  1. Bowers did absolutely nothing in their bowl game. Against ACC competition, his numbers are up for debate. Every time I see Nick Fairley play, he seems to be a difference maker. Right now, I'd say he's the pick.
  2. Another bomb against Nebraska by Locker, despite the win for UW. Can we finally put the talk about Locker to rest? As far as Henery goes, he is something else, and I can see him going much earlier than the 5th round. Quite the stat line. Looks like the only kick that he missed was blocked. FIELD GOALS FGM-FGA Pct 01-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-99 Lg Blk ----------------------------------------------------------------- Henery, Alex 18-19 94.7 0-0 5-5 3-3 8-8 2-3 53 1
  3. Really?? Thanks for the 411.
  4. A good game was spoiled by a horrible decision on the INT that lost the game for Mizzou, and that's would be what would worry me with this guy. Decision making. He has good physical tools, but he needs some major coaching. If he lasts until the 2nd or 3rd round, OK, but he is not worth a 1st rounder.
  5. Hence my caveat about the Bills knowing how to draft. Some people are delusional in thinking that if the Bills have a high enough pick, they won't f it up. With that said, one slot did cost us Patrick Willis, and we got Lynch. We just need to quit drafting RB's for one thing in the first round. Has anyone noticed that the best rookie RB went undrafted? CJ is not a full time back, and we will be making excuses for years, if we only had a line. No, he's a situational RB at best. He was a waste of a pick for the return that the Bills will get, but he'll sell jerseys!!!
  6. Not saying there's a whole lot of talent in this draft, but last year's meaningless win over the Colts cost us Rolando McClain, we got CJ. Two years ago, a late season win over Denver got us Aaron Maybin, instead of BJ Raji. It can mean a lot, if the Bills only knew how to draft well.
  7. I was down there in September. I went to Packy's sports bar in Lauderdale. Good group of Bills Backers, not the fanciest of places, but I enjoyed it. http://www.packysportspub.com/
  8. To make up for our 2006 draft gaffe.
  9. He didn't make much of a difference and a QB can influence a team's performance more so than any other player. You can look at our Bills as the perfect example of that. He did bring energy to a team going downhill, that's all I can say. He put up mediocre numbers at best. He was lucky on his TD pass. It should have been a pick. His delivery still looks like crap. Now that they do have film on him, do you think defensive coordinators will be able to effectively game plan for Tebow? He did his damage in the first half, and then the Broncos' Offense was shut down for the most part in the 2nd half. 2 FG's, 3 three and outs and a safety. It took halftime adjustments to shut the Tebow machine down. I'm not going to say he's a bust at this point, but he's closer to a bust than the QB of the future moniker that some want to put on him from watching him play yesterday.
  10. A&M will always have the last laugh with the 52-30 beatdown of Leach's Tech team while he whines about fat little girlfriends. Maybe the fat little girlfriends also share some blame for his current problems as well as that loss. I have not seen Leach on CBS, so I don't know how good of an analyst he is. I have to imagine it's killing him, and he can't wait to get back on the sidelines.
  11. Right now, Leach will take any job. He is becoming the NCAA's equivalent of Ted Nolan. That's why when the Minnesota job popped up, he was very open to it. Leach may be a few steps short from becoming a pariah, and his suing ESPN only makes him look like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Leach put out the feeler, but Minnesota didn't even make any contact. I do think you may be waiting a while to see the major program thing, but we'll see once the real discussions begin on potential hires.
  12. He looks too much like Zach Galifianakis with the beard
  13. Wasn't that C.J. Spiller? If there is a sure-bet, we'd bypass him for someone with raw talent and potential.
  14. He didn't overrun the QB and he held contain well. Somebody watched the films from the week before.
  15. I was looking at the draft value chart. It would take a 3rd and a 4th to move up that one spot, according to it. But yes, we couldn't afford to let another team get the #1 overall, if it meant losing Luck. NFL Draft position values
  16. The two worst teams on our schedule are both away (CIN and MINN), and the Bills do not stand much of a chance against Peyton Hillis and the Browns. The Bills do stand a chance with the Bengals and Vikings, so maybe those are the wins they were referring to. Carolina has a shot at a win against Arizona and that's about it. Most mocks have Carolina picking A.J. Green, so IF Luck did come out, and the Bills had the #2, we'd most likely get him. The thing that scares me is in that scenario, if Luck did come out, a team like the Cowboys could jump us and take Luck at #1, since the guy the Panthers like would probably be there at #3 or #4.
  17. Nice to see them rally round Fitz. At least they're having fun despite being 1-8.
  18. Do they give you anything else besides a piece of paper? You've truly been through the peaks of the 90s and are now stuck in the valley. Congrats on your 20 years.
  19. Buddy is still batting .000 Ralph just has no clue.
  20. This is just one of many needs...LT, QB, LB, DL. The Bills just need to quit whiffing on their draft picks. Pretty simple. My biggest worry is if they win one game, they possibly drop 2 spots in the draft. That would suck. They hurt themselves last year, beating Indy in the last game and winding up with Spiller instead of McClain, assuming they would have drafted the best player at a true need position. Maybe a bad assumption.
  21. Nice analogy
  22. I agree that Knox did more with less and he won everywhere he went, though his 2nd stint with the Rams was forgettable. Seattle, Buffalo and the Rams all had success with Knox at the helm, while Marv had Polian to build a vastly more talented team. Success in Buffalo, losing record and not as much success in KC. Not saying Levy was a bad coach, but Knox seems like he was more consistent with his success.
  23. I had high hopes for the Bears game... We're all trying to laugh through this and we'd all like to think the Bills have bottomed out. Deep breath.
  24. And behind door number three... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ui_Q4qBDJY
  25. Quinn would be good, but I'd rather see us take Dareus first, and follow that up with Von Miller as the 2nd round pick. Did anyone see Texas A&M and Oklahoma this past week? I have watched Miller play quite a bit and he can apply great pressure on the QB and he is not a 1 year wonder. He led the nation in sacks last year, but was slowed by injuries earlier this year.
