recently in the news: Billy Gillispie Which one is the lesser of two evils?
  4. Now that's funny, I don't care who ya'are. Just do a google on ADP Fantasy Football. You'll get some good info. Antsports.com is a good site.
  5. He talks more about video. How about a good, clear sound system. Whether it's just at the table or the whole bar. Some places crank the noise to a point where it's kind of annoying. A competent wait staff is good, but if the waitress is good looking too, my viewing experience level goes way up
  6. Here's to hoping that Stanford education pays off!
  7. CBS had documents that could not be authenticated. They were copies of memos, not the originals, and would probably not hold up in court. The case was further complicated by damaged or destroyed microfilm containing Bush's records. CBS made a mistake in going on with the story, without verifying that the memos about Bush's service could be authenticated. That cost Rather his job. Everything in the Rather case became hearsay, so it would be hard to make a true judgment in the case. The evidence, for or against Bush was gone. Bush's admission to Russert is pretty much golden. He did some kind of miltary service and NEVER volunteered to go to Vietnam.
  8. Thought that was pretty much settled why he can be buried in Arlington. I guess we need to start a new thread to rehash Bush's military service, or alleged service.
  9. Too quick...the whole transcript from Meet The Press...read it! Meet The Press Transcript Search on Vietnam...read it and weep. Sad what you've come to believe all these years. Truly a brave thing to say when Daddy was protecting you. He never put in a request. End of your BS.
  10. Link??? Just want to see for myself. I'm kind of skeptical of any claim relating to politics. I'd appreciate it. I would have figured Bush would have told our late friend Tim Russert the whole tale since it was on Meet The Press. Pretty reputable show, don't you think? Oh wait, Tim did mention it and you can read Bush's reply: Bush and Tim Russert The whole transcript from Meet The Press Then again we can't trust Tim Russert. maybe because NBC would also be part of the liberal media. Fox News is the only source we can trust.
  11. Are you getting this off of Fox News? Flew in a plane maybe. Volunteered for Vietnam??? Probably not. Bush Military service He got credits, that's all that can be said for Bush's military service.
  12. I thought Hanie looked decent as the Bears backup. Jackson is WAY better than Hamdan for certain and he'd be an improvement over Fitzpatrick, IMO. I think that I saw that Jackson's salary is pretty reasonable, less than $1M, so depending on the asking price, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go after him.
  13. The reason Texas is picked on is because of their huge success followed by so many high draft picks that flop. It makes one wonder what the deal is when you have so many high draft picks from one school go bust (or semi-bust) Vince Young Ricky Williams Mike Williams (the biggest reason Texas players are characterized as soft in Buffalo) Michael Huff Cedric Benson Not only were these guys flops, they were also headcases, especially Young, Ricky Williams and Benson. I agree that Texas has its' share of decent NFL players, but these are arguably their most prominent names in recent years and all are, or are nearing bust status.
  14. Time will tell with Orakpo. He has all the physical tools, but it is always the desire of a Texas FB player that must be questioned. Maybe he will break the mold of Young, the Williams boys, Benson, Huff and others. As far as playing teams with talent, they usually make it to a major bowl and beat the likes of USC and Ohio State. Oklahoma State and Texas Tech have been top 20 teams. Not sure what else you want them to prove? Granted, the Big 12 is not the SEC.
  15. It's going around here in Atlanta. Two cases on the Georgia Tech campus, and a co-worker's son has a confirmed case, which means the co-worker will get it, and soon we'll get it. I've heard it lasts about a week. Did you take anything special for it?
  16. Boost to health care reform??? Pass a poorly written bill because Kennedy died? It is doomed to fail thanks to Congress having pork-barrel legislation to appease all of their special interests, rather than addressing only health care in the bill. Obama is turning into a huge joke. In a matter of seven months he has gone from having huge support to a negative approval rating. BTW, my thoughts go out to the Kennedy family and my thoughts also go out to Mary Jo Kopechne's family, 40 years later.
  17. Here's almost everyone's wish...this may give Copeland Bryan a chance to run against the first string.
  18. Not being able to walk off the field is often pretty bad. Let's hope this was just a precautionary move.
  19. Thought Miss Puerto Rico was the one...tough to argue against any of them
  20. I'll see which way the wind is blowing and make a prediction next week.
  21. I like what I've seen from Ellis and Bryan. It would be good to see Bryan against the #1 unit, especially since he seems to be the only one able to get a sack on our D. Nic Harris does deserve a shot and Stupar has been good so far, considering he's been the leading receiver each game. I still think Steve Johnson deserves more time to see if he could displace Josh Reed as our third WR.
  22. I'd be curious to see your picks by round. koolaid, can you post your whole 1st round and then your picks by rounds? I do kind of think you reached on a few also, but not bad at all. D McFadden should surprise this year. If Rice can get a hold on to the starting spot for the Ravens, you've got a solid RB corps. Vincent Jackson did my team well last year. I expect greater things from him this year. 12 team leagues are tough, so that's why your team looks watered down.
  23. I watched enough to know he's not worth what we're paying him. Enjoy your man crush!
  24. Ellison made a nice play for a loss on a 4th down in the little that I saw. Did he play that bad otherwise?
  25. The little that I could watch of the game, Schobel was easily handled one on one. I didn't see much of a double team on him. Somewhere along the way, I got the idea Schobel was a pass rusher.
