Colts Greeted by 11 Fans at Airport
buffaloaggie replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone in New Orleans is hungover or still partying at Mardi Gras. -
Joe Ferguson played HS ball in Louisiana and college in Arkansas, both warm weather climates. So if a Cali QB has played in cold weather, he'll be a good NFL QB. Got it. If not, he can't QB in Buffalo. That totally explains TE, JPL and RJ. Has nothing to do with their mental makeup. Can we just agree that those guys are all wusses?

Brees more proof....Always take your QB FIRST
buffaloaggie replied to BillsPhan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I see some point in this statement, if you see a unique talent like Clausen at #9, you have to take him. Build your OL with FAs if you pick a QB. There are no FA QBs that are really a huge upgrade to what we have now. The Bills have a ton of needs. You take the best talent at your need position(s). Best QB, DT, DE, LB or Left OT available. We could luck out with a Matt Ryan or Aaron Rodgers, or we could get another JP. I'd think Clausen has a better chance of being a Ryan or Rodgers. -

Aaron Rodgers fell to GB kind of like Brees falling to the Chargers. Face it, next to the Lions, we are the poster child for f-ing up draft picks in the 2000's. We could have had Rodgers in 2005 if we hadn't traded up for Losman in '04. We traded up so the Packers couldn't get him, supposedly. Lori mentions Brees virtually was not touched the whole game. I think Freeney was the only sack. It helps to draft good OL to protect any QB. If Clausen's not there, let's go Left OT. -

Same as Drew Brees after LT. -

Taking JP Losman first was a great idea. Clausen is the only sure thing IMO. Bradford and his shoulder scare me. Beyond that, we'd be better off drafting a lineman to keep a future franchise QB healthy. -
I'd take one more shot with a Cali QB. Clausen or a lineman with our 1st pick. Brady is a Cali QB. He's done OK in cold weather. It has nothing to do with being from California and everything to do with our draft evaluators. Kelly better not be in that group.

In case anyone asks...there's no official date yet, last year's NFL schedule was announced on April 14th.

Floyd Little being elected into the HOF means that Terrell Davis is a shoo-in. This is an unworthy pick. The HOF selection commitee should be ashamed. He had ONE 1000-yard season. Certainly not a resume for a HOFer.

OH GOD NO!!! THE BILLS FOUND A NEW QB!
buffaloaggie replied to Bill Cowher's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If not Locker, Mallett next year. Agreed on an OT this year. For a stop gap QB this year, I have no problem with Thigpen. He's on par with any of the others we have, and he probably runs better than any of them. -
Rex Ryan middle finger incident
buffaloaggie replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see this happening. Just some d-bag in the crowd trying to incite him. Can't blame Ryan at all. -
The guy held out like he had something to offer day 1. Bills fans are still waiting...

That's great news. Thanks for the update

You may need to work on your delivery All this means is that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton won't be showing up to show their support for the victim. -
29 I was too slow on a question also. I chose my answer and I didn't even see the next question.

Which Home Game is most likely to be moved to Toronto?
buffaloaggie replied to erikturk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd think Pittsburgh would be the one. Their fans travel well, so if they are looking for a revenue generator, the Steelers would be the solution. -
Read the scouting notes from Senior Bowl practice. There's a common theme that agrees with your analysis: Monday Practice Notes: Robinson showed no arm strength at all. His passes have little speed and receivers were often slowing up in routes or reaching low to grab his errant throws. Tuesday Practice Notes: Again, Robinson just does not have the arm to play on the NFL level. He’s a good short range passer with accuracy but cannot zip his passes and really needs to put a lot of effort into throws in order to get speed on the ball. Wednesday Practice Notes: Accurate in the short field but that is where it all ends. Analysis: Robinson was accurate in the short field but has no arm strength for the next level. That was known coming into the week. He was a terrific signal caller on the college level but has limitations which will make him nothing more than a third passer for a timing offense at the next level.

Phil Simms implies that SBXXV Bills Defense
buffaloaggie replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think I remember Jim Kelly alluding to that during a sideline interview maybe during our last playoff game in '99. He mentioned if we had Wade's/Cottrell's defense from that year matched with the early 90's offense, there would have definitely been some Super Bowl wins for the Bills. -
Green Day sellout is complete
buffaloaggie replied to Delete This Account's topic in Off the Wall Archives
So true. How many more times will we hear Muse's Uprising? The song mentions "we will be victorious" in the chorus and it becomes an anthem on ESPN! As for Green Day, I wish someone would use 21 guns on them. -

AstroBot, I noticed in another thread, you thought Jonathan Crompton going in the 5th round to the Bills was too soon. I'm curious as to why? Tennessee started out the season looking awful, but their turnaround was due mostly to Crompton's improvement. You look at his games against UCLA (I saw that game in person) and Florida, and he was beyond awful. In later games against UGA and Alabama, he was a totally different QB. With the improvement over the season, I believe he'd be well worth a look in Rd 5. My biggest fear is settling for Pike in the 2nd round, and being stuck with him for years (see Losman and Edwards). I don't see any QB outside of Clausen as being a can't miss candidate. Bradford's injury scares me away from him. Build the line this year, take a chance on Crompton, if it doesn't look like anything promising, go for a top QB next year. That being said, my picks: Bulaga Gilyard Washington (Norwood is an OLB, is he not? We have to get Poz out of the middle.) Lang Crompton

52-30, a nice parting gift from A&M to Mike Leach. Happy trails!!! Nice to have the last laugh. By the way, it's ironic that Leach made the comments about the fat little girlfriends. Has Leach ever looked in the mirror? Check the pic below. I'd say he's about five months along. Is it yours, Senator? Someone needs a Manssiere
