  1. I am one of the Atlanta Billsbackers. Just to add a little more motivation to hook up with the Atlanta BB's, March 15th, the night before the Sabres-Thrashers game, Lindy Ruff and Rick Jeanneret are going to have a Q&A at the same place, the Hudson Grille Midtown. It is a great group, and Ronni has made some good connections for us. She does an excellent job organizing events along with Russ, the manager at Hudson Grille.
  2. that too
  3. Leach walks the plank Maybe he can represent himself with that brilliant mind and law degree. I guess he'll be available for an Offensive Coordinator position.
  4. Snead does suck. He had a terrible year this year. I wouldn't touch him until after Rd 5. Has anyone been looking at mock drafts? This one is the biggest joke...Ryan Mallett to the Bills with their first pick. 2010 Mock Draft
  5. Ralph is responsible for the front office. To that fact, yes, he had a hand in the dominant Bills teams. He had Bill Polian, the architect of the great Bills teams, and FIRED him. Look at the Colts now and tell me who knows what they're doing, and then look at the Bills now and tell me who made a great hire and then let the best GM in the NFL go. Ralph had Bill Polian, and you can only give him credit for bringing on Bill Polian. Polian got Kelly to sign, made the trade for Biscuit, made a bunch of great draft choices. I'd say he was the man responsible for those Bills more so than Ralphie, wouldn't you? Ralph's usefulness to the NFL ended with the AFL-NFL merger. His usefulness to Buffalo will end when he passes away, because he has done nothing that we know of to guarantee that the Bills will be staying in Buffalo. Buffalo is in NFL purgatory.
  6. You don't think Ralphie is making a profit? Ralph has done a great job holding down ticket prices, but he's managed expenses by skimming on the front office salaries. The results speak for themselves. Bills fans have paid for a mediocre at best product. They should not be paying anymore. Ralph's organization is terrible. He lost control when he fired Bill Polian and John Butler. Then he listened to ESPN to get the bumbling Tom Donahoe. Since then, we've had a marketing guy running the team, so the signing this year of T.O. makes sense...marketing sense, but not football sense. Our drafts have been horrible. Even this year, passing on Orakpo and Oher to take Aaron Maybin shows how bad Ralph's organization/braintrust is. Buffalo has a passionate fan base, something you will not find in L.A., whose fans go there to be seen, and if the team loses, you will not see any fans. Ticket prices will go up under a new owner, but at least that owner will have a better idea on how to build a winner. Buffalo fans will still show, especially with a winning team. Ralph Wilson rode Bill Polian's coat tails. When you look at the years without Polian, you see a pretty sorry franchise.
  7. Not only does McClain have great physical tools, he is an unbelievable leader on the field. He is a great student of the game and spends hours in the film room. He truly is a coach on the field and will be able to call out adjustments as the offense lines up. Without a doubt, any NFL team would be crazy to pass this guy up. Except for drafting Suh.
  8. Just another reminder of how stupid our front office was/is: 2006-could have drafted Winston Justice or Marcus McNeill, and the Bills picked...John McCargo (even traded up for him). Thank Marv for that brilliant move. As much as I'd like to have Bushrod, it'd probably be a bad idea to go after the RFA. If we traded Jason Peters for a 1st, 4th and 6th, why would we want to give up a 1st and a 3rd?
  9. You have to ask has a college system QB ever made it in the pros? David Klingler, Andre Ware, Kliff Kingsbury, B.J. Symons, Graham Harrell and even Colt Brennan. None have accomplished anything in the NFL. Now, someone with a Mike Leach hard on is saying Mike Leach is the answer. He could be, but judging from his QB's "accomplishments" in the NFL, I'd say no. As far as Brohm being the future, as many are saying, he hasn't done much, and if someone wants to point to Brett Favre and the Atlanta situation as an example of a 3rd stringer, Jerry Glanville was an ass, and just had something against Favre. The Packers were fortunate picking Favre up and the rest is history. I doubt McCarthy had something against Brohm. It's just that he wasn't that good. Sure, give him another chance, and yes bring in a QB coach. Wasn't Sam Wyche brought in as a QB coach to help Losman? That worked well.
  10. The fact that we got him ahead of the Dolphins makes it a worthwhile pickup.
  11. Internet studs who are only a palm away from being with hot women.
  12. At least he was better than Duke Preston, not that it says much for him.
  13. Felser article ESPN mentioned Bill Polian's son as a possibility. Bill probably would not advise his son to take the job. Holmgren and Gruden did not want the coaching job, Shanahan will consider it. Hope Shanahan is a miracle worker, because this team is a mess. We'll see if Ralph is not cheap.
