ATTN: Atlanta Bills Backers
buffaloaggie replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tavern 99 is so much easier to get to for anyone coming from north of Atlanta, not having to deal with Connector traffic anymore. It's right by (off of) East Andrews and West Paces Ferry. Played trivia there many a time before this announcement was made. Loving the choice. -
This is spot on. Anyone thinking Gabbert will put up big numbers anytime soon is delusional. Evans will likely fade even more into NFL obscurity in Jax. Sad end to a career.

DrD's Mock Draft and 53 Man Roster
buffaloaggie replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good job on this. The only complaint is, of course, no QB picked. Other than that, I like the quality in the 1st at WR, and flooding the roster with OT's hoping one will pan out. Who knows? CB depth is always a priority considering what they command when their rookie contracts expire. I think Maze would make the 53 as a return specialist. I don't want to say who he reminds me of though, cause I wouldn't want to jinx him. Also, the Bills have to take Ryan Miller, OG from Colorado...just sayin'. -

Bills trading up for Tannehill?
buffaloaggie replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For those of you that believe Mayock's assessments are all that, read Hensley's slant This is from an ESPN Insider writer who covers the AFC North Also, to those who talk about Tannehill suffering with A&M's lack of running game...they rushed for 200 yards a game last year. -
QB Ryan Tannehill to Bills at #10 ??
buffaloaggie replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do have to agree that we wouldn't even be talking Tannehill, if Barkley had declared. I am not a huge Landry Jones fan though. Jerrod Johnson played 3 ranked teams in 2010 at A&M and he was 0-3. Tannehill played three ranked teams, including 2 top ten teams, and was 2-1. Johnson's passes wobbled even more than Tebow's, and while I've been critical of Tannehill of making bad judgments, Jerrod Johnson was much worse at making mistakes. I'm not saying Tannehill should be a first rounder, but I am saying there is no comparison between Tannehill and Johnson as to who throws a better ball. Johnson started 2 1/2 years to Tannehill's 1 1/2, so there's the explanation for Johnson having his number advantage over Tannehill. -

Bills trading up for Tannehill?
buffaloaggie replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love that some folks on here believe we should base our picks on a performance in one game. Considering Tannehill's final 14 games, in four of them he threw 3 INTs in each game. I can't say much more about how many bad decisions he makes. In the Meineke Bowl, A&M had the game at the beginning of the 4th Q, and his terrible force of a pass gave Northwestern new life. Tannehill had a clutch drive at the end of the game for a game clinching FG, but you hit it on the head when you said "he looks good one minute and horrible the next". No consistency, and definitely not enough to even consider him in the 1st, or even the 2nd round. Tannehill is a very smart kid, but he just doesn't seem to have good football sense. -

They said that was the number for the "framework" of the deal Manning gave, but they are starting the negotiating with PM's agent, Tom Condon. No agreement, no more details. -

Bills trading up for Tannehill?

Fuller participated in A&M's pro day, when most thought he would not. He is getting back in shape, but yes he is OK, from a medical perspective. He is definitely worth a look, especially when you're talking a later round draft pick. -

22-35 204 yards 2 TD 3 INT against LSU. He was awful in this game and he followed it up with three 3-INT games his senior year. Bad decision maker. He is not a franchise QB. He took a team that was picked in the top ten and totally underachieved at A&M. His college coach is now OC for the Dolphins. Hopefully, Miami picks him, leaving a top OT for the Bills to pick. Fuller looked great in this game, but was bothered by a hamstring injury his senior year. He was a great WR prospect, but his injury problem has hurt his stock. Fuller was matched up against and really got the best of Patrick Peterson in the Cotton Bowl. -
If Bell is signed, the Bills are truly in a position to get the BPA. We have needs, but we'll be OK at pretty much every position. CB, OL, WR. Just don't reach for a player, is all I wish for in this draft. The Bills should not overpay for Manningham, which is what I've seen with every WR signing except for Reggie Wayne and Stevie. Glad we didn't get Meachem, seeing what the Chargers paid. BTW, we have Troup too, so saying a "ton" of DTs is fitting.

QB Ryan Tannehill to Bills at #10 ??
buffaloaggie replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this time last year after the combine, he had Ryan Mallett going to the Jags at #16 (before the trade up to #10) in his Mock draft, Nick Fairly as the #2 pick. Give him credit, he got Newton and Dareus correct, though he dropped Newton two weeks later in favor of Fairly at #1. 2011 Mock after combine I gotta agree, we need players now, and not developmental guys in the 1st round. Bunting's (or this website's) scouting report mentions Melvin Ingram's long reach. Everything I've read says he has short arms. Again, Tannehill is recovering from a broken foot, and has a terrible habit of forcing too many passes. His judgment is terrible. There is no way we should be talking about Tannehill even being drafted in the 1st round, but some team may make a desperate pick. -

Nix attends Alabama pro day, but Richardson
buffaloaggie replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same guy thought Claiborne had the nickname honey badger. You're not the one who is missing something. Hightower was the weakside and then MLB at Bama and did not do much in pass coverage, so I'd say no, he would not be able to play SAM LB. Hightower would be a serious reach at #10, so unless he lasts until our pick in round 2, I don't think he should even be considered. Plus, our Middle LB is Sheppard. Hightower is not the best guy to address the Bills immediate needs. -

Got to figure Nix is talking to Upshaw. Anyone notice March 6th's retweet by Upshaw from a Buffalo fan? Thinking Upshaw wants to join Dareus in Buffalo -
Yup, we don't have the depth yet, so keeping the top talent is huge. Very encouraging development and now they can make their plans for FA and the draft without a critical need for a WR.
