  1. Amazing how a little research would make talking about Jahri Evans possibly coming to the Bills a moot point
  2. http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/28221/scratch-golfer-kyle-williams-rebuffs-retirement-rounds-for-12th-bills-season Read this article. Williams has more than Wood and Incognito to hang with. You really need a Xanax.
  3. Change your name to Chicken Little. Bills will be fine.
  4. More than half of Alabama's admissions are from out of state. Bama does not have high standards when it comes to admissions. https://www.thoughtco.com/university-alabama-gpa-sat-act-data-786689 Saban, of course, will defend academics in order to maintain that college and football should go hand in hand. Dude's making over $11 mil per year. He has to protect what's funding his nest egg.
  5. That was my thought exactly. Once he gets a little history behind him, he'll be the most sought after scout in the NFL, if his projections pan out.
  6. A retroactive study would tend to make me think the study's hindsight will be 20-20. Still, that doesn't take away from this study, which is impressive. I do like your summary of his report. The chart makes me believe the best thing to do is trade up to get Mayfield, but if not, draft Jackson and Lauletta, hoping one of them pans out. Bills will need all their picks most likely. I keep thinking with our OL, we need a mobile QB, but hopefully one that can hit a receiver in stride.
  7. The Hartnell hit was cheap. Saying he wasn't trying to injure is BS. He is going full speed into a player against the boards. Whether he hits him in the back or not, he was going for a big hit to fire things up, and for maximum punishment. He has always been in the middle of controversy, whether giving it, or taking it. I would not feel bad if he had his career ended by a hit. Marchand either.
  8. Manziel had comparisons to Flutie, and I think he needs to follow his route to the NFL, via the CFL. Manziel will not prove himself carrying a clipboard. He can be a starter in the CFL, and hopefully, for his sake, can find some of that college magic. I went to A&M, and saw more of him than likely anyone else on this board. He did make his reputation by throwing jump balls to Evans, throwing bubble screens, and by scrambling. He needs experience to prove himself, and that will only come in the CFL.
  9. I'm not a big fan of Darnold. Carson Palmer is likely the only USC exception. Otherwise, you have Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Todd Marinovich, Matt Barkley, Rob Johnson, Matt Cassel, Rodney Peete, Pat Haden, John David Booty, Cody Kessler, Sean Salisbury, Paul McDonald and Vince Evans. Not much NFL success.
  10. If Josh Rosen were the best QB in the draft, he'd be gone by pick 6. How can you draft OL to protect him if you give up your draft capital? Do we have a line in place that can protect him. We lost Wood. We're hoping Dawkins will develop. It'll probably be the same. Bills have done nothing to address the WR position either. If Rosen is supposed to get rid of the ball quickly, he needs a WR that can get open quickly. Bills can't afford to give up that much draft capital, when frankly the difference between Rudolph and Rosen is not that much. We have too many holes, and too much dead cap to go after any WR FAs. Especially when McDermott only addresses Defensive holes via FA. Back to the QB situation, this may wind up being one of the most overhyped QB draft classes ever. They've been pumping it up for two years now.
  11. The last point you make should eliminate Josh Allen. Rosen has too many red flags. I made this point months ago, a QB from SoCal with a non-fiery disposition equals Rob Johnson V2.0
  12. Mason Rudolph was rated as the weakest arm of the top six QBs by CBS. Yet, if you read about one of his receivers, James Washington had the most receptions of 20 yards downfield of any player in the NCAA. So, I guess we can throw out CBS as a credible player rating source. I'm in on Rudolph, and the Bills can stand pat to draft him, keeping their other picks. Drafting James Washington wouldn't be a bad idea either.
  13. Bills drafts have been horrible, we all know. It hasn't been Beane. Saints (Ditka) traded a whole draft for Ricky Williams. How'd that work out? Nothing is for certain, typically. All I know is overpaying and panicking keeps a team mediocre at best. We traded for Rob Johnson, we traded up for Losman, we thought Trent Edwards would work because Bill Walsh said so. Nothing is a guarantee, so why overpay?
  14. So, you're saying we overpay and blow the whole load on the #2 pick? Yes, we're panicking again. Face it, we f'd up when we drafted Cyrus Kouandjio instead of Jimmy Garoppolo because someone in the organization thought Manuel was the one and only answer.
  15. I said it in another thread, as teams take QBs, other top players in other positions slide to the Bills. Beane will now be in a position to draft a top player to fill another need.
  16. We traded up to get Losman. Bills panicked when they heard the Packers wanted him. Packers stood pat and drafted Aaron Rodgers the next year. Sometimes, you need to wait even longer.
  17. Look at it this way, teams ahead of 12 and 22 draft QBs, and players at other positions slide to the Bills. I still say Mason Rudolph would be a nice consolation, and we don't stop there drafting QBs.
  18. Matt Moore has more of a tie to Daboll than McCarron does. Moore has got to be the fallback plan
  19. Choices are down to Matt Moore, McCown, Bridgewater, McCarron or waiting for the Eagles to blink on Foles
  20. Article stated he was offered $60mil guaranteed over two years by another team.
  21. True. Still, Clay is not a top 6 TE, though he's paid that way. Burton certainly is not either. Just speaks to the weakness of the Free Agent talent pool. Graham is better in name, Eifert is an injury waiting to happen.
  22. O'Leary has the best hands on the team, IMO. Rarely if ever let's a ball get into his body. Yarborough has been a great find. Thomas, I'm waiting. He's just not there yet, but they gave O'Leary chances after his slow beginning, and he's now one of the most reliable receivers on the team.
  23. If that's the case, I'm not sure where management's thoughts are. This Offensive line is good with the run, but pass protection is not good at all. Bills need a mobile QB, and Darnold and Rosen do not fit the Bills. Mayfield seems ideal. Josh Allen would be better. Lamar Jackson's accuracy would be the second coming of Tyrod.
  24. After the Cordy Glenn trade, the Bills appear to have enough draft value to move to #2
