WR Cam Phillips #5 - UDFA Virginia Tech
buffaloaggie replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Foster underperformed in college, and apparently isn't drawing too much attention so far at camp. Don't get me wrong, I understand the potential, but Bama fans had to be frustrated seeing this guy essentially flame out during the past four years. Phillips performed at VA Tech, becoming their all-time leading receiver. He is drawing attention in camp thus far. I'd say he has a good shot at beating out Foster. We'll see how they play in another week. -
COMEBACKSZN Manziel is back!
buffaloaggie replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He really never had the chance to show it. It was Masoli's job, and he did nothing to lose it. You're right, he is grateful from his comments after the trade. It also helped the guy who recruited him in college is once again his coach. He redshirted under Mike Sherman, because Tannehill was still QB when Manziel arrived. -
COMEBACKSZN Manziel is back!
buffaloaggie replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll see step one of the comeback this Friday on ESPN2. Even better, he's playing the team that just traded him. If he can't get motivated for this one, he should just quit -
Difference again between Pats and Bills
buffaloaggie replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How quickly they fall. Really hoping Malachi Dupre will step up. He always impressed me at LSU, despite having awful QBs there. -
Unfortunately, we'll likely need to keep extra blockers in to pass protect, leaving our QB with fewer options, let alone, those fewer options will need to run effective routes to get open. 0-8? A little too pessimistic. I'd say 3-5 though, but that's bordering on too optimistic. Our D will be a top 10 unit. Lots of low scoring games. Lots of stacking D's against our run. Bet the Under often.

You should be able to put any RB in, and not lose much effectiveness, agree that the OL is the most important area. Yeah, I don't think there's much of a Dennison fan club here. It's been aggravating watching the Bills draft, passing on so many OL, ever since they got burned by big Mike Williams busting in 2002. They've taken a total of 5 OL in the first two rounds of the draft since then. I'd be willing to say that's the least of any team in that time period. Besides our inept ability to find a QB, you wonder why we were 0 for making the playoffs in the 2000's until last year? Bills were spoiled by finding Peters as a UDFA, and it made them think we could always find a gem in the late rounds.

OK, Daboll is putting more expectations on Castillo, but he's not leaving him out to dry by any means. I think it's a good thing, as long as the scheme for the upcoming opposition doesn't stray too far, week to week. Is it asking too much of the offensive linemen to focus on a different plan each week? I would hope not. I think anything is better than Dennison's unimaginative schemes and play calling.

Incognito ok at home, thanks Buffalo
buffaloaggie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The question is, can he survive without football? Remember Barrett Robbins, the Raiders' Center who skipped out on Super Bowl eve? This is him after football from a 2016 incident: http://www.tmz.com/2016/08/11/barret-robbins-arrested-for-battery/ I'm surprised the guy has made it to 2018 -

$70,000,000 High School Football Stadium
buffaloaggie replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
What's another $10 million in fixes, just like Allen. Notice that PBK does not list either Allen or McKinney in their featured projects on their website. Happened to drive by the Grapevine stadium when I was in the DFW area and wondered how their improvement project is going. People who are shocked by the size of these stadiums are probably not making the connection with Friday Night Lights. -
The Book is Closed on the Mahomes Trade
buffaloaggie replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watkins won't fail, because all he'll be is a decoy, as you mention, for Kelce, Hunt, and Hill. A very expensive decoy though. Hill is gonna go nuts this year. Tyreek Hill's catch rate vs targets is right near the top of the league, and he's just scratching the surface. Mahomes won't fail because he has Andy Reid. -
COMEBACKSZN Manziel is back!
buffaloaggie replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When the Blue Jays TV ratings outperform the CFL, you need something. Manziel could be the best thing to happen to the CFL in a while. -
NFL.com Projects 2019 Compensatory Picks
buffaloaggie replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We keep signing more quality FAs than we lose. Understandably, no compensation. -
The fact that he was on some pretty bad teams, with bad coaches means his time would be limited. If he had worked for Belichick and Saban and been let go by one of them, I'd be worried. Instead, he seemed to excel, and had some good recommendations from two of the best in the business. I think Daboll's good moving forward.

[edited title] Robert Foster, UDFA - Roster shot?
buffaloaggie replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest knock on Foster was he didn't take care of the ball after catch. He had 35 career receptions and fumbled 3 of them, losing 2. He could be a return man, but will likely just be a decoy to stretch the field so the Bills can throw underneath him. Assuming he makes the team. -
Tyrod Taylor turning heads in Cleveland.
buffaloaggie replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saw it all the time. That's most fan's biggest frustration with Taylor, along with taking sacks. The subject of this discussion is Tyrod Taylor supposedly turning heads. Not Allen and our O-Line. Tyrod can get a team so far, but if a team needs to win based on his passing ability, that team will likely come up on the short end. Does anyone have stats on how many times we ran for a first down vs passing for it? All I know is I watched plenty of Receivers not getting hit in stride and losing a chance to get the first because of it. -
Current Bills on Chopping Block
buffaloaggie replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The changes due to Dennison's inept offense caused Miller's downfall. Agreed, Miller is better suited to Daboll's scheme. I can't see the Bills cutting Miller, especially considering Incognito's quitting and he's relatively inexpensive. -
Tyrod Taylor turning heads in Cleveland.
buffaloaggie replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember when Tyrod couldn't hit a guy in stride, and the Bills would not get the 1st down, again and again -
Bills UDFA signings & Rookie minicamp invitees
buffaloaggie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
37% of UDFAs made NFL rosters last year. Depends on injuries, depends on hard work, and of course ability. I hope the WRs show something, as well as some Offensive Linemen. DBs too. That said, Levi Wallace could be a find. He is underweight, but a 6 foot CB with ballhawking instincts is a definite plus. Started as a walk-on. His teammate at Bama, WR Robert Foster, was the fastest player on their roster, but lacked accomplishments due to a lack of instincts, supposedly. -
What would you like to do with #96?
buffaloaggie replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Robert Foster - underutilized at Alabama because Jalen Hurts would only throw to Ridley. The guy is the fastest player on Bama's team this past year. Can get him in a late round. #96 - just get the best OL or WR on the board. Nothing else. -
Yes. This morning in SC for 43 minutes, then a return flight back to BUF. Does College of Charleston have a good QB?

Peterman Works w/ Tom House, Adds Velocity
buffaloaggie replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bit of a downer, indeed. I believe we had a QB playing that London game that made bad reads and bad decisions, kind of like Peterman. Unless they worked on Peterman's keys and recognitions, the added velocity just means the DB will make the pick faster. -
I'd put Miller in at Guard again. Hopefully, McDermott hasn't burned him out because of Dennison's crappy offense. A power run scheme better suits Miller. LT - Dawkins LG - Ducasse C - Groy RG - Miller RT - Newhouse We have players that seem interchangeable at any line position. A Dawkins injury would spell disaster though.
