Bills interested in OT Tyson Clabo

Chad Speck is Clabo's agent. Speck also happens to be Albert Haynesworth's agent. He's a busy man today. -

You're preaching to the choir. I have no expectations, but I do hope. I want the one free agent signing to open possibilities as I said, but with this organization, the flood of FAs coming here 99.9% won't happen. Ask for just one FA signing, and Clabo makes a hell of a lot of sense. We have the money advantage. Atlanta has the home field advantage. That's what we've established. Now we wait and see. -

Now they have to perform on the ice. At least Pegula got it done. That's a HUGE step in the right direction compared to where the Sabres had been. Unfortunately, it does take overpaying to overcome owners trashing an organization's reputation for more than a decade. The Bills face the same climb now. -

The free agent we have signed worked with Gailey before. So guys that have played for the coaches will sign here. Beyond that, the Bills organization has a perception problem to overcome. To overcome that, we have to count on bidding a FA out of the affordability of a team strapped by cap concerns. If we get Clabo in the door, maybe others will open their eyes to the possibility of playing in Buffalo. -

Dahl, Blaylock, Clabo...not thinking the Falcons can keep all three. Another big factor. Bills have a golden opportunity here. -

Buffalo has a horrible reputation with NFL players (and people in general). Sabres have reversed their bad rep. That's why I'm thinking the Falcons will have a chance to match and will get a bit of a hometown discount if the numbers work. It would not have gone this long if Clabo did not want to stay in Atlanta. -

Anyone can talk about experiences their friends have had. My friends have had break-ins here in Atlanta, just one last week. There was a meth-lab in the first apt complex that I lived in here. My cousin got his butt kicked in Fort Erie...my car was broken into in Harrisburg, PA. Crime is random, but very common in both Buffalo and Atlanta. If you're a hockey player, Buffalo is one of the greatest places to be. It has a lot to do with ownership making a place great, not the city. You get your group of friends and you're set. Arthur Blank > Ralph Wilson. BUT, with the Clabo situation, Bills cap room > Falcons cap room. I think that's what may speak volumes in the end. -

I live in Atlanta now. Jobs are fine, plenty to do. Buckhead, Virginia Highlands are OK, but car break-ins, someone getting mugged or murdered fills the news, not just leads the news. I worked downtown, riding MARTA, their commuter train. You walk out of the station each morning welcomed by the smell of piss every day. Cheating scandals in their schools, corrupt politicians. Lovely place. It is convenient as a Delta and AirTran hub, if you travel a lot. -

Atlanta and Clabo are far apart. If Clabo wanted to sign, he'd be Bill now. Falcons will get a final chance to match. JMHO. -
And, just four years ago, she was top teacher. It's kind of creepy reading this article knowing what she just did. top teacher

Nix has not done much yet, agreed. Last year's draft showed nothing. I am not convinced Spiller will do anything and he never showed in college that he had the potential to be an every down back. I hated the pick too. Forget the obvious Dareus pick. I think Sheppard was a brilliant pick this year. He is a true leader on the field a la Rolando McClain. Just as we always hope guys pan out, at least the Bills drafted for defense this year. I am thankful Carolina picked Newton in order to stock our D with Dareus. Remember, Wannstadt was brought in to coach the LBs. I'm sure these guys will get up to speed fast. Also, an undrafted TE is all of the sudden anointed a "great" TE??? Great in college does not translate to the pros very often. Rarely (not saying never) do UDFAs become "great". -
Buddy Nix on WGR550 this morning....

This. Nix will make a little better assessments on talent, but his hands are still tied by an owner unwilling to apply a crow bar to his wallet. I will never get the Kelsay signing. That's the only time Ralph has spent money lately and for what? Nothing has changed at OBD, and we will be relegated to hoping for 8-8 at best. -
Havin' a nice nap, Buddy?

For all the complaining about the ridiculous Kelsay signing, Poz for a million more per year would have been beyond comprehension. Read about Sheppard, and I think your worries will be lessened. We lost experience, but with Dareus up front, the new ILB will be freed up to make plenty of plays. Poz was not a playmaker. Solid is even a stretch, IMO. The Bills drafted TWO ILBs. I think they knew Poz wanted out or they realized he was not a good fit in a 3-4. -

Poz signed for $7 mil per year. The Bills drafted two ILBs from the SEC. Both were top tacklers in the SEC. The Bills are fine, and I almost think they had the foresight that Poz would be gone judging from their draft (as well as lack of depth too). They f'd up with Kelsay, we all know it. They weren't going to do the same with Poz, thankfully. Addition by subtraction. Good luck Poz. Enjoy your riches and lack of fans in Jacksonville. -

Anyone playing behind Marcell Dareus will be better. Kelvin Sheppard will start as a rookie. -

Can't say I know much about any except that I saw Moody play quite a bit with Florida. In big games, he was totally useless. Bills are wasting their time on this one. -

With Nick Barnett and others being released, I say you low ball Poz, if he doesn't bite you move on. I'm tired of seeing him making tackles leaving 2nd and short. Let him get overpaid by some other team. Remember Chris Kelsay. -
Schefter Reporting on Some Cuts
buffaloaggie replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not breaking my heart either, but a nightmare scenario would be that they suck so bad that they get the #1 to draft Luck. Speaking of the Cowboys, Marc Columbo would be a good fit with the Bills. -
She had one top ten hit. She'll have a bigger rep in death than alive.

For once, they are truly in a position to bluff. The Cards are desperate for a QB. I hope that's who the Bills are baiting. Work that poker face, Buddy. Either swap spots with AZ, or Dareus does fall to us, if AZ swaps with Denver. Most would be happy with accumulating draft picks by trading down. -
Report: Four ex-Auburn players got cash
buffaloaggie replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, doubtful. Schools do clean up their acts, and then they suck. Vanderbilt will be the only school eligible from the SEC. Not sayin' bowl eligible though. Just not on probation. -
