Jerrod Johnson will not be an NFL QB. Accuracy is definitely lacking and he's very inconsistent. He can look incredible like he did against Texas, and then have a horrendous game like he did this past week against Florida International. These next two weeks will be very telling for Johnson as A&M faces Oklahoma State and Arkansas. Andy Dalton of TCU would be a better choice in round 3. He has been a winner at every level.

15.5 point spread. That's quite a bit, considering it is at Arkansas. I agree that this will show what Mallett can do against a college defense that approaches NFL caliber. Marcell Dareus is projected top 5, so if Mallett doesn't pan out, Dareus would be a good pick. He was the one that knocked McCoy out of the Championship game. Mark Barron is a 220 lb safety for Bama and a good one. If Jauron was still here, he'd be our pick.

Congrats on your retirement, Trent!

If Jauron was really a "moran"
buffaloaggie replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Jauron did have a good coaching staff. The problem is and always has been whoever makes the personnel decisions. Jauron was a problem since he was a terrible tactician on the field. Fitz is not gun shy, so that's why he'll win more than Edwards. That being said, I want us to bottom out so we can get a top five, if not the #1 pick overall. I'm so tired of drafting 8-12. If we're going to always suck, let's be the absolute worst and hopefully not screw up another draft. -
Ryan Mallett passed for 380 yards against a decent UGA defense, and came up with a clutch last minute TD. He shows some big play ability, and his college team is actually winning, unlike Tulane and Stanford with our last two QBs drafted. A QB has to be a proven winner in college to make it at the next level. I really can't think of a QB from a losing college team that has gone on to a successful NFL career.

You started this other post last week Wishful thinking I guess we'll see this type of thread every week from you. Awesome! There's a fine line between being optimistic and being an idiot. You may be crossing the line. -
[Please fix coaching] Houston deserves to lose.
buffaloaggie replied to DC Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He lucked out because it worked. Now, it'll give other coaches the motivation to do it. The Bills coaches won't have to worry about it though since they'll probably never be that close. -
An ownership group has to meet certain qualifications of which Kelly's group does. Short of showing you a document, which I can't, I'll take the word of the guy that told me. He pulled me aside after I had posed a question to Chris Brown, John Murphy and Mark Kelso here in Atlanta concerning their thoughts on Jim Kelly's role and future role with the Bills. He could be full of it, but again, I didn't ask him to tell me that. Of course, Kelly's group would have to come up with the highest bid.
-
And that would solve the Cornell Green problem too.
-
Yes, Kelly has a group of investors and they have been approved by the NFL to buy a franchise once the opportunity comes up. Beyond that, anything else said is purely speculative or an opinion.

Marshawn Lynch 'is not available'
buffaloaggie replied to earthtobrint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe Nix is just posturing to get a better deal. The deal makes sense, but the Packers need to ante up. Face it, a Packers draft pick next year is going to be a late round pick, so when you're talking trading for a pick with the Packers, you need to take that into consideration. A 4th round pick from the Packers is not too far from being a 5th. -

Buddy Nix slept in this morning and now Carter's a Buc Carter to Bucs -
Exactly. Brandon Jackson has also had a history problems here and there. The Packers would be stupid not to give up their third rounder (which will be late 3rd round) for Lynch.

Can we please just put Fitzy in....
buffaloaggie replied to reginald's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have to agree, especially with our schedule. I was counting on Chicago and Detroit wins, but I'm not even sure of that. It was a bad bet to pick the over, IMO. Fitzpatrick wouldn't make a difference with this OL. -
Nix better be on the phone with Ted Thompson right now. Apparently, Packer fans want this to happen. They're mentioning trading AJ Hawk for Lynch. Hawk lost his job to Clay Matthews and is only running on special teams

Did the guy that said this look at the second pic? I'd say she's a complete package! My fav

Gailey messes up by not starting Fred Jackson
buffaloaggie replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You made the point that it was a poor first pass. Again, it hit Jackson in the hands. You're proven wrong there. You want stats, Lynch had the best run of the day (15 yards). WOW! Jackson had the most yards (19). WOW! Trent Edwards had the best yards per carry average (6.0). Maybe we should put him at running back!!! When it comes down to it, our offensive numbers totally sucked. Only an idiot would try to make a point of saying a guy who gained 19 yards on 4 carries is the man. No one will do well in this rotation. More than likely, the running game will struggle against the Packers, no matter who is back there. No defense respects Trent Edwards. Fix the line, fix the QB and we'll have something to talk about with our RBs. Until then, the Bills will continue to struggle. Oh yes, Gailey messed up by rotating running backs, Gailey messed up by putting the Bills in a 2nd and 10 hole by trying to throw to a guy getting over a hand injury. Gailey did not mess up by not starting Jackson. As someone else pointed out, Fred Jackson did start. You're proven wrong there. Seems like you can't admit when you're wrong and you just choose to change the argument. -
Gailey messes up by not starting Fred Jackson
buffaloaggie replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, try doing a search before starting a new topic on something that's already been discussed. Wasn't thrown well? It hit Jackson in his hands. All we know is this rotation of running backs will not work. Fred Jackson starting -
Fred Jackson is effective with this OL, because he is the only one that will run stright forward. I loved when Marshawn ran for ten yards parallel to the line and gained nothing. Typical Marshawn. Lynch is tough to bring down, that's the only thing good I can say about him.
-
Poz absolutely sucks. The day London Fletcher last played for the Bills was the last time we put a true stud out on the field. We don't have any leaders on this team. As well as OL, QB, we still have a huge need at LB. This team will be years away from being competitive unless we build through free agency also. I don't know if that will happen in Ralph's remaining lifetime. Actually I do know, it won't.
-
Yes, that will solve everything. The problem we have is our OL followed by QB. It still may be two years until we have the pieces in place to move forward. It doesn't matter who plays RB this year, the Bills will still be terrible.

Suspended two games Nick O'Leary flips off other team's player and crowd after taunting him as he walked off the field. Ohio referees overruled two fairly obvious touchdowns and robbed O'Leary's Florida HS team of a win over Glenville(OH). While I can't condone flipping the other team off, I can understand the frustration at that moment. Unfortunately, ESPN was there to capture the moment. BTW, the kid played great. He had nine catches for 152 yards in the game with a touchdown.