  14. #11 and right behind SF again...unreal. Even if we lose out, we'll only move up to #8. None of top seven will move. How bad is that? Think about it though, one spot could have gotten us Patrick Willis a few years ago instead of Marshawn.
  15. I Want to Work for Diddy, followed by For the Love of Ray J on VH1. Thank God for DVR's!
  16. They did say that. He's playing out of position in the 3-4.
  17. Why speculate on free agency? Look at our activity over the past five years and tell me honestly that we're going after any big names. Scout.com free agent ratings BTW, when did the Bills sign Jerramy Stevens? (Look at 2007 signings)
  18. I can appreciate a good Aggie joke when I hear it. A good one. Did you hear about the Aggie who bought a ladder, and carefully put a sign on the top rung: "STOP HERE." My bad about who Tech is playing this week. Oklahoma State plays one of the other two Texas schools that Tech has lost to this year. I'll give Tech the KU win, so they'll be 6-4 after OSU. I did not know that about Leach and his academic prowess. A law degree and he became a football coach. Guess he couldn't pass the bar, so he went to the United States Sports Academy. WOW!!! I don't question that this guy has accomplished a lot at Tech. All I know is I really enjoyed the game against Tech. Tech losing to an A&M team that I will admit is not very good. Walk proud senator, walk very proud!
  19. I really could care less what Mike Leach says. They're just words. Do you think that he knows outside of the military academies, A&M provides more commissioned officers than any other school. No, because he knows nothing besides football. When he makes a comment about anything else, he sounds like a complete idiot. I could care less what this mental midget says. His program has peaked and now it's going back down, and all he can do is cry. Pete Carroll is a head football coach, Mike Leach is a head football coach, when you introduce the concepts of success and class, that is where Leach falls short. What part of that comparison do you not understand, Senator? Texas Tech WAS in the national spotlight. Now they're 5-3 about to go 5-4 after losing to Oklahoma State this week. His pirate ship is taking on water fast. In their two great seasons under Leach they got totally exposed by SEC schools, Bama shutting them down and then Ole Miss "upsetting" them last year by outgaining their vaunted offense.
  20. I think his original quote was: It is a point well taken. To help you out, he is saying Leach is classless and has not enjoyed the success at the college level that Pete Carroll has had.
  21. Went to Town Tavern Friday. Found out they didn't have the Center Ice package, so we did Tavern On the Tracks Saturday. $2 Miller Lites and Coors Lights all day. We were there about six hours watching college football and then the Sabres. Had well over 100 beers between nine of us. Probably about 200 people there watching the Sabres game. Great time. After that, Buckhead Saloon was a blast later Saturday night. They had the Gravediggers Ball downtown that night. Provided many nice sights at the Saloon. Sunday, we hung out at the Residence Inn we were staying at right next to the stadium and hung out with the Miller Lite girls and some girls we saw at Tavern On the Tracks the night before. Then, the game. I had a great time in Charlotte. Where the hell did you hang out? With your parents???
  22. It seems like each game, he is flagged for one or multiple false starts, and he gets beat like a drum. It's really not his fault. He's been thrown into that spot and it's a baptism by fire. I wouldn't give up on him though. I agree our whole OL is at fault. Everyone has taken their turn getting blown up.
  23. Exactly. Delhomme sucked more than Fitzpatrick. Carolina outgained us by over 250 yards. We got 4 turnovers and a key fourth down stop.
  24. Exactly what I was thinking after watching him go half-heartedly after a deep ball and dropping another early in the game. T.d'oh is not giving a full effort and is just playing out the year. I saw him limp off after his failed reverse, which I'd blame more on terrible blocking, but I would have loved to have seen a coach say something to him after the drop and the lack of effort on the other early pass. The only encouraging thing that I saw from owens was him laughing it up with Evans on the sideline after his TD. In my opinion, owens is collecting his check and planning his exit. He makes a play now and then, showing something, but the Bills will never get his full effort. It was never a good fit in Buffalo. owens has behaved, but he has not shown the rest of the NFL that he is worth anywhere close to $6 mil through his play. Bad QB/OL play aside, just catch the damn ball, owens. Enjoy being a decoy.
  25. Steve, what the heck where ya thinking? I'm guessing she has a good personality when she's not flipping out.
