  1. It would tear down the Jets even more with Brian Schottenheimer taking a few good Jets assistants with him. Uncle Kurt is also out there to work with him. Maybe we'll have news once the Jets lose in SD this weekend.
  2. This shows she's always been more interested in money and celebrity status than she ever was in being a politician, since she resigned as Alaska Governor to make money off of a book deal. She knew she was overmatched becoming involved at the VP/Presidential and world level. I'll look forward to seeing her Fox News clips on various comedy shows.
  3. Thurman is drinking again, and he's having a happy hour to celebrate MLK day that friday. Seriously, I'll go with something about getting their (Kelly, Thomas and others) foot in the door for owning the Bills.
  4. I think people are thinking he will help the OL and running game with his background. Beyond that, we know nothing about his discipline demands, his organization or his decision making. Hopefully, that will all come out in the interview process. What I'd like to see is a name that hasn't been brought up any time a HC job comes open. I don't think Sean Payton was a big name, yet he came out of nowhere and showed something in the interview to get him the job with the Saints. I think Maurice Carthon was the OC at that time, and Payton was QB coach. He did have pedigree being on Bill Parcells' staff.
  5. and jauron is still our coach
  6. By QB rating alone, you can't argue, he is top 5. Manning is MVP, Romo is still playing, and we'll see Favre, Brees and Rivers this weekend. Rodgers needs to win something to be considered best despite getting screwed yesterday. Just another point to ponder, the Bills traded up to draft Losman so the Packers wouldn't get him. The Packers "settled" for Rodgers the following year as he fell in their lap.
  7. I guess we're all enlightened now...again.
  8. This is embarrassing. We're making a friggin coach into an idol. I hope Fraizer gets the job now. At least we won't worship him.
  9. See Mike Shanahan. The Bills seem to be a stepping stone for coaches to get the job that they really want.
  10. The reason why RBs make the biggest impact is because the position is the easiest transition from the college to the pro game. Why even consider a RB? Seems like off-season releases of RBs are plentiful, so we could get a backup for Jackson from that group and trade or release Lynch. Last I checked, Fred Jackson's pretty good. Our most pressing needs are OT, LB, DT, DE. Of course, didn't we fill the DE need last year? I'll fill in the 2010 ROY on defense: Rolando McClain Hopefully: Rolando McClain Buffalo Bills Linebacker Alabama
  11. One year left on a 2 yr 24 mil contract. How much of a cap hit would it be? He seems pretty expensive for a QB that has his best years behind him. Volek would come cheaper, and he wouldn't have the wear and tear that McNabb has. Plus, he's never really had a chance to prove himself being stuck behind McNair and then Rivers. Unfortunately, Volek is another California QB (Fresno State)
  12. If we won't let things from 1999 die, why would we stop arguing on this thread!
  13. top prospects vs. naming 4 talented prospects use of your vs. you're compensation vs. composition soley vs. solely Hey, it's all good. I'll give you a clue, pretty much every professional athlete has talent. OK?
  14. It's kind of useless trying to reason with you. I made a point that he is being outperformed by two other guys that couldn't stick with the Sabres, so there really is a reason that Zagrapan is not considered a top prospect anymore. People are not saying that just to make you go ballistic.
  15. Putting up "decent" stats in the AHL didn't get him a call up to the NHL for a reason. He is now trailing former Sabres Jakub Klepis (acquired as part of Varada deal and later dealt for Greer) and Jiri Novotny in points. BTW, look at the KHL link. There are quite a few names you'll recognize playing in that league like Federov, Zubov and Yashin just to name a few.
  16. 10 goals and 3 assists in 39 games in the KHL. I don't think we're missing anything. 1st round bust. The bust known as Zagrapan
  17. Don't know if Biscuit would ever be considered. He is in the College HOF as is Jim Ritcher. Wolford, Talley? I'm stretching a bit here.
  18. Sam Young. We got our bookend guards last year, and now get our bookend tackles this year. King was in and out as a starter at South Carolina this year.
  19. If I were living in NY, I'd be voting for this guy without a doubt. He's supporting WNY, unlike that b***h Clinton who used NY as a stepping stone and did nothing for WNY as Senator.
  20. My first guess would be the Steelers with 9 players and a coach: Joe Greene Player (1969-1981) Coach (1987-1991). Elected in 1987. Jack Ham Player (1971-1982). Elected in 1988. Mel Blount Player (1970-1983). Elected in 1989. Terry Bradshaw Player (1970-1983). Elected in 1989. Franco Harris Player (1972-1983). Elected in 1990. Jack Lambert Player (1974-1984). Elected in 1990. Chuck Noll Coach (1969-1991). Elected in 1993. Mike Webster Player (1974-1988). Elected in 1997. Lynn Swann Player (1974-1982). Elected in 2001. John Stallworth Player (1974-1987). Elected in 2002.
  21. Jimbo has an investor group. He's ready when the time comes.
  22. Jets over Bengals Bengals passing game struggling. Jets will shut down Benson. Cowboys over Eagles Cowboys are on a roll both on O and on D Patriots over Ravens Missing Welker has been overblown, Belicheat will find a way at home. Packers over Cardinals Too many injuries for the Cards and the Pack looks good. Would love to see Brees and Rodgers matchup.
  23. Absolutely. Carroll wants to get out bad, while the getting's good. The Pac 10 is holding their collective breath. It very well could be that USC football is in big trouble with the two rats jumping ship so far(McKnight and Carroll).
