  1. Must be a sign of the apocalypse
  2. 73.8, 69.7 and 43.2 (last season's ratings) might be what awful is referring to. With that said, I think the numbers will go up under Gailey. 43.2 It's not love for Troy Smith as much as that number. Brohm followed that up with 82.4, 39.6 and 34.9 this preseason. Then again, this might be what awful refers to.
  3. I know, I was being facetious. No one here really pays that much attention to the Bills on this board.
  4. He is a third stringer. He most likely wouldn't be playing right away. He's not calling every play and God forbid, the Bills pick up a 3rd string QB from another team. Can you think of a time that they've done that before? I don't get the argument about Troy Smith not fitting Gailey's system. Didn't we draft a mobile QB? The biggest knock on Smith is his height. Yes, he may come in and cause a disruption in the locker room by thinking he should start. Personally, I like the idea of having a mobile QB behind this O-Line. And yes, these are all stop gap moves leading up to drafting our future QB next season.
  5. Bills players and cuts eligible for PS
  6. He's had a whole Bills training camp to unseat "Captain Checkdown" Trent Edwards and he has not done it. I guess the excuse is that Gailey played favorites with Edwards and poor Brian Brohm was never given a fair shake. Everyone needs to face facts that Brohm is not the answer either, and there was a valid reason that Matt Flynn, a seventh round pick, beat him out in Green Bay, and why he still is a #3 QB in Buffalo with possibly better options as free agents (Troy Smith for one).
  7. QB is a true freshman and was Alabama player of the year in HS Football. How he wound up at JSU, I don't know.
  8. They decided to carry two QBs. He completed 64% of his passes and had a 93.9 rating in preseason. I think it makes a lot of sense to bring him in.
  9. Relatively speaking, yes, he does suck.
  10. I was going to point out the same thing. Our OL lacks talent, but we're lacking bodies on the OL. A couple injuries and the Bills are razor thin on the OL.
  11. Yup, making room for Leinart
  12. ESPN lead story tonight, I think.
  13. What's the OVER/UNDER? 37.5-39? I'll take the OVER.
  14. Let me help... IF spiller AND (jackson or lynch) NOT on field THEN surprised ELSE not surprised ENDIF of course, negative logic should not be used, therefore we use this logic: IF spiller AND (jackson or lynch) on field THEN not surprised ELSE surprised ENDIF
  15. Starting or gets the majority of carries. Either one.
  16. Coming off an ankle injury, playing in his 2nd preseason game and 1st in three weeks and he wasn't sharp. Duh! I'd love to see him traded too. Get what we can, but if the Bills can't get better than a 4th rounder for him, why make the trade? He is a decent RB. The 3rd best on the Bills right now, but injuries do happen (see preseason game 1) and I'd rather have Marshawn Lynch who is getting back up to speed, running the ball, rather than Bell or Simpson. Bell's stock took a hit against the Lions. I'm not sure he'll make the cut now.
  17. Think about how much money would be tied up at the WR position between Evans and V.Jackson. Pass.
  18. I can't say that our WRs are that far behind the other teams. New England yes, but the Jets? Who is their "go to guy"? Edwards? Cotchery? Holmes? I'd take Evans over them. The Bills problem is, and continues to be Trent Edwards. Welker was nothing before teaming up with Brady. If Edwards can continue his preseason performance, we may see some big scores and performances from Evans, Parrish and Jackson. We all know Trent is one hit away from putting on the Captain Checkdown suit. I just hope he will throw downfield as he appears to be doing more of in the preseason. Dolphins have Brandon Marshall, a ticking time bomb. I agree with the rest of your assessments.
  19. Jabari Greer was another recent UDFA for the Bills
  20. Our draft had 4 QBs go in the first nine picks. Schaub went #9. By the start of rd 4 for RBs, Addai, Pierre Thomas, Ronnie Brown, Moreno, Bush, Stewart, McCoy, Forte, Spiller, Best, Wells, Cadillac, M.Barber, Portis and Jacobs were what was left. Hightower and Forsett went in rd 9.
  21. Late in round 3. I had the #8 pick. The team at #10 had drafted Andre Johnson and Randy Moss with their 1st and 2nd round picks, so I didn't want to take a chance of them picking Foster. 13 RBS had gone before that. They wound up with Jamaal Charles after I took Foster.
  22. You got a steal in Foster. He looked like a total stud against Dallas. I targeted him very early this past Sunday. Spiller will do very well too. Four deep at RB, your team is loaded.
  23. I cornered the market with Bills in my 10 team league. Spiller in rd 6 Jackson in rd 10 Evans in rd 12 Ryan Mathews and Arian Foster are my top 2 RBS. Rodgers is my QB, Boldin and DeSean Jackson are my WRS.
  24. Michael Irvin...as big a douche off the field as he was on the field.
  25. Sounds like Harewood may not make the Ravens 53 man roster. I'd be surprised if he makes it to their practice squad without another team claiming him. Harewood
